How to debug into AutoMapper code? - asp.net

I am using AutoMapper to map my business objects to my view model and there is a custom type I wrote that is not mapping correctly resulting in an exception. I am trying to figure out how to setup my system so that I can debug into AutoMapper.DLL. Does anyone know how to do this without downloading the source and building the source first?
If anyone has a link to instructions for doing this or knows how to set this up, I would greatly appreciate it.

AutoMapper has SourceLink enabled and a symbols package on NuGet (the same is true for the MyGet build). So debugging into AM works without building from source. You cannot debug into the mapping code per se, but check the execution plan.

Error while issuing a state in Postgres Corda 4.6 OS

Following are the error I got when trying to initiate a state in Corda 4.6OS using Postgres:
"net.corda.core.CordaRuntimeException: com.esotericsoftware.kryo.KryoException: java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: net.corda.nodeapi.internal.persistence.CordaPersistence, which is a closeable resource, has been detected during flow checkpointing. Restoring such resources across node restarts is not supported. Make sure code accessing it is confined to a private method or the reference is nulled out."
unfortunately with just this information it's hard to know what exactly happened.
Here's some examples of what could be happening.
look carefully through the stacktrace, if you're getting an unsupported runtime exception or other exceptions from code that's not in your control look around and make sure you're using packages / resources that line up with the cordapp template.
For example I had something like this for a couple hours because I was using the wrong junit package in my imports and the tests weren't initializing properly so you can get errors like this one and it won't be obvious at all why unfortunately.
Here's a link to the cordapp template, try to carefully check your flow / state to make sure all the imports are reasonable and you're using the right packages / gradle dependencies.

ERRORS while building asterisk using meta-telephony layer

I am trying to build asterisk , I am using meta-telephony layer provided from oe-layers.
I have faced few issued while building the application "asterisk" for raspberry pi 3 b.
Initially I have build core-image-minimal for Rpi and it worked successfully.
Tried to build few applications like lighttpd, SQLite3 and they worked successfully.
Now i am trying to build an application called "asterisk" whose recipe is in meta-telephony -> recipe-asterisk-asterisk-asterisk_13.5.0.bb , but I have encountered few errors.
Need guidance for below Error i have faced

Thanks in advance

As far as I see, the last commit on meta-telephony was from 2017. This is long before the Yocto release Dunfell you would like to use.
Mixing meta-layers in different Yocto releases isn't something you do to have fun.
Or you try to find out what release they where using, and go back to these old days. Or you pick up the work and try to maintain a more up to date meta layer.
And to start it, I thing the pythonnative.bbclass is now python3native.bbclass. Note in Dunfell the Python2 support stopped (as in almost all distro?).
BTW: the version in the meta layer is also quite old (13.5.0). Latest version seems to be 17.5.1.

Alfresco Kikstart People selection

I am new at Alfresco development.
I am using alfresco-enterprise-4.2.3.1 and using Kikstart to design a workflow.
Workflow designed and installed successfully in alfresco and I can access that in share.
The issue is when I try to use a People Selection or Group Selection in the forms I get following error when I try to save/start workflow.
Failed to start workflow activiti$esclatedWF:1:1519
I have checked if I remove these type of fields it works ok. Any help will appreciated.

How to use Migration Commands for Entity Framework through User Defined Code

I need to be able to perform all of the available functions that the Package Manager Console performs for code first DB migrations. Does anyone know how I could accomplish these commands strictly through user defined code? I am trying to automate this whole migration process and my team has hit the dreaded issue of getting the migrations out of sync due to the number of developers on this project. I want to write a project that the developer can interact with that will create and if need be rescaffold their migrations for them automatically.
PM is invoking through PowerShell and PS cmdlets (like for active directory etc.)
http://docs.nuget.org/docs/reference/package-manager-console-powershell-reference
The Package Manager Console is a PowerShell console within Visual
Studio
...there is essentially very little info about this - I've tried that before on couple occasions and it gets down to doing some 'dirty work' if you really need it (not really sure, it might not be that difficult - providing you have some PS experience)
Here are similar questions / answers - working out the PS comdlets is pretty involving - in this case it has some additional steps involved. And PS tends to get very version dependent - so you need to check this for the specific EF/CF you're using.
Run entityframework cmdlets from my code
Possible to add migration using EF DbMigrator
And you may want to look at the source code for EF that does Add-Migration
(correction: this is the link to official repository - thanks to #Brice for that)
http://entityframework.codeplex.com/SourceControl/changeset/view/f986cb32d0a3#src/EntityFramework.PowerShell/Migrations/AddMigrationCommand.cs
http://entityframework.codeplex.com/SourceControl/BrowseLatest
(PM errors also suggest the origins of the code doing the Add-Migrations to be the 'System.Data.Entity.Migrations.Design.ToolingFacade')
If you need 'just' an Update - you could try using the DbMigrator.Update (this guy gave it a try http://joshmouch.wordpress.com/2012/04/22/entity-framework-code-first-migrations-executing-migrations-using-code-not-powershell-commands/) - but I'm not sure how relevant is that to you, I doubt it.
The scaffolding is the real problem (Add-Migration) which to my knowledge isn't accessible from C# directly via EF/CF framework.
Note: - based on the code in (http://entityframework.codeplex.com/SourceControl/changeset/view/f986cb32d0a3#src/EntityFramework.PowerShell/Migrations/AddMigrationCommand.cs) - and as the EF guru mentioned himself - that part of the code is calling into the System.Data.Entity.Migrations.Design library - which does most of the stuff. If it's possible to reference that one and actually repeat what AddMigrationCommand is doing - then there might not be a need for PowerShell at all. But I'm suspecting it's not that straight-forward, with possible 'internal' calls invisible to outside callers etc.
At least as of this post, you can directly access the System.Data.Entity.Migrations.Design.MigrationScaffolder class and directly call the Scaffold() methods on it, which will return you an object that contains the contents of the "regular" .cs file, the "Designer.cs" file and the .resx file.
What you do with those files is up to you!
Personally, I'm attempting to turn this into a tool that will be able to create EF6 migrations on a new ASPNET5/DNX project, which is not supported by the powershell commands.

Using nAnt to build projects containing EDMX

I've been working on training myself in the ways of using nAnt over the past few days, and have stumbled across an issue. During the development process, I've been using the new tools, like Entity Data Model, for database access.
When you go to try to build a library/executable that contains the Edmx product, you cannot embed the required files from visual studio. Now, I realize that I can do an exec task inside of nAnt and call msbuild for the particular project file, but I am trying to keep this to be completely nAnt build for now, so I'm in a heavy struggle to get things to work.
I did some searching to find a way ot handle this, and came across this Inline C# class that is supposed to do the trick. My problem is that I do not see how you call this in the target stack in order to get it to do its job. Can anyone shed some light on this? It would be of some great help.
Ok... so I'm a bit further along with this. I have since found that the code the gentleman has posted needs to be under the task for which it is meant to be run for. I'm even getting the *.ssdl, *.csdl, and *.msl files rendering into the directory... cool beans.
nwo i'm getting something interesting coming through... I've got reference via a "references" tag to System.Data.Entity, but I keep getting the following compile error:
error CS0234: The type or namespace name 'Objects' does not exist in the namespace 'System.Data' (are you missing an assembly reference?)
Any suggestions?
OK!!!
Got it! I had to edit the NAnt.exe.config file and add the System.Data.Entity.dll file into the Framework element for the .net framework 3.5!!!
I may wind up building a 3.5 SP1 entry, and if someone can give me a good area to post it, I'd be good to go.
