then i tried to open the Visual Studio, and i got the same 2 errors, but the visual studio did not stop working, and i was able to modify the code i rebuild the project and run it.. so not sure what is going on ?
aspnet_regiis -i
Using the ASP.NET IIS Registration tool, you can perform tasks such as the following:
Register or remove the .NET Framework ASP.NET installation with IIS.
Create new ASP.NET application pools.
Display the status of all installed versions of ASP.NET.
More here
Edit 1:-
dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:IIS-ASPNET45 /all
Try running this command
Edit 2:-
Try downloading and installing this update

In order to resolve this error you have to install related version of .Net framework in your system.
First install IIS if not installed.
Then run following command:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319> aspnet_regiis -i
OR (Depens on your OS)
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319> aspnet_regiis -i
And in IIS your site should run on pool with version like : .Net FrameWork v4.0.xxxxxx
Open your solution as an Administrator
Maybe this answer comes too late, but I tried the solution from #Sameer referring to this question stackoverflow.com/questions/13749138/asp-net-4-5-has-not-been-registered-on-the-web-server#13749209
aspnet_regiis -i
didn't work for me aswell, but this update fixed the problem for VS 2012
For Visual Studio 2012 you actually need to download an update to fix it from here: support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3002339 – Sameer Nov 16 '15 at 21:17
See if the computer has self updated to .NET 4.6 (due to Windows Update task).
In some situations, the installation of .NET 4.6 may impact on Visual Studio 2012.
In my case I had to upgrade my project to NET 4.6 to solve the problem.
In relation to IIS itself, I guess you may be forgotten some feature - as HTTP which I guess is necessary, even if you won't utilize it directly. Check all features and toogle OFF just those really optional (like FTP).
This reminds me of similar issues I have seen in the past and I strongly suspect it's an installation order related thing which ultimately boils down to the aspnet_regiis command which has been mentioned already (here's some more information on this topic: https://rockyprogress.wordpress.com/2011/09/06/iis-7-5-and-net-framework-4-installation-order-does-matter/).
You would generally want to install IIS first and then .NET afterwards. So I suggest you get rid of the .NET 4.5 installation again by using the "Turn Windows Features On/Off" screen and then later simply add it back in.
Please try below point
1) open Visual studio run as administration
2) Please host your site in IIS (Not on port like localhost:65389...)
3) Make sure about application pool (with framework 4.0)
4) run C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319> aspnet_regiis -i command

Cannot install Microsoft Web Farm Framework v2.2

Trying to install Microsoft Web Farm Framework v2.2 on a Windows 2008 server.
I've already downloaded and installed Web PI v3 after realising v4 is too new to be able to download the Web Farm Framework.
When I run the installer for the Web Farm Framework v2.2 I get the following error:
Web Deployment Tool is a pre-requisite for installing Web Farm Framework. Please install the Web Deployment tool.
The strange thing here is that Web Deploy is already installed (v3.0). So I then try and download v3.5 assuming there is a problem with the current version at v3.
However when I try to install this I get the following error:
Failed to instal Web Platform Installer. Lick OK to use the browser to download installer.
Can anyone help to get this working?
Not sure why it wants me to open another browser window since I just came from a browser to install the extension? So it seems I cannot install something because there is a dependency on something else, yet I can't install that dependency either.
Why is this so difficult and why hasn't Microsoft made this easier to install?
I got this working in the end. Basically you need to just install everything in sequence starting with the Web PI v3 then Web Deploy v2 followed by the Web Farm Framework. It seems there is a dependency on specific versions on each of the required tools. Not sure why it insists on opening a browser window again though.
I just encountered this issue and tried the registry modification which helped me out.
Try changing the registry setting install the module and change the registry back to the original value.
Open Regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InetStp
Edit "MajorVersion" and set the "HexaDecimal" value to 9
Install the WebFarm 2.2 module.
Change the "MajorVersion" back to "HexaDecimal" value of a

Visual Studio 2010 with IE 11 and 2.0 classic web pools

i am using IIS in a visual studio 2010 solution with Integrated 4.0 and 2.0 Classic web pools. when i use IE 11 over the Inet to "try" and login, the app fails.
yes i know about changing settings but this cannot happen on my web site. Any thoughts on what is happening and / or why?
i have not tried to bring up the app using IE 11, any ideas on the "surprises" i will find? thanks for any comments, they are appreciated.
I had the same issue using VS2010. I knew this problem existed with IE 10 and I somehow let the automatic updates install IE 11.
I found this fix from MS and it resolved the issue for me:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/visualstudioalm/archive/2013/09/17/coded-ui-mtm-issues-on-internet-explorer-with-kb2870699.aspx
My apologies if this is wide of the OP's question, but I also had problems using Studio 2010 with the new IE 11 (googling those two terms led me here, and John B's post led me to answer). Specifically Studio's debugger would fail to attach to IE 11 while I was launching a Silverlight project.
John B linked to an MSDN patch. After I installed it, Studio still would fail to attach to IE11, but at least this time I got an error message: "The 32-bit version of the Visual Studio Remote Debugging Monitor (MSVSMON.EXE) cannot be used to debug 64-bit processes or 64-bit dumps. Please use the 64-bit version instead."
From that message I found out that Silverlight can only run in 32-bit mode. And both IE10 and IE11 cannot run in 32-bit mode when they place all the tabs into a single 64-bit process. However, if "Enhanced Protected Mode" is enabled (which it was for me by default, it's under Internet Options' Security tab) and you change this registry value...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\TabProcGrowth
...to be something more than 0 (I set mine to 5, not sure it matters much as long as it's more than 0), then IE11 is able to spawn 32-bit processes and Studio is able to launch a 32-bit browser instance that it can attach the Silverlight debugger to.

Is is possible to enable metabase compatibility in IIS 7 programmatically?

I have an application that I am wrapping up in an installer. I would like to, either through the registry, or by writing a script, enable IIS 6 metabase compatibility in IIS 7.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
You should be able to use dism.exe or pkgmgr.exe or ocsetup.exe to automate the installation of this component. You can technically do this these days because Windows Vista ( as far as I know ) always caches the WIM file needed to install the component.
Still, I wouldn't do it. I'd just upgrade to InstallShield 2010 which has native II7 capabilities. Or you could use Windows Installer XML 3.5 which has the same. You eliminate the dependency and simplify the deployment in the process.
If you decide to do it anyways, check out this good article:

how to install II7 in vista

Hi Im trying to setup an environment for my pc ,
Im trying to learn asp.net , and i dont know how setup this in vista , in php its so easy in wamp, but I dont know here, please help me..thanks
any help is appreciated
Here is a step by step tutorial on Microsoft IIS site :
http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/28/installing-iis-7-on-windows-vista-and-windows-7/
You can install IIS by typing optionalfeatures.exe in the Windows Vista Start menu. You don’t however need to install IIS to learn ASP.NET as you desire. A better starting point might be to install Visual Studio Express as that gives you all the tools you need to build your first ASP.NET project. You can download it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/express/Web/
Another option would be to install an all-in-once WebMatrix. It contains the editor with syntax highlighting and intellisense, lightweight IIS server (IIS Express) and a lot of built-in capabilities to jump start learning ASP.NET. You can easily install open source applications like DotNetNuke and start digging into them within minutes.
