I've used hours to find out how to upload external pdf (or any other files) from url to server (for example to public folder like /public/uploads). I found tons of examples how to upload it from form, but not from the external url.
Lets say that I have this url https://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/tests/xhtml/testfiles/resources/pdf/dummy.pdf
and I like to upload it to /public/uploads
Is there any directions or examples available?

I am trying to access pdf using public url uploaded on cloudinary however url request has been successfully completed but nothing showed.
Permission : Blocked for delivery shows in properties of pdf on cloudinary
Based on a recent update to our security policies, we've restricted delivery on newly created Free accounts for PDFs and Archive files. Such files can still be uploaded, but the restriction is specifically on delivery.
For PDFs that are uploaded with resource_type - "image", as they support transformations, they can be converted to images and will be delivered - e.g. by using the page transformation (pg_ in URLs) and setting the extension to jpg. -
in javascript we just need to replace extension to .jpg
response?.data?.url.replace(".pdf", ".jpg")

If you are on a free plan and need to deliver files in these formats, you can navigate to the Security tab of Settings in the Management Console and select to 'Allow delivery of PDF and ZIP files' or find it at the bottom.
I am trying to upload the html file and aspx file in teams. once it is loaded then get the copy of files address
and i am going to load that copied path url in browser but it is not showing web content which i design like web page.
in browser (html/aspx) files are downloading. If i am trying to load apsx file in browser it was showing like error(Something went wrong File Not Found),
so want i like is that is there any feature to load in browser?
Thanks for your detailed explanation.
First of all, Teams does not host any html or aspx file itself. So you can not upload a file and use the URL to render web page in browser. The file URL is a link to that uploaded file location. That's the reason the file is getting downloaded in browser.
Secondly, it is other way round. You can run your website in any other server and use that URL to configure a tab in MS Teams.

How do tabs work?
I am currently using webflow to design a site and want to add custom code that requires an upload of an ajax data txt file. I'd like to externally link the file, I'd normally upload to a personal hosting account, but I don't have one at the moment. So I am looking for a place to upload the txt file to and when you open it opens something like this jQuery CDN
IS there such a facility available? I don't need the file to be there long, just for a few hours for testing.
I am working on a download management system in asp.net and I can upload and download a docx file. I want to view the uploaded file. I tried using google API but looks like I have to upload the file in google drive itself in order to be able to view it from google drive. I don't want to upload the file in google drive. Is there any other API that helps me to just view the uploaded docx file?
It would be even better if it can be viewed as well!
Use an iframe to embed File.embedLink, documented on
https://developers.google.com/drive/v2/reference/files#resource
I assume you know how to upload files in ASP.net
Using Office Web Apps you can achieve that, provide like of your uploaded document on your site, when the user clicks it will open in the browser it self Link, Read the documentation
Here is the link for API Site
I am trying to hook into the Wordpress file uploader and would like some suggestions. I would like to be able to grab the path of the source file (not WP path; i.e. K:\docs\file.pdf) so I can download another file of the same name (different extension) & path automatically (i.e. K:\docs\file.txt).
Wordpress provides hooks for after the file is uploaded but all path information at that point is internal to wordpress.
Thanks in advance!!
the path information can be obtained from normal php functions like pathinfo() and realpath() for example .
Bit too late to the party but I think what you are asking for is to find the source of the document in the clients system and based on that you want similar files there to be picked up by the browser and then sent to the user.
I think it will be a fairly complex thing to do, firstly you have to get the source of the document being added to the browser (I am not sure it can be done, but if it can be done then it will be via javascript) and then upload all the files one by one to the server hosting wordpress and you can do this by creating a custom page which will add the files uploaded to it as a wordpress attachment and then using something like jquery file uploader to upload files to that location.
But honestly, I think it would be a very complex thing, unless the client and the server are on the same machine.
