I am currently working on a warehouse management system operated on a Raspberry Pi. Scanning a QR code should open the correct line of the database.
I read the text file/CSV file containing the QR code into my Table QR database via:
insert into QR values(readfile("C:\...\IDNumberfromQR.csv"));
this works, because the ID number appears in the database in the correct table. However, the content of the text file is read in the file type "Blob".
If I now make a table comparison via
SELECT * from warehouse management table
where PulverID=( select code from QR);
nothing appears.
However, if I enter the ID number on the computer in the table QR.code and do not have the ID read in via my file, the line I am looking for appears. So it is obviously a Data format problem.
What I already tried:
I have already set both to blob in the settings. This still did not work. The functions found in the SQLiteStudio tutorial like import(file,format,table) don't work either.
Does anyone have any idea how i can solve this problem?

The use case is that, there is an Informatica Cloud mapping which loads from SQL Server to Teradata database. If there any failures during the run time of the mapping then that mappings writes all the failed rows to a table in Teradata database. The key column in this error table is HOSTDATA which I assume. I am trying to decode the HOSTDATA column so that if a similar ETL failure happens in the production then it would be helpful in identifying the root cause much quickly. By default HOSTDATA is a column of type VARBYTES.
To decode the HOSTDATA column, converted the column to ASCII and Base 16 format. None of them made any use.
Then tried the below from the Teradata forum.
Then tried to extract the data from the error table using a BTEQ script. For that the data is being exported into a .err file and it is being loaded back into the Teradata database using a fastload script. Fastload is unable to load the data because there is no specific delimiter for the data. There data in the .err file looks gibberish. Snapshot of the data from the .err file:
My end goal is to interpret the Hostdata column in a more human readable way. Any suggestions in this direction are also welcome.
The Error Table Extractor command twbertbl which is part of "Teradata Parallel Transporter Base" software is designed to extract and format HOSTDATA from the error table VARBYTE column.
Based on the screenshot in your question, I suspect you will need to specify FORMATTED as the record format option for twbertbl (default is DELIMITED).
I guess that it's valid for MySQL, however, I cannot find anything about SQLite.
Basically, I have a table which is named 'CUSTOMER'.
So I create an attribute like this:
.. Image BLOB .. after that my insert statement looks like this:
INSERT INTO CUSTOMER(1,LOAD_FILE(D:/Project/Images/X.jpg));
However, the LOAD_FILE tag is not working and I don't know how to insert an image or if we can do that.
If you're using the sqlite3 shell, the relevant function is readfile().
If you're doing this from your own program, you have to read the file into a byte array and bind it as a blob to the desired column in an insert. The exact details vary depending on language and sqlite bindings, but you shouldn't ever have to convert it to a blob literal string and embed that directly into a statement.
You can store an image as a BLOB, but you'd have to insert it as a a series of bytes using something like :-
INSERT INTO CUSTOMER (image_column, other_column) VALUES(x'0001020304........','data for the first other column');
So you'd need to convert the file into a hex string to save it.
However, it's not really recommended to store images but to rather store the path to the image and then retrieve the file when you want to display/use the image.
Saying that, SQLite can, for smaller images (say 100K), actually be more efficient 35% Faster Than The Filesystem.
You must use the cmd command line (windows) to insert the attachment. The sqllitespy (version 1.9.13) does not support de command from the program command line.
You should acess you database first with the CMD and after that;
update (your table) set (column) = readfile ('dir where the files are stored'||num||ยด.jpg);
I have Uploaded a file into server and I want to read the data from that file and insert data into the oracle. I am using a list for taking the data from the file and Data is reading from this List. No problem with my code. It reads completely and data's are inserted into the oracle table Locally.. But After Hosting the data's not completely inserted to the table..After inserting some data it become stuck.
I am having an issue with an SQLite database. I am using the SQLite ODBC from http://www.ch-werner.de/sqliteodbc/ Installed the 64-bit version and created the ODBC with these settings:
I open my Access database and link to the datasource. I can open the table, add records, but cannot delete or edit any records. Is there something I need to fix on the ODBC side to allow this? The error I get when I try to delete a record is:
The Microsoft Access database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time.
When I edit a record I get:
The record has been changed by another user since you started editing it. If you save the record, you will overwrite the changed the other user made.
Save record is disabled. Only copy to clipboard or drop changes is available.
My initial attempt to recreate your issue was unsuccessful. I used the following on my 32-bit test VM:
Access 2010
SQLite 3.8.2
SQLite ODBC Driver 0.996
I created and populated the test table [tbl1] as documented here. I created an Access linked table and when prompted I chose both columns ([one] and [two]) as the Primary Key. When I opened the linked table in Datasheet View I was able to add, edit, and delete records without incident.
The only difference I can see between my setup and yours (apart from the fact that I am on 32-bit and you are on 64-bit) is that in the ODBC DSN settings I left the Sync.Mode setting at its default value of NORMAL, whereas yours appears to be set to OFF.
Try setting your Sync.Mode to NORMAL and see if that makes a difference.

The solution in this case was the following:
One possible workaround would be to create a new SQLite table with all the same columns plus a new INTEGER PRIMARY KEY column which Access will "see" as AutoNumber. You can create a unique index on (what are currently) the first four columns to ensure that they remain unique, but the new new "identity" (ROWID) column is what Access would use to identify rows for CRUD operations.
I had this problem too. I have a table with a primary key on a VARCHAR(30) (TEXT) field.
Adding an INTEGER PRIMARY KEY column didn't help at all. After lots of testing I found the issue was with a DATETIME field I had in the table. I removed the DATETIME field and I was able to update record values in MS-Access datasheet view.
So now any DATETIME fields I need in SQLite, I declare as VARCHAR(19) so they some into Access via ODBC as text. Not perfect but it works. (And of course SQLite doesn't have a real DATETIME field type anyway so TEXT is just fine and will convert OK)
I confirmed it's a number conversion issue. With an empty DATETIME field, I can add a time of 01-01-2014 12:01:02 via Access's datasheet view, if I then look at the value in SQLite the seconds have been rounded off:
sqlite> SELECT three from TEST where FLoc='1020';
2014-01-01 12:01:00.000
SYNCMODE should also be NORMAL not OFF.
Update:
If you have any text fields with a defined length (e.g. foo VARCHAR(10)) and the field contents contains more characters than the field definition (which SQLite allows) MS-Access will also barf when trying to update any of the fields on that row.
I've searched all similar posts as I had a similar issue with SQLite linked via ODBC to Access. I had three tables, two of them allowed edits, but the third didn't. The third one had a DATETIME field and when I changed the data type to a TEXT field in the original SQLite database and relinked to access, I could edit the table. So for me it was confirmed as an issue with the DATETIME field.
After running into this problem, not finding a satisfactory answer, and wasting a lot of time trying other solutions, I eventually discovered that what others have mentioned about DATETIME fields is accurate but another solution exists that lets you keep the proper data type. The SQLite ODBC driver can convert Julian day values into the ODBC SQL_TIMESTAMP / SQL_TYPE_TIMESTAMP types by looking for floating point values in the column, if you have that option enabled in the driver. Storing dates in this manner gives the ODBC timestamp value enough precision to avoid the write conflict error, as well as letting Access see the column as a date/time field.
Even storing sub-second precision in the date string doesn't work, which is possibly a bug in the driver because the resulting TIMESTAMP_STRUCT contains the same values, but the fractional seconds must be lost elsewhere.
I have a small statistics program, which you can point to a CSV file. It tries to determine certain properties (like i.E. which columns might be a date). Lately I have been reading a lot about SQLite and would like to port my application to make us of it, as this would make it easier to create new statitics as only a new select would have to be written.
Now what I would like to know is, I know that SQLite can operate in memory, but of course I don't want to always load the whole file into memory as this can become rather big. So I would like to point SQLite to the CSV file and provide the column information, so that I can do queries on it. It would also be cool if I could create an index in memory (or a temprorary directory) so that the statistics will run faster. This would not need to modify the CSV, only do selects.
Can this be done out of the box? If not, can I write my own filemanager and connect it to SQLite, to achieve this? Writing my own filemanager would only be an option if the effort is not to big, as I don't want to write a full blown database code.
SQLite supports reading from a file:

sqlite> .import data.csv data

You can add constrains and indexes on this table to help you with your analysis.
