I would like to be able to create a navigation menu in WordPress in which the top-level nav items are not pages, but rather menu headings, which expand the sub menu when clicked.
The default WP menu behavior is that all menu items are links to content (pages, posts, etc), and that sub-items are viewed upon hover.
I'm looking for a way to make it work more like the menu behavior built into Twitter Bootstrap (and for the same usability reason).
I'm looking for a solution that either already exists as a plugin, or which I can build into a plugin, so that anyone can create a new menu like this in the WordPress menu editor.

If you dont want any custom html structure than you can simply add the classed to menu and for top level menu create a custom link with # as href.
When I go to the Buy page on my site where I installed WooCommerce I have no navigation menu. Please take a look at this page: http://www.studiobenna.com/jf/buy-2/
Instead, I navigate to an individual product page there is a navigation menu: http://www.studiobenna.com/jf/product/unbreakable-the-western-states-100/
The menu seems to be working on all the other pages that are related with WooCommerce.
What do I need to do to get the navigation menu back on the main product listing page?
I have a wordpress menu ,in that one item need to be inactive ,navigation to a particular page should not take place.A particular page has two sub items and navigation to the main menu item need to be inactive.I use wordpress 3.8.1 twenty fourteen theme ,and under menu I created a top level menu from pages ,One page is just for the menu purpose it has no content but has two submenu
create it as a custom link with your current text as link text and javascript:void(0); as url
I have a Wordpress theme which has been designed, however, the links are wrong at the top
For example:
About Us should go to here
Furniture should go to here
The link to the blog is here
I have already tried adjusting the position, and the width of each menu item, but to no avail.
In Wordpress Admin console there is the option Appearance>Menu. Create a new menu, add the items you want (you can add pages you made, create custom items with links to other pages, etc), save the menu. Now go to Appeareance>Themes>Customize current theme and change the navigation path.
I'm using the default Wordpress theme Twenty Eleven.
I was wondering if it's possible to add a menu in the sidebar, that leads to "hidden pages", pages that are not listed in the classic menu bar on top.
I want these menu voices to be on every page, in the default sidebar.
Any useful plugin that does this, or any other method? I wasn't lucky to find one until now.
Thank you!
create one custom menu for hidden pages
use this plugin Exclude pages from menu
and checked all hidden page, so, this will show only the pages which are checked..
