I wanted to edit IIS error pages for 404 using appcmd.exe commands. I have attached the command I used and the error I got. Can anyone help me out how to resolve the error.

You can try this command:
appcmd.exe set config -section:system.webServer/httpErrors /+"[statusCode='404',prefixLanguageFilePath='YourPath',path='/']" /commit:apphost
Note: You must be sure to set the commit parameter to apphost when you use AppCmd.exe to configure these settings. This commits the configuration settings to the appropriate location section in the ApplicationHost.config file.

I've followed document to re organize files in app/config directory.
Now I have config/common (with config, parameters, parameters.dist, routing, security & services files), and files for each environment in specific directories : app/config/dev and app/config/prod.
But now, when I try to send "composer -n install" to update autoload, I have this error :
[InvalidArgumentException]
The dist file "app/config/parameters.yml.dist" does not exist.
Check your dist-file config or create it.
I know this is a configuration problem, Symfony search my dist file in app/config, how can I redirect it to app/config/common ?
I don't know where is the "dist-file config" written in error.

It is in composer.json:
under "extra", "incenteev-parameters", I've changed value of "file".
I know you can open files from Symfony profiler or exception file links using this in project/app/config.yml :

However as I'm using vagrant, the file path of the server doesn't match my host.
I have created a PHP web application server in PHPStorm with the propper path mappings, but still doesn't work.

When running your app in a container or in a virtual machine, you can tell Symfony to map files from the guest to the host by changing their prefix. This map should be specified at the end of the URL template, using & and > as guest-to-host separators:
// /path/to/guest/.../file will be opened
// as /path/to/host/.../file on the host
// as /path/to/host/.../file on the host
'phpstorm://%f:%l&/path/to/guest/>/path/to/host/&/foo/>/bar/&...'

The answer given by Jeffry no longer works unfortunately :(. When In configure that with my paths the profiler throws:
ParameterNotFoundException
You have requested a non-existent parameter "f:".
I have configured the path according to this line in the SF docs: This map should be specified at the end of the URL template, which results in this:
phpstorm://open?url=file://%%f&line=%%l&/path/to/guest/>/path/to/host/
However, it does open PHPStorm, but phpstorm does not open the file, so i'm a bit stuck here now.
This solves the issue with the file not opening in PhpStorm from a Vagrant:

I am trying to create my own authentication provider like in http://symfony.com/doc/current/cookbook/security/custom_authentication_provider.html.
But, it keeps saying:

Symfony2 sessions will not work properly with "session auto start" enabled. So make sure that's disabled.
Make sure your php configuration php.ini has this configured: session.auto_start = 0.
Or you can add php_flag session.auto_start 0 to your .htaccess file if you can not edit the php.ini file.
Additionally, there's one more possibility to get this error, as I found out after a long time of struggling:
For whatever reason, this crucial part was commented out in my config_test.yml, giving me exactly the same error:

storage_id: session.storage.mock_file
The storage_id setting must be in place to avoid the problem.

Are you sure you're using pdo_pgsql? Are you running on localhost? It might be very certain that you are using pdo_mysql driver instead.
However you have to check the following:
php.ini
extension=pdo.so
extension=pdo_mysql.so
or in your case
extension=pdo.so
extension=pdo_pgsql.so
You can check the phpinfo(); to find out the configured database driver.
In your symfony project you have to check the parameters.ini file in config folder. E.g.
[parameters]
database_driver="pdo_mysql"
database_host="localhost"

First of all, verify your php.ini file: the extensions php_pdo_pgsql and php_pdo must be enabled. Make sure you apply this changes on php.ini file that your symfony project is using, check this on localhost/path_to_your_project/web/config.php. You know if this extensions are enabled executing the function phpinfo().
This command is also helpfull: php -m. It lists on console all the php modules that are loaded.
Tip: check out you Apache error log, there could be something wrong with the load of your extensions. This file is located according to your server configuration.
The last phase of the installer fails with this message:

The same web application had no problems being installed with a web setup project before. The issue started after upgrading the web application from .NET 3.5 SP1 to .NET 4.0.

Unfortunately, Filters is a hard-coded folder name in Dynamic Data. If you look at FilterFactory, there doesn't appear to be any way to override that value, seeing as how the FilterFactory property of MetaModel is not marked virtual. If we can't change the folder name, then we have to look at fixing the installer...
The installer error is being raised by the ApplyWebFolderProperties custom action. That action isn't built-in to Windows Installer—it's added by the Web Setup Project. That's helpful, because it means we can remove it with WiRunSQL.vbs:
cscript WiRunSQL.vbs installer.msi "DELETE FROM CustomAction WHERE Action='WEBCA_ApplyWebFolderProperties'"
Note that the actual name of ApplyWebFolderProperties is WEBCA_ApplyWebFolderProperties. Seeing as how the action doesn't appear to be documented anywhere, caveat emptor. It doesn't appear to be too terribly important though.
To automate the workaround, you could add the command to the setup project's PostBuildEvent like so:
cscript.exe "$(ProjectDir)..\WiRunSQL.vbs" "$(BuiltOuputPath)" "DELETE FROM CustomAction WHERE Action='WEBCA_ApplyWebFolderProperties'"
If anyone knows a better way to install a folder named Filters, I'd love to hear it.
