telegram use schedule message - telegram

I want to schedule a telegram bot message to be sent at a specific unixtime.
As from telegrams official api (https://core.telegram.org/api/scheduled-messages) that should be possible by setting the schedule_date flag.
To schedule a message, simply provide a future unixtime in the schedule_date flag of messages.sendMessage or messages.sendMedia.
However I was not able to set that flag. To be more precisely, I do not even know how to set a flag, or if I am using the correct api.
What I have tried is to use the api directly via the browser (could use curl as well) like so: https://api.telegram.org/botBOT:TOKEN/sendMessage?chat_id=ID&text=Test&schedule_date=1653503351
I also did not find any way to access this flag via https://pypi.org/project/pyTelegramBotAPI/#description https://telepot.readthedocs.io/en/latest/#send-a-message, nor https://github.com/nickoala/telepot.
I want to implement this feature in a python environment, but any working suggestion would be much appreciated.
EDIT:
I decided to save the intention to send a telegram bot message at a certain unixtime in a database. I then create an infinite loop that checks if there are any unsent messages before the current timestamp. If the loop detects such a message it sends the message and sets a flag, that that message has been sent.
And as promised, here is a fully dockerized example of that behaviour in action: https://github.com/Sokrates1989/nameTheCountDown-lightweight
It creates a bot that you can pass a name and the duration. Once the duration has passed it sends a message with the passed name. Basically a simple countdown that you can give several names, that run simltaniously. As it is a telegram chat, you can modify the way you are informed about the end of a countdown by modifying the notificaiton of that chat.
And here is the Bot in action: http://t.me/NameTheCountdownBot

We can't do this by bot API itself, and there's no schedule_date parameter in sendMessage method:
https://core.telegram.org/bots/api#sendmessage
And what you've read is for Telegram clients, not bot API consumers.
If you don't really need unixtime, you can simply create a table for scheduled messages with a text, chat_id and a publish_time column (like 22:15), and run a command every minute to look if there's a message for current time to send. Then send the message and delete the record.

Note that the python-telegram-bot library has a built-in solution for scheduling tasks: The JobQueue. This feature is based on the APScheduler library, which you can ofc also use without python-telegram-bot.
Disclaimer: I'm currently the maintainer of python-telegram-bot.

https://core.telegram.org/method/messages.sendScheduledMessages
Now you can send scheduled messages right away

How to setup web hooks to send message to Slack when Firebase functions crash?

I need to actively receive crash notifications for firebase functions.
Is there any way to set up Slack webhooks to receive a message when Firebase Functions throw an Error, functions crash, or something like that?
I would love to receive issue messages by velocity ie: Firebase Functions crash 50 times a day.
Thank you so much.
First you have to create a log based (counter) metric that will be counting specific error occurencies and second - you create alerting policy with Slack notification channel.
Let's start from finding corresponding logs that appear when the function throws an error. Since I didn't have one that would crash I used logs that indicated that it was started.
Next you have to create a log based metric. Ignore the next screen and go to Monitoring > Alerting. Click on "Create new policy", find your metric and select "Rolling Window" to whatever time period you need. For testing I used 1 minute. Then set "Rollind windows function" to "mean".
Now configure when the alert has to be triggered - I chose over 3 (within 1 minute window).
On the next screen you select notification channel. In case of Slack it has to be configured first in "Notification Channels".
You can save policy the policy now.
After a few minutes I gathered enough data to generate two incidents:
And here's some alerting related documentation that may help you understand how to use them.

how can i monitor iccube server and data via an external tool

I'd like to put iccube under solid monitoring so that we know when a) cube load failure or b) cube last update time exceeded the expected.
is there an api i can use to integrate with standard monitoring tools?rest, command-line etc ...
thanks in advance, assaf
Regarding the schema load failure you can check the notification service (www); you can for example receive an eMail on failure. Note that you can implement (JAVA) your own transport service to receive notifications. There is no "notification" for last update time exceeded but if you could use an external LOAD command (www) for loading your schema; in that case you will know the last update time and perform whatever logic required.
Edit: XMLA commands can be sent via any tools (e.g., Bash).
Hope that helps.

How to get the user who initiated the process in IBM BPM 8.5?

How to get the user who initiated the process in IBM BPM 8.5. I want to reassign my task to the user who actually initiated the process. How it can be achieved in IBM BPM?
There are several ways to get that who initiated a Task , But who initiated a process Instance is somewhat different.
You can perform one out of the following :
Add a private variable and assign it tw.system.user_loginName at the POST of start. you can access that variable for user who initiated the process.(It will be null or undefined for the scenario if task is initiated by some REST API or UCA.)
Place a Tracking group after Start event . Add a input variable to it as username , assign it a value same as tw.system.user_loginName. So whenever Process is started entry will be inserted to DB Table. You can retrieve this value from that view in PerformanceDB.
Also there might be some table ,logging the process Instances details , where you can find the user_id directly.
I suggest you to look in getStarter() method of ProcessInstanceData API.
Official Documentation on API
This link on IBM Developerworks should help you too: Process Starter
Unfortunately there's not an Out Of The Box way to do this - nothing is recorded in the Process Instance that indicates "who" started a process. I presume this is because there are many ways to launch a process instance - from the Portal, via a Message Event, from an API call, etc.
Perhaps the best way to handle this is to add a required Input parameter to your BPD, and supply "who" started the process when you launch it. Unfortunately you can't supply any inputs from the OOTB Portal "New", but you can easilty build your own "launcher".
If you want to route the first task in process to the user that started the process the easiest approach is to simply put the start point in the lane, and on the activity select routing to "Last User In Lane". This will take care of the use case for you without requiring that you do the book keeping to track the user.
Its been a while since I've implemented this, so I can't remember if it will work elegantly if you have system steps before the first task, but this can easily be handled by moving the system steps into the human service to be executed as part of that call, rather than as a separate step in the BPD.
Define variable as string type and using script task to define the login user that use this task and assign it to your defined variable to keep to you in all of the process as initiator of the task.
You can use this line of code to achieve the same:
tw.system.user_loginName

How do I send a message from a web site to my local machine?

I want to send a string from a website to a local machine.
My local machine is connected into a network through a router.
Thanks You
email Id: manish.m.meshram#gmail.com
Well, that largely depends on what the receiving computer needs to do with that string.
If you only need to notify the user of this, I would suggest the easier way is to go with the net send command.
Since you are wking in ASP.net, you can use the Process and ProcessStartInfo class to launch a command like
net send YourPC "String to send"
If you need to do something more sophisticated with the string message, you could for example print it in some sort of log file and then read it from the destination machine.
If you can give more information on your needs, we'll be probably able to help you better.

I suggest you poll the webapp for messages.
For instance, let the webapp have an URL that simply returns the timestamp of the most recent message, at http://thesite.com/messages/MostRecentTimetamp.aspx
The page should return the timestamp only, in an format you can parse, for instance:
2009-08-29 14:00:00
Then, on another URL, http://thesite.com/messages/FromLastHour.aspx display the list of messages for the last N hours (or other suitable time period). This page could return one message per line, with the message timestamp at the start of the line.
For instance:
2009-08-29 13:58:20 A message
2009-08-29 13:59:30 Here's a message
2009-08-29 14:00:00 Another message
On your local machine, create a program that as often as needed reads and parses http://thesite.com/messages/MostRecentTimetamp.aspx. If the program detects that the timestamp has changed, read http://thesite.com/messages/FromLastHour.aspx and process the new messages.
Adjust the timing according to your needs.
Or even better, have an URL: http://thesite.com/messages/MoreRecentThan.aspx?timestamp=2009-08-29 13:50:00.
That returns messages that are newer than the timestamp passed in. The program on your local machine should then pass the timestamp of the most recent message it has handled.
Of course, your web site has to keep track of outgoing messages in some sort of queue. You could use a database table for this. The web app can delete old messages from this table periodically.
If you want to get fancy, you could implement this as a SOAP web service. Or you could let the URLs return the data formatted as JSON.

How can I set triggers for sendmail?

If my email id receives an email from a particular sender, can I ask sendmail to trigger a different program and pass on the newly arrived email to it for further processing? This is similar to filters in gmail. Wait for some email to arrive, see if it matches the criteria and take some action if it does.
This is what Procmail is for.
Set Sendmail up to use procmail as the mail delivery agent (MDA), or set up your .forward to pipe stuff through procmail. (See the man page.)
Then you can write your .procmailrc to do all sorts of things along these lines.
This filter predates gmail. Still useful if you're running a mail server.
are you talking about email clients? If so then you can set rules in outlook and I am sure there mustbe ways in other email cleints too!! If u are asking something else. sorry
ok. then I suggest Colins method.. I use cron to monitor emails (for a particluar domain) and send text messages as alerts!. Similar to what you are asking!
We handle this by having a cron process running on the mail server which watches the inbox directory and scans any new messages (files) every 10 minutes or so.
When the process finds an email of interest, it fires the information off to another process which then reacts to the new message (and, in our case, removes the message from the inbox).
--edit--
Finding the email inbox depends on your implementation - check the 'manual' your version of sendmail for details - we direct incoming email to a special directory or have parameters to work out the inbox details. I don't feel it would be useful to be more specific as the answer to 'where is the inbox' is 'it depends'.
As for the pattern to search for - we decode the email message (a text file) into a DOM that we can manipulate. For example, we can then look for specific words in property 'subject'.
