I am trying to open a jar file through Marathon GUI, did all the steps based on userguide, and when i test the connection, I get the following exception.
I have connected to the jar file in command line launcher mode.

P.S :But i have also tried to open the same jar file, with Java Driver (LaunchType.FX_APPLICATION and LaunchMode.EXECUTABLE_JAR) , and it works fine.
I wanted to try record and play through Marathon GUI( Free version). I opened it in command line launcher as launching as jar is not supported.

I am using corda opensource 3.2 in azure marketplace by following the link : https://docs.corda.net/head/testnet-explorer-corda.html. and I am able to connect to the corda testnet via node explorer and do transactions(using corda-finance jar as in documentation). But I tried copying cordapp-example jar to the /opt/corda/cordapps/ folder in the azure machine and unable to connect to the corda testnet (error is something related to the finance cordapp). So , is it not possible to connect to the corda testnet by using our customized cordapp or Am I missing any steps that need to be followed?

You are receiving this error because you no longer have the corda-finance CorDapp installed on your node.
Simply keep the corda-finance CorDapp in your node's cordapps folder when adding the cordapp-example CorDapp. A node can run multiple CorDapps at once.
i wrote a simple code trying to fill automatically a GridPane with images and if a column contains an image it will be deleted so it can be replaced with another one , but i'm getting an InvocationTargetException :

If you run your program for the first time there mind be no nodes at point i you need to check grid first
if(grid.getChildren().size() < i && grid.getChildren().get(i) != null)
grid.getChildren().remove(i);
or if you certain that node exist you mind use
grid.getChildren().remove(grid.getChildren().get(i));
or if you have reference of the node use this instead
grid.getChildren().remove(node);
further more if you have specific value of node you can use
grid.getChildren().removeIf( node -> return node.something == ... )

Well, after 10 minutes I added this erorr It started to seem to be realy stupid question, and I don't really know what i'm hoping for...

I have a comboBox object defined as follows:
ObservableList<String> workflowsComboList = FXCollections.observableArrayList();
ComboBox<String> comboBoxWorkflows = new ComboBox<String>(workflowsComboList);
The workflowsComboList list is populated with certain options depending on user's input. Then, when user inputs changes, I need to reset the list and add new options to the combobox. In order to do that I run:
workflowsComboList.clear();
At this point, if there is no value selected in the combobox, .clear() works fine. However, if there is a value selected, it throws a null pointer exception.
I assume the error is caused because I'm deleting the selected element in the combobox, so I have attempted to un-select the selected item before clearing the list, but none of the methods I've tried seem to work, including:
comboBoxWorkflows.setValue(null);
comboBoxWorkflows.getSelectionModel().clearSelection();
comboBoxWorkflows.valueProperty().set(null);
Am I mistaken in assuming this is the cause of the exception? Or, if I'm right, what's the right way to unselect an element in a combobox?

I assume the error is caused because I'm deleting the selected element in the ComboBox.
You may need to re-examine this assumption. Starting from this example, I added the following buttons to clear and restore the ObservableList model. As no error occurs, irrespective of the selection, you'll need to look elsewhere for the cause of the exception.

If you bind the ComboBox Selection to another variable, make sure that you handle a Null value.
I think you may need to remove observable list from your comboBox

I have an editor in FXML and a controller which sets the domain object upon selection in a treeview. So every time a new object is selected in the treeview, the controller unbinds all controls in the editor from the previous object and binds to the properties of the new domain object. That includes setting values from the domain object in a ComboBox using setItems. The trouble is that setItems triggers the onAction event handler of the ComboBox for every item in the item list. To my understanding onAction should define the code triggered when the user selects an entry from the ComboBox and not when the ComboBox is loaded?!
I could fix this issue with either using something like a mouse release event or a boolean semaphore that disables the actionevent during setItems. However, since I couldn't find somebody else asking for this, I wonder whether something is wrong in more general and I better ask the community.

From the Javadoc of onAction
The ComboBox action, which is invoked whenever the ComboBox value property is changed. This may be due to the value property being programmatically changed [or ...]
Replacing the items leads to the value being set to null which may lead to onAction being triggered.
You could simply remove the onAction event handler when you replace the items to prevent it from being triggered or use one of your approach with the boolean.
