we had a WordPress installation set up under a subdomain: new.test.com.
After we were done with the setup, we moved everything to a new domain, www.test.de.
In the process, we also replaced every URL in the database and cleared Avada's cache accordingly.
But now we have the problem that no logo is displayed anymore, the fonts are not correct and also ICONS not.
What can be the reason for this?
Clearing the cache inside of avada theme options will clear all settings to default.
You removed all settings, as avadas theme-cache is not a browser cache.
It stores your settings in your DB.
Clearing this, removes your settings.
There is no way back without a backup.
You need to activate a backup and download the settings-file in avada theme (options -> import/export) so you can restore your settings later in the theme options if anything goes wrong.

I'm creating a new Wordpress theme on local (XAMPP). When I make changes in the theme folder in the wp-content folder, it takes a LONG time to be able to see these changes reflected on the localhost site. I cleared the cache, restarted xampp and even the computer. Still, sometimes, I can only see the changes the next day. The changes can be as simple as disable some jquery or changing the css. Is there some configuration issue at play? How do I resolve this issue?
If you use any caching plugins try and disable them or purge cache.
Try empty cache and hard reload on your browser.
Try disabling all plugins and see if problem still exists.
Try changing theme and see if problem still exists.
My wordpress site was working fine , but wordpress update it to V 5.4 and after that my website is not working , not even i can access my admin dashboard.
I tried all these step to solve this
MANUAL INSTLLATION (RECOMMENDED)
Download the WP Safe Mode plugin and unzip it, you’ll now have a
wp-safe-mode folder.
Connect to your server (for example via FTP) and go to your website
folder.
Add this line to your wp-config.php file:
if( !defined('WPMU_PLUGIN_DIR') ) define( 'WPMU_PLUGIN_DIR',
dirname(__FILE__).'/wp-content/wp-safe-mode' ); //WP Safe Mode
Create the folder named wp-safe-mode inside your wp-contents folder.
Uploade the file wp-safe-mode/bootstrap/wp-safe-mode-loader.php into
the newly created wp-safe-mode folder.
Upload the entire wp-safe-mode folder to your plugins folder in
wp-content/plugins.
If your site is broken and you cannot install plugins or access the dashboard, you can modify the loader file temporarily to gain access by following these additional steps:
Open the plugin file wp-safe-mode-loader.php and change this line:
public $safe_mode_on = false;
to
public $safe_mode_on = true;
Upload the modified wp-safe-mode-loader.php file to the
wp-contents/plugins/wp-safe-mode folder.
Visit your site, deactivate plugins etc.
Undo the changes you just made to wp-safe-mode-loader.php when you
want to disable safe mode.
But nothing works for me. Can you please suggest something so i can fix my problem
Theme Conflict Troubleshoot:
To perform this, you just activate a default theme, like Twenty Nineteen. Unfortunately, because your site is showing an error, you will need to perform the troubleshoot with either your web host’s file manager (like cPanel’s Filemanager), or use FTP or sFTP (it’s like secure version of FTP.) It’s important to note that in switching themes, you won’t lose your chosen theme’s settings. To do this, you rename your active theme’s folder by adding DISABLE or OFF to the end of the folder’s name. For example, if you’re using Twenty Eighteen and the folder is ‘twentyeighteen’, you would name it ‘twentyeighteenDISABLE’ or ‘twentyeighteenOLD’ . Go back to the front of your site and refresh.
The objective is to check whether the mistake leaves. In the event that it doesn’t, it is anything but a subject issue. Try to rename the organizer back to its unique name when you’re finished investigating.
Plugin Conflict Troubleshoot
If it’s not the theme, it might be a plugin issue. In a way, troubleshooting is similar. However, it’s much easier to rename the plugin folder to ‘pluginsOFF’. Visit the site, and log-in. This will turn off all of the plugins. Please note that it won’t remove the original settings of those plugins, as they will be there when you reactivate them later on.
Once the plugins are off, go back and rename the folder back to ‘plugins’. Go to your WordPress admin area and reactivate each, one-by-one, until you get the screen that says “There has been a critical error on your website”. The plugin that you just reactivated, is the problem.
You can either disable the plugin that caused the problem or remove it or roll it back to the previous version using the rollback plugin and wait until the developer releases a new version of the plugin.
I have installed a premium theme and changed the screenshot.png and uploaded it via ftp, upon looking at the admin panel it still display the old screenshot.png and the link it was linking was
http:// www. mysite .com/wp-content/themes/mytheme/screenshot.png
and if I directly go to the link
mysite.com/wp-content/themes/mytheme/screenshot.png
it shows my new screenshot but not showing on my admin panel, why does the admin panel detects the screenshot with www and if I look on my hosting file manager my theme has the new screenshot. I've tried to delete and reinstall wordpress from scratch including the theme but still doing the same thing. any thoughts?
Thanks!
It's probably cached. Try CTRL+F5 or clear browser cache and see if that helps.
A quicker solution is to add a query arg to the end of the url, like ?refresh=1 which would make your browser think it is a different URL, even if the query arg doesn't do anything. This won't fix the original issue until your cache clears, still, but it will tell you that it is working (at least for other people who haven't seen the old version yet).
On my heroku-hosted site, I have a Wordpress Blog. Every time I push to Heroku, my permalinks for the archives and categories are reset and those links are broken. Additionally, the settings for some of my plugins (WP Super Cache) are reset and that plugin is turned off. Although I can easily fix this by going to the Wordpress admin page and turning those settings back on, does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?
It's writing settings to the file system which is reset on each push/restart. The file system is temporary and should not be relied on.
I bought a theme for WordPress and when i try to edit the theme it would not change a thing.
i even deleted images and background from the theme and it somehow still shows up on the page like its being cached somewhere. I cleared my browsers cache and just to be sure i tried to visit the my website on a different computer and the same page shows up.
My question is does WordPress cache images somewhere automatically? if yes is there any way to flush it?
WP doesn't cache anything unless you have any caching plugins enabled. Try disabling all plugins and double checking that the files you deleted are really the ones that you're seeing in your browser.
Right click on any images to get their source then compare them with the path of the image on the server, are they the same?
