I'm making an Angular Material website. It contains a date picker. The date picker has the popup enabled but input disabled. This results in a style with a dotted line under the input element. How do i change the styling to make the dotted line solid?
The documentation has an example of the date picker with disabled input right here: https://material.angular.io/components/datepicker/examples See the "Disabled datepicker"part.
On input tag use readonly attribute.

Using CSS, how do I change the style of Chome's time input popup? The highlighted area below.
I am trying to implement custom tool tip in ag-grid, but the tooltip is partially visible.
For reference, i have source code present in Plunker. There are two ag-arid instances as an example. If you mouse over on first ag-grid on first column of last row, tooltip is partially visible.
is there a way to show full content of tooltip.

You need to set a height on the :host selector in your custom tooltip component. E.g. set it to 300px, then the tooltip should display above your mouse pointer when on the last row, allowing it be completely visible.
Demo.
enter image description hereI'm using the CDateTimeCtrl class date picker in MFC C++. The date picker is created as below and it creates a picker control with a 3D border by default, but I would like to change the border. How can I set different border than default?
DTPicker.Create(WS_CHILD | WS_VISIBLE| DTS_UPDOWN| WS_BORDER,
CRect(400,0,400,12), this, 3);
Haven't coded in years, and started to play around with Google App Maker last week. As the title suggests, I have a couple questions.
I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to dynamically change the color of a button upon click. Right now I have the button changing enabled status to false on click, and using CSS style to change the color of disabled buttons to gray. Is there a way to do this without disabling the button?
Is there a way to wrap text in a button? Right now I am overlaying a Label on the button with the correctly styled font, but would ideally like to have that text be from the Button, as the space the label takes up is not clickable.
Thanks in advance for any help!
add some lines to your page or global styles this
this should let you wrap text.
.app-Button {
white-space: pre-wrap;
}
Say you want to change your button blue when a Boolean value gets changed to "true" in your data source.
add a class to your styles
.blue{
background: blue;
}
then select your button and in the property editor>Display>styles click the drop down and select binding
set the binding to
=#datasource.item.**YourBooleanItem** === true? ['blue']:[]
Clarification there are two steps
Define a CSS class
Add the Class to the "styles" property of
your widget.
The Answer above uses a "binding" but also means that you've got to have an Item with this binding which you may not want.
I wanted a 'decimal' button to be orange when it was active. So on the Page I created a DecimalActive property. I used the onAttach event to set this property to false.
I created a CSS Class (local to the page) named Orange and Normal
.Orange {background:orange};
.Normal {background:white};
Then the following is my onClick
onClick(widget,event)
{
widget.root.properties.DecimalActive = !widget.root.properties.DecimalActive;
widget.styles = widget.root.properties.DecimalActive ? ['Orange'] : ['White'];
}
The challenge was figuring out exactly what AppMaker wanted in the styles []. I don't think it puts applied styles in this array. At least they didn't show up when I console.log(JSON.stringify(widget.styles);
I have verified that this does work (Dec 2019)
I think this answer is clearer and if someone wants to bind it the color change they still can.
I can not use a Background Image because cannot fix the position of the start point.the placeholder text is centered.so it is not duplicated.
How to add an icon in the placeholder of an Entry beside using Grid or Layout. Just add it in the placeholder.
I want to make an Entry with placeholder containing an icon . Which is center in the Entry so that I can not use grid or layout to add a Image because this is not the best way.
I think I will have to make clicked event functions of the Image and the entry focus to hide the Image.
The expected result is like that:
Entry
The first way I can think of doing this:
If the icon you would like to use is a generic icon, FontAwesome is a fantastic fontkit that displays icons in the place of text. I have implemented it into Xamarin Forms many times. Here are some tutorials on how to do that:
https://www.wintellect.com/using-fontawesome5-xamarin-forms/
https://doumer.me/icons-with-font-awesome-5-xamarin-forms/
What you would do is set the FontFamily of the entry field to FontAwesome, and then add a textchanged event on text length > 0 change the fontfamily to your normal font, on text length = 0 (Place holder displayed) Change font family to FontAwesome.
The second way I can think of doing this:
Create a Xamarin Forms Custom Renderer for all of the platforms you are using. whereby you will on the native level alter how the Entry field functions to display an icon in its placeholder. To do this you will either need some native expierience on both platforms or some patience and learning about the native platforms.
