Can't install windows authentication on windows 11 - asp.net

I've installed and configured windows authentication on iis and windows before (local dev machine), using steps like this: iis windows authentication is missing at windows 10 (ASP.NET Visual Studio 2015)
installed iis additional features using dism command line utility
selected Windows authentication on "Add or remove windows features" (free translation from portuguese)
configured It on iis
But now I'm trying to do It on windows 11, and It seems the first step is not working. I've already installed some of the packages available in c:\windows\servicing\packages, but none of them makes the windows authentication option to appear in "Turn Windows features...".
Has anyone configured windows authentication on windows 11?

Register asp.net in IIS 10

I have one issue which is related with registering asp.net in IIS 10.
My environment is Windows 10, IIS 10, VS 2013 and VS 2015 installed, .NET 3.5 is a feature in Windows Features.
I want to use nettcpbinding in iis, so, I installed WCF HTTP activation and WCF Non-HTTP Activation. After it, I will need to re-register asp.net in IIS. I run below command
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319>aspnet_regiis -i
And I got below result, is asp.net registered correctly in IIS?
Any help would be appreciated.

utility to install and uninstall ASP.NET on the local machine.

installing ASP.NET (4.0.30319.0). This option is not supported on this
version of the operating system. Administrators should instead
install/uninstall ASP.NET 4.5 with IIS8 using the "Turn Windows
Features On/Off" dialog, the Server Manager management tool, or the
dism.exe command line tool. For more details please see

For this issue, I resolved by below command to install asp.net in IIS.

IIS Manager for Remote Administration 1.2 Won't Install

I have Windows 7 Professional on a 64bit computer. I want to install IIS Manager for Remote Administration 1.2 to manage IIS on a Windows Server 2012R2 computer.
I downloaded: inetmgr_x86_en-US.msi from the Microsoft website. It was the only file for x86. When I try to install the application I get the following error message:
The 32-bit version of Internet Information Services (IIS) 7+ Manager
cannot be installed on a 64-bit edition of Microsoft Windows.
I currently have IIS Manager 6.1 installed. I can't find a separate 64-bit version of IIS 7+ Manager.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get IIS 7+ manager installed?
Use inetmgr_amd64_en-US.msi. amd64 means exactly the same as x64, per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X86-64.
Download from the same location as the x32 version, https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41177.

I tried running aspnet_regiis.exe -ir in an admin cmd but no luck.
Any ideas?

whats all this scary talk about install/uninstall ASP.NET 4.5..
The solution for me on Windows Server 2012 was to:
In IIS, Open Modules, Remove the ServiceModel module.
In IIS, Open Handlers, Remove the svc-Integrated handler.
Restart IIS

The situation that caused this was the fact that I enabled WCF services after I had already set up IIS and .NET 4.5. This caused all of my apps on the server to fail.
After I completed the above steps to get everything except WCF back up and running, I still needed WCF to work. To accomplish that, I then went into "Turn Windows Features On and Off" and enabled .NET Framework 4.5 Features -> WCF Services -> HTTP Activation
aspnet_regiis is deprecated in IIS8. When we install IIS (ASP .NET 4.5 and other components) automatically asp .net gets registered. We don't need to manually register it.
Can you briefly specify the problem you are facing?
Run the following command from an administrative command prompt: dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:IIS-ASPNET45
For Windows 8 client computers, turn on "IIS-ASPNET45" in "Turn Windows Features On/Off" under "Internet Information Services-> World Wide Web Services -> Application Development Features -> ASP.NET 4.5".

I was facing the same issue as described above. It didn't work even after running following command
dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:IIS-ASPNET45
The solution for me was to install patch to VS 2010 SP1.
Just to give the background I have Windows 10 and VS 2010 SP1 and was facing issue when running a ASP.Net 4.6 site.

Vista Home Premium IIS 7.0 and asp.net

New laptop, new operating system. Windows Vista premium.
I've installed Visual Studio and IIS 7.0.
I open my web project in visual studio and vist the properties view for the web app.
The webDev server is currently selected.
I select IIS instead and I get the warning IIS telling me I need to install IIS 6.0 configuration compatability/meta base and windows authentication
All those are installed apart from windows authentication (which I am told is not supported for Vista Home Premium).
Is it possible to configure my web apps to run on IIS (I will also need debugging capability)
You need to turn on Windows Features on for IIS 6.0 configuration
Just go Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features On or Off.
In opened window choose which configuration is you want to configure your web application

Missing windows authentication IIS component because of Windows Vista Home Premium edition... any fixes out there?

Apparently Windows Vista Home Basic and Premium both do not ship with integrated windows authentication for IIS (You need Business edition)... so does anyone know how to get windows authentication installed for IIS?
I went into Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features on or off. Then in the Windows Features popup I navigated to... Internet Information Serivces > World Wide Web Services > Security > ???
Under security the only options that were there are:
Basic Authentication
IP Security
Request Filtering
URL Authorization
I found this fix but it gave me this error message:
The upgrade Patch cannot be installed by Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch.
So that makes me think it's because the fix is for Visual Studio 2005, and I'm using Visual Studio 2008. Anyone know a fix that applies to Visual Studio 2008?
I don't think you can get it to work in Vista Home Premium because the Home editions do not support domain authentication; only workgroup authentication. You have to get one of the Business editions or Ultimate.
