I need to create a new export action for the page app in magnolia cms that would always export selected page elements to a YAML file.
I would like to override the class definition and the dialog definition for the existing export action since I do not need a dialog that lets me select YAML or XML. It will always be YAML in my case.
I setup a new Maven module and created a new action for the Page app.
How do I configure a custom class for this action? How do I get the current context of the page in my class?
You have to remove the dialog attached to the action first. If you plan to have a custom action then simply do not configure one. We already have two actions for those two cases. If you are interested in YAML export use the following: info.magnolia.ui.framework.action.ExportYamlAction
My action configuration for exportYAML2
My actionbar configuration for exportYAML
* repeating the content of the comment below since I could not post pictures in the comment *
I configured two actions for exporting the YAML configuration of the node.
The second one (exportYAML2) using ExportYamlActionDefinition does not show up in the actionbar for the page even though I added it as an item.
Is there anything else I need to configure for it?
exportYaml with class info.magnolia.ui.framework.action.OpenExportDialogActionDefinition works. exportYaml2 with class info.magnolia.ui.framework.action.ExportYamlActionDefinition doesn't work. Availability for it is set to info.magnolia.ui.framework.availability.IsNotDeletedRule.
It is solved.
There are two things I needed to configure for a custom action in the pages app in magnolia.
configuration app modules>pages>apps>pages>subApps>browser>actions>MyAction withe class={custom or common class from https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS61/Action+definition }
modules>pages>apps>pages>subApps>browser>actionbar>sections>pageActions>groups>uniquegroupname>items-MyAction
Is it possible to get Title of a page from the url or route name.
I have a router name for example: view.topics_landing_page.page
Or the same page has a path: /topics
By using either path or Route name, I wants to get the title Eg:- Topics.
Is it possible?
Thanks in Advance.
The only way to get the page title of any URL/route would be to actually request the page and see what the title is. The reason is that any module or the theme could alter the title from what it normally would be, like fx metatags module.
To get the title of the current page you could do this:
use \Symfony\Cmf\Component\Routing\RouteObjectInterface;
$request = \Drupal::request();
if ($route = $request->attributes->get(RouteObjectInterface::ROUTE_OBJECT)) {
$title = \Drupal::service('title_resolver')->getTitle($request, $route);
}
But another thing you could do is override the breadcrumb.html.twig template. This will render the template wherever you place the Breadcrumb block.
Drupal 8 has core functionality for page title.
In block structure you can see "Page Title" [Link : your-domain/admin/structure/block]
You can use this one on any region you want to show title of current page.
Clear you cache after set this block on region..!!
Refering to the SoanataORMAdmin's documentation, it is possible to change the default route of object links.
By default, it's the edit route. I don't want it at all and need to change it to show without override all my admin class.
What is the better way to override the default route ?
Thanks.
The best way is to override the twig by extending SonataORMAdminBundle.
To do this, you need to :
install SonataEasyGenerate Bundle
use the command php app/console sonata:easy-extends:generate SonataORMAdminBundle
this will generate a new repository Application/Sonata/DoctrineORMAdminBundle
Then you need to go to Application/Sonata/DoctrineORMAdminBundle/Ressources/views/CRUD and paste the twigs from the vendors (vendor/Sonata/DoctrineORMAdminBundle/Ressources/views/CRUD)
Finally, change the links in the twigs.
For example, if you want to call the list view to call the show route for a many to one relation :
edit list_orm_many_to_one.html.twig to call generateObjectUrl('show',...) instead of generateObjectUrl('edit',...)
Hope this will help.
If I have a page named 'events' (of which the specialized template will be named 'page-events.php'), is there any way to have a specialized template of a subpage 'events/event-sub-page'?
I can't seem to find how to do it in the documentation here: codex.wordpress.org/Page_Templates.
You would just create a new template called events-subpage.php and build it accordingly. Then when making your page in wordpress, select the template events-subpage.
You can just create the "event-sub-page" page in WordPress, set its parent to the "events" page, and make your custom template file "page-event-sub-page.php" (no need to specify the "events" part in the actual php filename)
Or in my case I wanted "../login" for a specialized login form and "../login/recovery" for password recovery. The template page is simply "page-recovery.php"
I have several custom content types and in one specific one I need to offer two fields, one for the href for a link, and one for the text of a link this way I can build and style it with minimal user involvement of the HTML/CSS. I also have a custom node.tpl for this content type. My problem is that drupal throws divs around each field I create that aren't in my template file for this content type (node-custom.tpl) and I can't put the href for a link with divs around it inside google.co.uk</div>"> See my problem. Maybe I'm doing this all wrong so any other ideas are welcome.
Please note I'm trying to create this site with minimum involvement of HTML/CSS access for the user. I'm aware I could hand code the link in the field.
The easiest way to do this would be to use a preprocess function in your template.php file and build the link up manually:
function mytheme_preprocess_node(&$vars) {
$node = $vars['node'];
if ($node->type = 'my_type') {
$uri = $node->field_name_of_link_field[LANGUAGE_NONE][0]['value'];
$text = $node->field_name_of_display_text_field[LANGUAGE_NONE][0]['value'];
$vars['my_link'] = l($text, $uri); // Using Drupal's l() function to render a link
}
}
Then in your node template file you'll have access to the variable $my_link which you can output anywhere, and will contain the correct HTML for the link. Finally, go to the "Manage Display" page for your content type and set the display of the two fields you no longer need to output to 'Hidden'.
There are other ways so if that's no good let me know
EDIT
Just to add, I think the easiest way to do this would actually be to install the Link module and use the provided field type instead of the two other fields you're currently using.
