My application gets users' information from LinkedIn and I could not find a way to get someone's gender from LinkedIn.
Is it possible?
Does LinkedIn even have a gender field?
Nope. Check this; https://developer.linkedin.com/forum/javascript-api-gender-information-authenticated-user
You can add your own gender by clicking Me > Settings & Privacy > Personal demographic information.
Linkedin calls this Self-ID Information.

We can create a post with a message prefilled from the URL using the below way
https://www.linkedin.com/feed/?shareActive=true&text=Hii%20Hii%20#lavanya
but when we mention a person in the text, it won't auto-detect, again we need to click on that and select the person from the given list of people.
Is there any way to auto-detect the person that we trying to tag
Is there a possibility to get a person's info (name, current job, title, etc.) from the LinkedIn API?
I found a search endpoint(https://developer.linkedin.com/docs/guide/v2/people/profile-api#public-profile-url), but it only allows to search by person id, which I have no clue how to get)
https://api.linkedin.com/v2/people/(id:{person ID})
I have for a link, for example: https://www.linkedin.com/in/anton-holovko-7a070476/
How to get person id according to that link (using the LinkedIn API)?
well i couldnt find the endpoint but i can tell you that all V2 api's of linkedin require you to be a partner with linkedin. so that means you have to accuire a partnership and you have to specify which api's you are gonna use to get access.
https://developer.linkedin.com/partner-programs
and normally you get an ID from people that like/comment on a certain post. so if you get posts via the API you also recieve an ID of a person.
when somebody register on my website, Google Analytics genrate a new USER ID form him. How can I label/track generated USER_IDs which came from certain campaign (i.e. form certain custom URL with utm parameters)?
Thx for help.
In the first step you should push the UID (or CID) as a Dimension into your GA Account. So you are able to export the UID/CID through the API (or CSV). Here is a article how to do this: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/tag-manager/lcTvzfvcTvU;context-place=topicsearchin/tag-manager/category$3Aadvanced-setup--implementation%7Csort:relevance%7Cspell:false
If you have the ID as a Dimension you can build a Segment containing your Campaign. In your reports you now see the IDs.
Another solution would be to fire the dimension with the IDs just if a User is on a page containing the specific parameters.
Most of my website traffic come from adwords, and fill a form to get called.
When A user fill a form, I have a customer created on my database.
For my business strategy, I want to know how much I payed for that lead, and how much benefit I make with it after the call.
For that I think I have to link analytics visitors and my customers directly.
I am searching for a way to put an analytics visitor ID on the request form or something like this...
You would need to get the visitor id and pass it into either a custom variable (ga.js) or custom dimension (analytics.js).
To get the visitor id for Google Analytics (ga.js) *I got this code from How to obtain Google Analytics visitor unique id? SO Answer:
_gaq.push(function(){
var tracker = _gat._getTrackers()[0];
var visit_code = tracker._visitCode();
console.log(visit_code);
});
To get the visitor id for Universal Analytics (analytics.js) *More documentation on this in Google's documentation:
ga(function(tracker) {
var clientId = tracker.get('clientId');
});
I've used this before, too:
ga.getAll()[0].get('clientId');
The best strategy in your case is:
Get user ID from GA or UA(as desribed advisor above)
Send user ID to database
Set up user ID as custom variable(in Googl Analytics) or custom dimension(in Universal Analytics)
Set up custom reports, where you can segment your visitors by their ID's
I want to get the date of birth of connections using LinkedIn api.I got some informations using
http://api.linkedin.com/v1/people/~/connections:(headline,first-name,last-name,location)
If i am trying to add dateOfBirth or date-of-birth parameter to this api but it is not working. Can anyone please help me to get the date of birth of all connections?
headline,first-name,last-name,location are comes under basic profile but date-of-birth comes under full profile. So you have add the permission(r_fullprofile) for this one. Try Like this
NSArray *grantedAccess = #[#"r_basicprofile ",#"r_fullprofile", #"r_network"];
According to this document, you will need to apply to be able to retrieve the full profile information, like date of birth:
