I recently submitted an Envato theme to Wordpress for a website.
Now when I click on the hyperlinks, I am always directed to the homepage.
I want each tab on the navbar to have a distinct content. How can I add different content and hyperlink to each tab on the navbar?
I usually do it this way:
Create all the necessary pages of the website and put contents on each page
Proceed on menu arrangement
To answer your question, maybe you missed checking and editing the Dashboard > Appearance > Menu?

please provide the steps to add an article using Elementor widgets.
Installed the elementor plugin
I see the elementor menu item
I am logged in as admin
I added a page and then clicked edit with elementor
I need to post an article
Just take for example the header block from the left side and drag and drop it onto your page. The headline now appears and can be edited there.
You can do the same with texts and other premade elements.
I'm a beginner in WP theme development, and I'm having an issue with my menu.
My menu contains 4 items, 3 of them leads to differents sections in my frontpage and the last one leads to page that I have created.
I have Added id="section_name" to every section of my frontpage and on Menu section on dashboard of every item, I referenced to this section by putting the value of id of every section in the link.
Now the issue is when I'm not on the frontpage And I clicked on one of the 3 items of my menu the section doesn't show up , on the frontpage it works fine
Does anyone know how to use jump links in wordpress ?
Thank u all
You could use full URLs.
This is the menu link now:
#section_name
And you could try this:
http://yoursite.com#section_name
I hope it helps you out.
But this is not really a Wordpress question - you only encountered this case on the Wordpress admin.
I know there are ways to URL-redirect a Wordpress page to another page via PHP and that you can use HTML to link to a section of a page...but how can I redirect to a section page?
For example, on my home page I have different sections, services and projects. In the main navigation I have a services link. How can I make that open the homepage but just on the homepage.
Ok so just tested this on my local wp install.
On the page you want to load part way down add the anchor you require eg:
<a id="Services"></a>
Then in wordpress > appearance > menus, select your menu. Then on the left hand side, click on 'Links'
Add the full URL of your page eg:
http://mywebsite.com/home/
Add to this the '#Services' tag to make it look like:
http://mywebsite.com/home/#Services
Then add it to your menu and save.
You should then be able to click on that button on your menu and the page will drop to the anchor tag when clicked. If you're having trouble with the poundsign/hashtag (#) then you might want to check for conflicting issues in plugins / your functions file - and even wordpress.org uses them on their own site.
I'm working on a theme for WordPress and I'd like to add a link in the left navigation that points to the "customize" feature that is built into WordPress.
The only way I know of in WordPress to get to that panel is to go to Appearance > Themes and then click the "Customize" text link next to the theme screenshot. That seems really hidden for an average user.
I'd like to put a text link under "Appearance" that points to that panel. The link that WordPress uses to get there is:
mydomain.com/wp-admin/customize.php
This needs to be in the theme's files, not hacking the WordPress core.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Sorry to state the obvious but the only way you can do this would be to modify the core.
Or possibly add it as a shortcut link in the top black nav bar / dashboard area
I've modified the admin before and it's not unheard of to do it.
I'm using the default Wordpress theme Twenty Eleven.
I was wondering if it's possible to add a menu in the sidebar, that leads to "hidden pages", pages that are not listed in the classic menu bar on top.
I want these menu voices to be on every page, in the default sidebar.
Any useful plugin that does this, or any other method? I wasn't lucky to find one until now.
Thank you!
create one custom menu for hidden pages
use this plugin Exclude pages from menu
and checked all hidden page, so, this will show only the pages which are checked..
this question belong on https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/
There is a default widget -called custom menu- in which you can select a menu to display.
Do remember to make a sperate menu
