Can the voicemail message path be specified in voicemail.conf?
I tried and ended up in VM_MESSAGEFILE.
I want to know whether _XXXX can be used in voicemail.conf.
I need to store all of the registered sip users.
through static we can give one by one. what if i want to create 100 plus mailbox users?
You can use database-driven list of users.
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+voicemail+database
In database you can use view and/or function to create dummy list of users.

My apps using bonjour service to conversation with each other via local network.
I am facing a problem on Xcode12 with OS14 device.
A device publish a service with server type name depends on self device IP address
(example: 192.168.33.20 -> _1921683320._tcp)
B device searching a service with service type depends on A device IP address
(example: _1921683320._tcp)
According to apple document..From OS14~
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/multipeerconnectivity
Important
Apps that use the local network must provide a usage string in their Info.plist with the key NSLocalNetworkUsageDescription. Apps that use Bonjour must also declare the services they browse, using the NSBonjourServices key.
because my service type name is named by local network ip, it is changeable base on local network setting, so I am thinking about to using wildcard to define the service type name.
example: _*._tcp
but seems wildcard is not available on this definition.(I tried it)
I am also thinking about changing the naming method on A device
(example: 192.168.33.20 -> _20._tcp)
and add _1.tcp ~ _255.tcp to info-plist
But if I changed the naming method, B device could not find A device until version up.
Any idea for this problem? Please help.
I'm currently working through the same issue - Bonjour service name is dynamically created based off the iPad name to form a local mesh network. The conclusion that I have came to is com.apple.developer.networking.multicast is required for this to function without completely overhauling how all that logic is done. (More info here)
You will have to request permission from apple by filling out a form here. Let me know if this works for you!
The thing I am finding is, you "might" not be able to use a wildcard, but you can put multiple entries in the plist:
Item 0 _multicastapp0-p._tcp
Item 1 _multicastapp1-p._tcp
Item 2 _multicastapp2-p._tcp
Item 3 _multicastapp3-p._tcp
etc
Item N _multicastappN-p._tcp
So for some reason if you are trying to have multiple "Groups" of 8 or have a device have it's own "collection" i.e. be a server and have 3 devices connect to that, you can.
I haven't "fully" tested but I am going to be doing this in my apps, I did test using multiple keys tho, but not fully, no errors...
I am not using real-time asterisk , But still astdb.sqlite3 contains entries of online peers with Reg.Contact information in SIP/registry/peer. key . I would like to store contact information of all peers as they come online in a separate persistent database. I need this for sending push notifications by fetching deviceID etc information in registration contact .
I tried to pull this information from astdb.sqlite3 but the entries are clearing off as soon as devices go offline .Though I am able to fetch the information with "sip show peer XXXX" in asterisk CLI , It is overburdened to fetch every time like this . Instead I want to save only Regcontact information for all the devices in a database ( without realtime) as the devices come online. The other way I tried to pull the information is using AMI event listener. But with AMI I don't see complete information like contact information It displays only below information
Event: PeerStatus
Privilege: system,all
SequenceNumber: 75
File: manager.c
Line: 1856
Func: manager_default_msg_cb
ChannelType: SIP
Peer: SIP/2030
PeerStatus: Reachable
Can someone suggest a better way to push Only Regcontact information to a database as the devices come online .
There are no mechanism like that in asterisk.
You can use kamailio or write patch similar to this one https://reviewboard.asterisk.org/r/4490/
It sounds like you have dynamic IPs for your endpoints, and you want a way to update a separate DB as soon as a device registers with an IP/port pair.
If you enable the security log, you will see all auth events, including the "SuccessfulAuth" event, which includes the RemoteAddress of the endpoint (including port and protocol).
Here is an example line:
[Jul 21 19:53:45] SECURITY[1342] res_security_log.c: SecurityEvent="SuccessfulAuth",EventTV="2020-07-21T19:53:45.182+0000",Severity="Informational",Service="SIP",EventVersion="1",AccountID="102",SessionID="0x7f41040132c0",LocalAddress="IPV4/UDP/10.0.0.200/5060",RemoteAddress="IPV4/UDP/10.0.0.75/5062",UsingPassword="1"
If all you're looking for is AccountID="102" and RemoteAddress="IPV4/UDP/10.0.0.75/5062", a very fast/cheap way to get it is to enable the security log, and use a script to tail it and update your DB as soon as the event occurs. I like to keep the security log on anyways for utilities like fail2ban. Just make sure your script is able to reopen the file each time it is rotated.
Edit:
By default the log is in /var/log/asterisk. To enable it, edit /etc/asterisk/logger.conf and un-comment (or create) the line under [logfiles] that says security => security.

I tried to get user details from rest API and in that response, i say supportedServices and meetingTypes as below
<use:meetingTypes>
<use:meetingType>220</use:meetingType>
<use:meetingType>564</use:meetingType>
</use:meetingTypes>
<use:supportedServices>
<use:meetingCenter>true</use:meetingCenter>
<use:trainingCenter>true</use:trainingCenter>
<use:supportCenter>true</use:supportCenter>
<use:eventCenter>true</use:eventCenter>
<use:salesCenter>false</use:salesCenter>
</use:supportedServices>
what is a difference between these two on webex manages system
meetingTypes control access to specific meetingTypes. You may have multiple meeting types with different features enabled/disabled. For example, you may not want a certain user to have access to Network Based Recording, so you can explicitly enable or disable a custom session type for the user without NBR enabled.
supportedServices simply controls access to an entire service, such as Meeting Center. You can set any of these to 'false' to disallow a host access to a specific service.
My company uses BizTalk for our EDI and AS2 communications. One periodic issue is that a VAN or similar partner we transmit with will want to know whether we received a file by it's ISA #. We currently do use the ISA # for routing within our ports, but I can't seem to find anywhere that this information is stored in BizTalk. Is there a way to look up an EDI message that BizTalk recieved by ISA#? Or perhaps someway I could get a hold of it and store it on my own?
If you're not explicitly using Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) to track this, you may be able to use message tracking.
If you have:
message tracking turned on for the message properties at a point in processing the messages when the ISA number is used, and
if the ISA number is promoted in a published schema (which I'm guessing it is, if you're using the out-of-the-box EDI stuff)
...then you could use the admin console to look for tracked messages with that schema and based on the particular field in the schema (e.g., EDI.ISA08 or EDI.ISA06). Of course, if you are mapping the ISA# to a particular party through your BizTalk configuration, then you would just need to search for Tracked Message Events where the Party Name equals the name you configured for that ISA#.
There is also built-in EDI tracking (see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb226464(v=bts.10).aspx), with its own reports, but I'm not familiar with it enough to say whether or not it'll give you exactly what you need.
Otherwise, you will want to look at setting up BAM to save the ISA info that you need.
These fields are available inside the Biztalk message if you do EDI receive.
msgIn(EDI.ISASegment) contains all ISA segments. Then you can do substring on control numbers and then put it in your outgoing filename:
ctrlnum (variable) = msgIn(EDI.ISA13)
newfilename = FILE.ReceivedFileName + ctrlnum ;
This way each control number will show up in your filename and you don't even need to open the file or check tracked messages.
I am writing an web-application which needs to receive e-mail messages to users' internal email addresses, let administrators approve them, and then forward to corresponding user's external mailbox.
I have installed and configured postfix for message receiving task. It uses virtual e-mail addresses, and my existing database where user email addresses are stored. Local email storage is maildir and I use postfix's virtual MDA.
Basically, I would like to execute a script every time a new message is received, and for which user (maildir message id would be very helpful too). Then I could read the message from python code (python had a module for maildir messageboxes) and insert it in database.
I can think of three ways to do this:
iterate user maildirs and check
if there are any new messages, but it would be ineffective for large number of users.
use dbmail and then check if there are any new messages in database (this would be quicker, but I'd have to configure everything from scratch). Besides, existing user data tables cannot be used.
write a wrapper around maildrop/virtual to save message in db and in maildir as well, but I'd need a way to check if received message is valid and successfully saved by the real MDA.
Any suggestions appreciated!
In the /etc/aliases file you can specifiy a program which gets executed everytime a user recieves a mail. This program gets the mail on stdin. So you dont have to poll and your program gets run instantly.
In response to my own question, I used postfix content_filter with X flag set in pipe and process receiving address and message manually. Since I didn't need to access messages in maildir, this approach works fine for me.
