How to connect a charging station to OCPP server?
Can't seem to find any examples or docs about how it obtains a connection URL.

Charging Station provide a way to modify their Settings before the usage. For example, Phoenix Chargers provide manual in which OCPP connection URL is set as in picture below:
As you can see, the inputs provide you the way to set (in order):
WS(HTTP) or WSS(HTTPS) WebSocket connection
IP or Domain
Port Number
Endpoint
So the connection URL for this Charging Station would be ws://172.16.112.9:8080/ocpp/ but you can modify it to suit your needs.

Every Charge Point work as client and the Central Station is the Server.
So, every Charge Point need to know the endpoint of Server.
Which version of OCPP you want use or server use,

Vugen (Loadrunner) not able to record wms and wfs calls

I have an internal website which is completely based on Geo Map and uses HTTP/HTTPS protocol also wfs and wms service calls.
While recording with LR I am able to launch and record all the contents,
but after that for next transaction when I click on any of the option to see the map It is not recording in LR.
For next transaction type of calls are jquery which gets the server response in form of images (geo locations).
I tried recording with HTTP single and HTTP with Web-services multiple protocols also
My LR version is 12.01 and recording it with Chrome browser

Both WFS and WMS, from the open geospacial consortium, should be using HTTP as a carrier. Can you provide insight on why such calls to these servers are being ignored
Do you have the servers in any sort of filter as a third party element which should not be tested as you do not have ownership or control of the target?
Are you electing to connect to these services over a protocol other than HTTP?
You note, "Not recording," what is the specific objective evidence that a recording is not occuring? Lack of evidence in the recording logs? Lack of an increase in the events counter? Lack of ?? Please clarify
Have you tried the HTTP Proxy method of recording versus the default sockets model?

Implementing an audio stream service similar to Spotify

High Level Description
Let's say I have a client program (an iOS app in my specific case) that should communicate with a server program running on a remote host. The system should work as follows:
The server has a set of indexed audio files and exposes them to the client using the indexes as identifiers
The client can query the server for an item with a given identifier and the server should stream its contents so the client can play it in real time
The data streamed by the server should only be used by the client itself, i.e. someone sniffing the traffic should not be able to interpret the contents and the user should not be able to access the data.
From my perspective, this is a simple implementation of what Spotify does.
Technical Questions
How should the audio data be streamed between server and client? What protocols should be used? I'm aware that using something on top of TLS will protect the information from someone sniffing the traffic, however it won't protect it from the user himself if he has access to the encryption keys.

HTTPS is the best way for this.

That's not possible. Even if you had some sort of magic to prevent capture of decrypted data (which isn't possible), someone can always record the audio output, even digitally.

Spotify doesn't do this. Nobody does, and nobody can. It's impossible. If the client must decode data, then you can't stop someone from modifying how that data gets decoded.
What you can do
Use HTTPS
Sign your URLs so that the raw media is only accessible for short periods of time. Everyone effectively gets their own URL to the media. (Check out how AWS S3 handles this, for an excellent example.)
If you're really concerned, you can watermark your files on-the-fly, encoding an ID within them so that should someone leak the media, you can go after them based on their account data. This is expensive, so make sure you really have a business case for doing so.

retrieve dynamically assigned tcp port from akka.net remote

My job is to write a distributed client/server application with some concurrent tasks. So i decided to use akka.net for the concurrency issues. To implement the ipc between server and client akka remote is used. For some reasons there may run more than one client of the same type on a workstation. So i configured these clients for dynamic assignment of a tcp port. This worked fine for sending messages to the server.
My problem is to push some information to the clients. To accomplish this task an actor on the client exist. Now the server creates a reference for this actor. Therefor it needs the port the client is listening on . My idea is to send the tcp port the client uses to the server in some sort of connection procedure using a actor on the server.
After searching for some hours I didn't find any hint where to find the dynamically assigned tcp port. So how would the client get the assigned tcp port?
Ok, I could use akka.cluster. But using akka.cluster is breaking a fly on the wheel, I think. And if it solves my issue reamins to be seen.
Two suggestions, assuming that it is your client that makes the first contact with the server.
I'd have the server keep track of which clients are connected. I'd probably have a heartbeat message that gets sent once every few seconds from each client system. This way you can store an IActorRef for each alive client and send messages back without the need for finding the port. IActorRefs are preferable wherever possible for location transparency.
If you actually need to explicitly find the port, you may be able to extract it from the Path property of the IActorRef of one of the actors on the client system.
Thanks to patricks suggestions my issue is solved.
The solution is to extract the needed information from the senders path available while executing the hello message. With this information the server is able to maintain a list of all connected clients and theire network address.

HTTP proxy server - need to handle dynamic client

I have developed serve-client model based on UDP. Client are connected to server on random basis. I mean number of clients alive at a time is not fixed.
Any new client can communicate any time. It means, there could be 1 live client or 100 clients or any number of clients.
Now in such model, I need to add HTTP requests. Browser could send request to server and then server will forward that to any of client based on some identification.
Is there any method or readymade server(like nginix or lighttpd), which I can use for this requirement.
My big worry is that, destination client are not fixed, they keep changing. Most of server (nginix or lighttd) have static entries for destination address.
I visualize your scenario as multiple sensors that connect to the servers when they have something to say, and then they send a request and wait for the answer.
I visualize you also want to somehow administer such modules so that you want to access to them via HTTP.
You could leave the new configuration items on the regular server so that upon any update connection the response would include (in a piggy-backed fashion) the changes to the node.
Or the server could mark somehow your interest in accessing a certain node, and then, when this connects, the server could notify the interested client. The sensor should pay attention to clients wanting to connect to them during a window time.

find out connection speed on http request?

is it possible to find out the connection speed of the client when it requests a page on my website.
i want to serve video files but depending on how fast the clients network is i would like to serve higher or lower quality videos. google analytics is showing me the clients connection types, how can i find out what kind of network the visitor is connected to?

No, there's no feasible way to detect this server-side short of monitoring the network stream's send buffer while streaming something. If you can switch quality mid-stream, this is a viable approach because if the user's Internet connection suddenly gets burdened by a download you could detect this and switch to a lower-quality stream.
But if you just want to detect the speed initially, you'd be better off doing this detection on the client and sending the results to the server with the video request.
Assign each request a token /videos/data.flv?token=uuid123, and calculate amount of data your webserver sends for this token per second (possible check for multiple tokens at one username at a time period). You can do this with Apache sources and APR.
