How to add a recipe on a webpage to Google Assistant? - voice

Google's structured data documentation states that you can enable the Google Assistant to guide users through your recipes on Google Home and smart displays by adding Recipe structured data to your webpage. We are planning on making a voice recipe book for visually impaired people and this option seemed better than making our own voice action.
However, I can't get it to work. I made a test page with a dummy recipe (in Dutch) and in the Google Search Console (GSC) I can see that it is indexed properly. The GSC says it recognises the Recipe. But when I google "smerige appeltaart van Chris Waalberg" I do see the search result, but it's not displayed as a rich recipe. Nor does my Google Home find it when I ask for it.
Is there a way to make sure Google Assistant includes my recipe as an option for its built in recipe guide?

How does Google Keep fetch link preview?

My websites (which are just recovered from an attack) are fetched like this in Google Keep. However testing with Facebook Open Graph Debugger they appear normal. So is there a way to know what mechanism GK uses to fetch link preview?

Custom dimension reporting not working - can see dimensions in tag manager

I'm trying to track the internal campaigns on our website and followed the tutorial given by Smashing Magazine.
After implementing this, I was looking at the custom report and it is not showing any data. All it says is this - "There is no data for this view."
Attaching a screenshot from Tag Manager preview mode.
This is our site and I'm trying to track the buttons with custom parameters (itm_source, itm_medium, itm_campaign, itm_term, itm_content).
Appreciate any help in this regard.

checking analytics setup for page I do not own

I'm a consumer data analyst who is not very familiar to coding other than occasional encounters with HTML and Python, and I'm just starting with the coding part of Web Analytics. In particular, I need to learn about checking websites I don't own (therefore I don't have access to their Analytics accounts) for tracking info, but it has been phenomenally hard to find information on which tracking function each component of code stand for, or to what extent it is visible from the page source.
For a project, here is a page I'm trying to check for Google Analytics/Tag Manager/alternative analytics setup, and see what is exactly being tracked on it. Other than the source code, I checked it with Ghostery, which gave me this Tag Manager code page. Is it possible to check tracking info from these two (events, pageviews, URI and how many custom dimensions there is, specifically), and which part of the code includes that info (particularly URI and dimension info - the first two, I have more idea about)?
This is a page I'm also looking into. I can see that this one has Google Analytics/Tag manager, but again, I can't make sure of what is being tracked, and whether the Analytics/Tag Manager setup is looking -potentially- problematic in any way. Here is the Tag Manager page for this one that I obtained through Ghostery.
Any help would be much appreciated...
Looks like what you are looking for is Google Tag Assistant extension for google chrome: https://get.google.com/tagassistant/
you can download it from here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tag-assistant-by-google/kejbdjndbnbjgmefkgdddjlbokphdefk?hl=en
When you install it it will appear as icon on any page you visit and it will show you all GA implementations on a page:
You can select tracking ID you are interested in and it will tell you how many Page Views/events were fired for that particular tracking ID only:
Then you can select individual tracking event/page view and see all data that are being sent with that tracking request. Just Click on URLs and click the icon to put the data in table:
Here "cd" stands for Custom Dimension, so here you can clearly see 2 custom dimensions that are being tracked:
Hope this helps, good luck!

Google Rich Snippet not working

I am unable to activate Google rich snippet with my website www.hensdry.net As it shows all good in Google Structured tool but in Google results it does not show the results it suppose to be.
My website is www.hensdry.net
Thanks
Jim
Are you talking about a G+ image next to SERPs and Google's validator at http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets ?
Having correct structured data is only the first step in getting your G+ image next to SERPs. The final decision is up to Google, and they have recently reduced the number of sites that get the benefit of structured data. See http://www.google.com/search?q=google+reduces+authorship
Google take some time to crawl your pages & detect the structured codes added to your page's code. Adding structured code doesn't guarantee rich snippets. It all depends on the search query from the users. If the search query matches the data in your structured code, Google would show it a rich snippet. Otherwise, the regular snippet that matches the search query will be shown.

Google not showing up Rich Snippets any more?

Recently I was trying to implement Rich Snippets for google (for music) to show up in search results, but noticed, that Google is not showing up those rich snippets even for those web-sites, that are included in guides and examples right in google docs.
As I realize, google is showing snippets only for Youtube videos, some other video services and Blogs that are connected to Google+ now.
What's happening, google has disavowed using rich snippets, or that's country or user settings specific issue?
It is certainly showing now. However, it seems Google is regularly making changes in rich snippets feature. Sometimes you would find some pages of your site show rich snippets, while others lose. Sometimes your home page shows snippets and then it is gone. Earlier, several thumbnails of same author were showing on a single results page. But now we see only a single post link with thumbnail of an author. It seems they would keep making changes in this feature before the feature matures a little.
