Usually MariaDb stores database under /var/lib/mysql/ directory.
I can connect to my own database using this working code:

_db.setHostName("localhost");
_db.setDatabaseName("mydb");
_db.setUserName("user");
_db.setPassword("password");
qDebug() << _db.open(); // true
I copied the database to another location:
$ sudo cp -r /var/lib/mysql/mydb /home/mark/mydir/
Changing the database name to:
_db.setDatabaseName("/home/mark/mydir/mydb");
leads to fail when open() is called.
The error is:
QMYSQL: Unable to connect", "Unknown database 'home/mark/mydir/mydb'
What is the correct syntax do specify a different path?
mysql does not locate database using path, you have to specify the database name instead

I am trying to run the example grakn migration "phone_calls" (using python and JSON files).
Before reaching there, I need to load the schema, but I am having trouble with getting the schema loaded, as shown here: https://dev.grakn.ai/docs/examples/phone-calls-schema
System:
-Mac OS 10.15
-grakn-core 1.8.3
-python 3.7.3
The grakn server is started. I checked and the 48555 TCP port is open, so I don't think there is any firewall issue. The schema file is in the same folder (phone_calls) as where the json data files is, for the next step. I am using a virtual environment. The error is below:

Nevermind -- I found the solution, in case any one else runs into a similar problem. The server configuration file needs to be edited: point the data directory to your project data files (here: the phone_calls data files) & change the server IP address to your own.
I'm trying to restore an a Xen VM (domain) from state file which I create previously. At the restore I need to modify the XML of this VM with the following command:
virsh restore domU.state --xml newconfig.xml
This command triggers an error with the following text:
error: Failed to restore domain from domU.state
error: argument unsupported: xml modification unsupported
What I already try:
restore without XML, which works perfectly.
run the command with the original xml the domain was created from
run the command with a totally different file which is not even an XML
At step 2. & 3. the error output was always the same.
Used versions:
xen 4.11.1
libvirt 5.1.0
os fedora 30
As the error message suggests, the ability to pass in custom XML when restoring a guest from a snapshot, is unfortunately not supported by the libvirt Xen (libxl) driver. This feature only works with QEMU/KVM at this time.
I am uploading a file from a collection of different servers to one data server. I am using psftp and one out of 20+ servers is producing a permissions problem.
Remote working directory is /
psftp> cd Remote_Directory\
Remote directory is now /Remote_Directory/
psftp> put C:\folders\containing\file\FILE.zip
/Remote_Directory/: open for write: failure
psftp> quit
It appears like a permissions issue on the remote directory, however, why am I only getting the issue on one server? The batch is identical on all of the 20+ servers.
PUT command expects a file name at the end of the destination location.
Please try the following code
put C:\folders\containing\file\FILE.zip /Remote_Directory/FILE.zip
The path in the error message is an exact path to the remote file the psftp tried to create. See outfname in below code snippet:

As the path is obviously not correct (lacks file name), it seems that psftp got confused somehow. I believe it's likely due to wrong (back)slash you have used in the cd command.
Try cd Remote_Directory/.
In my case, it's a permission issue on the remote server, i.e. the account you are using to log on doesn't have the write permission for the remote folder.
When using korma.db, defdb can take a sqlite3 helper to establish a connexion to a sqlite3 database. However, I've tried placing the database on the root of the project directory, alongside project.clj, and on the resources directory, but when I try to use the db I get:
Failure to execute query with SQL:
SELECT "examples".* FROM "examples" :: []
SQLException:
Message: [SQLITE_ERROR] SQL error or missing database (no such table: examples)
Needless to say my sqlite database contains an examples table. When trying to do this, I get a sqlite.db file of zero bytes placed on the root project dir.
I'm doing this from lein repl within the project, by the way.

in my project.clj:
My project structure looks like:
root/project.clj
root/db/dev.sqlite3
root/src/...
and this is how I use korma to access the db:

Basically, using subname, I'm able to search in the root of the lein project. I added db/ in the subname per my dir structure above.
I need some Powershell advice.
I need to install an application's MSP update file on multiple Win08r2 servers. If I run these commands locally, within the target machine's PS window, it does exactly what I want it to:
$command = 'msiexec.exe /p "c:\test\My Application Update 01.msp" REBOOTPROMPT=S /qb!'
invoke-wmimethod -path win32_process -name create -argumentlist $command
The file being executed is located on the target machine
If I remotely connect to the machine, and execute the two commands, it opens two x64 msiexec.exe process, and one msiexec.exe *32 process, and just sits there.
If I restart the server, it doesn't show that the update was installed, so I don't think it's a timing thing.
I've tried creating and remotely executing a PS1 file with the two lines, but that seems to do the same thing.
If anyone has advice on getting my MSP update installed remotely, I'd be all ears.
I think I've included all the information I have, but if something is missing, please ask questions, and I'll fill in any blanks.

My process for this is:
Read a CSV for server name and Administrator password
Create a credential with the password
Create a new session using the machine name and credential
Create a temporary folder to hold my update MSP file
Call a PS1 file that downloads the update file to the target server

Call another PS1 file that applies the patch that was just downloaded –>> This is where I’m having issues.

>>> Execute the file specified in the variable
Close the session to the target server
Move to the next server in the CSV…
If I open a PS window and manually set the variable, then execute it (as shown above in the two lines of code), it works fine. If I create a PS1 file on the target server, containing the same two lines of code, then right click > ‘Run With PowerShell’ it works as expected / desired. If I remotely execute my code in PowerGUI, it returns a block of text that looks like this, then just sits there. RDP’d into the server, the installer never launches. My understanding of the “Return Value” value is that “0″ means the command was successful.

I even added a line of code between the variable and the execution that creates a text file on the desktop, just to verify I was getting into my ‘executeFile’ file, and that text file does get created. It seems that it’s just not remotely executing my MSP.

Here's the strategy I used to embed an msp into a powershell script. It works perfectly for me.

$msiArgs = "/update `"$file`""
$msiArgs = "$msiArgs $silentArgs $additionalInstallArgs"
Start-Process -FilePath msiexec -ArgumentList $msiArgs -Wait
You probably don't need to use the variables if you don't want to, you could hardcode the values. I have this set up as a function to which I pass those arguments, but if this is more of a one-shot deal, it might be easier to hard-code the values.
