How to send a push notification to pwa from a nodejs server?

I have a working PWA application and i have tried integrating push notifications to it which worked. But those notifications happened totally in the front end, a user has to click a button and a push notifications would show up.
In my application i have a cronjob that runs every night to check if certain things are updated. If so i want to send a push notification to a user to notify them.
But i cannot find any information regarding this subject so I'm thinking it's not possible since the nodejs server doesn't have a connection to the PWA. Is there something I'm overlooking on my approach or is it simply not possible?

How to know telegram web app opened from an inline button, was closed?

I successfully open a web app using an in-line button from my Telegram bot. When the "work" is complete in the web app, it persists the data to a DB via an API call and then closes itself (the web app) using Telegram.WebApp.close(). Upon the closing of the Web app my bot then needs to automatically refresh some information shown in the private chat from where the web app was launched.
Question: How can my bot know that the web app has been closed? Or how can I send a "notification" from the web app to the bot to let it know that it should refresh the data.
Supposedly I should be using answerWebAppQuery but search as I may, I cannot find any examples of how to use this. The closest example I could find is "In our case, we need to send data via answerWebAppQuery, without any servers, using the bot API: https://api.telegram.org/${yourBotToken}/answerWebAppQuery, options.
You will need query_id from initData to send data using this approach.". I tried it and it just gives a 404 error.
I would appreciate any help or pointers to where I can find the info I need.

Notification when app is closed in Ionic3

I am building my app using Ionic3 and Firebase. Here users can send eatch other messages. I want when a use sends a message to another ures he/she should get a notification in the phone even when the app is closed. I have no idea how to achieve this with Ionic3.
Any suggesions please.
I can see there are mainly 2 plugins for push notifications. cordova-plugin-firebase and cordova-plugin-fcm
At least I can fine some tutorial for cordova-plugin-fcm in the internet. There is no clear example of any wayout given for cordova-plugin-firebase.
You have to use the cordova-plugin-firebase and each time a user logs in using a device, a unique device ID will be registered with respect to that device. This device ID is used to send notifications. Make sure to handle this (device ID), every time a user logs in & logs out. If you do not remove the device_id from the database when a user logs out, he will continue to receive notifications.
You have to use a cordova-plugin for sending push notifications. One of the many available plugins is: cordova-plugin-firebase. This one is a good fit for Ionic 3 because there is an ionic-native wrapper available.
For sending the push notification you can use a third party service (there is also one offered by ionic) or you can send them yourself from your backend.

Are there APIs for skype for consumers rather than skype for business?

I basically want to read and write Skype messages. I am not having Skype for business and it seems that Skype desktop Apis is ceased. Is there any way to push and read messages in Skype programmatically.
Send message to a user and receive messages from a user programmatically via APIs from their desktop application. Say a script runs in the background and push messages at a given time to a certain user.
You can take a look at these:

and this Gnoe Extension

Can I find out if an Android iOS or Windows Phone 8 push notification was delivered?

Can you interrogate the Apple (APNS), Google (GCM) or Windows Phone push notification servers after the fact to find if a notification was delivered?
I know that when a server initially sends the push notification there is a response to say whether the message was processed (but this doesn't mean delivered) or rejected by the notification server. But is there any way to subsequently find out via Android, iOS or Windows Phone 8 if the message was delivered?
Ideally I'd like to achieve this just by interrogating the vendor's push notification server, worst case I'm assuming I'd have to put something in my app to register that a given notification arrived and somehow transmit this success status back to my server.
APNS, GCM and MPNs don't offer this functionality.
You'll have to support it yourself, by sending an acknowledgment from the app to your server whenever a notification reaches your app.
For GCM you can view statistics of deliveries, but nothing for individual deliveries :
Viewing Statistics
To view statistics and any error messages for your GCM applications:
Go to the Developer Console.
Login with your developer account.
You will see a page that has a list of all of your apps.
Click on the "statistics" link next to the app for which you want to view GCM
stats.
Now you are on the statistics page.
Go to the drop-down menu and select the GCM metric you want to view.
Note: Stats on the Google API Console are not enabled for GCM. You
must use the Developer Console.
