I was trying to launch rstudio from a conda environment that has R 4.1.0 and it gives me that error
This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "xcb"
in "".
Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, xcb.
Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Aborted (core dumped)
How can I solve this issue without being the admin on my computer?
One thing that I changed after creating the environment is
conda env config vars set LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/wdata/msmuhammad/workbench/miniconda3/envs/test2c2/lib"
conda env config vars set RSTUDIO_WHICH_R="/wdata/msmuhammad/workbench/miniconda3/envs/test2c2/bin/R"
I did this because I had an issue in loading Seurat before described in details in this question libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.26' not found on Linux
when I tried exporting QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS=1 and launching rstudio again, it gave this

Please help me to solve this
i tried removing the NODE-MODULES folder and the yarn-lock file and re running 'yarn' command .
but it is not helping
I'm continuing my tries for running GUI application from a docker container.
Background to this task is more described in earlier question:
Building docker image of Qt Quick client apllication
Currently i can successfully build docker image of my client application with content of Dockerfile looking like this:
FROM vookimedlo/ubuntu-qt:qt6_latestDistroOfficial_gcc_kinetic
RUN sudo apt-get update \
&& sudo apt-get install --yes \
vim \
gedit \
tar \
wget \
qtbase5-dev \
qtchooser \
qt5-qmake \
qtbase5-dev-tools \
qt5-image-formats-plugins \
qtwayland5 \
libxext-doc \
default-libmysqlclient-dev \
qtdeclarative5-dev \
libqt5websockets5-dev
WORKDIR /tmp/DDC/
COPY . .
RUN qmake
RUN make
CMD ["./DDC"]
Now when I'm trying to make docker container without any mounting of X11 I'm getting error like this:
$ docker run --name DDC -e DISPLAY=$DISPLAY -it 638500938bb9
qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display :0
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found.
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, wayland-egl, wayland, wayland-xcomposite-egl, wayland-xcomposite-glx, xcb.
But with binding for X11 I'm getting error like this:
$ docker run --name DDC -e DISPLAY=$DISPLAY -v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix:ro -it 638500938bb9
docker: Error response from daemon: Mounts denied:
The path /tmp/.X11-unix is not shared from the host and is not known to Docker.
You can configure shared paths from Docker -> Preferences... -> Resources -> File Sharing.
See https://docs.docker.com/ for more info.
ERRO[0000] error waiting for container: context canceled
Of course I changed content of "ssh_config" file for X11 forwarding:
I also tried passing chmod+ accesses and some other things like changing /tmp/.X11 -v path for container as /root/.X11, but it also didn't work out.
EDIT
I managed to move on, but I'm still getting errors. For upper thing with mounting resolve was much more simpler than I thought. In "Settings -> Resources -> File Sharing I added path "/tmp/.X11-unix" and after that I can mount it into my docker container.
But now when CMD command is executed for running application executable from dockerfile I'm getting this error with output (enabled by QT_PLUGINS):

I am using Ubuntu 20.04.3 and trying some QT-based apps. In my particular use case, I am trying to launch android file transfer and it throws me the following error:

qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "wayland" in "" even though it was found.
This issue is affecting many other GUI of applications I am trying to use and any solutions would be welcome.
The root cause should be debugged with
$ export QT_LOGGING_RULES=qt.qpa.*=true
$ export QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS=1
$ export QSG_INFO=1
$ export QT_QPA_EGLFS_DEBUG=1 # or the appropiate
$ ./yourapp -platform wayland
There are more details here.
Without any other detail, the most probable cause seems to be a device is being pointed at and there is no such file. Such debugging will tell you where it is, and you should note the error then correct it. Other cause might be a missing or wrong .so file being pointed.
You could also try strace and ltrace to find the offending missing file.

When I try composer install I have the error : Installing symfony/webpack-encore-pack (v1.0.3): Downloading Failed to download symfony/webpack-encore-pack from dist: The "https://api.github.com/repos/symfony/webpack-encore-pack/zipball/8d7f51379d7ae17aea7cf501d910a11896895ac4" file could not be downloaded (HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found).
I checked this URL and the file didn't exist. How can I solve this issue?
symfony/webpack-encore-pack has seen its last update more than three years ago and is abandoned. The code is no longer present on Github, so it cannot be downloaded from the location that is stored in your composer.lock (that's what https://api.github.com/repos/symfony/webpack-encore-pack/zipball/8d7f51379d7ae17aea7cf501d910a11896895ac4 does: it links to the URL of a zipped version of that package in a specific version).
According to a discussion about this, you should use symfony/webpack-encore-bundle instead. Sadly, this package is not compatible with Symfony 3.3 in any version, so you might need to update it to v3.4
I'm creating some internal packages with R in RStudio. My repositories are hosted in Azure DevOps. I saw the renv.lock and there is a section for repositories.
{
"R": {
"Version": "3.6.1",
"Repositories": [
{
"Name": "CRAN",
"URL": "https://cran.rstudio.com"
}
]
},
"Packages": {
"BH": {
"Package": "BH",
"Version": "1.69.0-1",
"Source": "Repository",
"Repository": "CRAN",
"Hash": "0fde015f5153e51df44981da0767f522"
},
"KernSmooth": {
"Package": "KernSmooth",
"Version": "2.23-16",
"Source": "Repository",
"Repository": "CRAN",
"Hash": "a531dc333440009ee13bbb507232476d"
}
}
My components are in a url like
https://dev.azure.com/mycompany/RComponents/_git/mycomponent
Is there a way to add my private repositories in here? How can I install R packages from Azure DevOps?
I got it to work using the remotes package!
remotes::install_git("<clone url>", git = "external")
#AKA
remotes::install_git("https://ORG#dev.azure.com/USER/PROJECT/_git/NAME", git = "external")
You are then directed to a sign in handled via RStudio popups.
renv is able to install and restore packages from a variety of sources, including:
CRAN,
Bioconductor,
GitHub
Gitlab
Bitbucket
However, it does not include Azure DevOps. Please refer to this document. In addition, there is also no information about using Azure DevOps repositories or packages in the RStudio Documentation.
