I try to run this command
> symfony new my_project_name
But it gave me this error.
[Composer\Exception\NoSslException]
The openssl extension is required for SSL/TLS protection but is not available. If you can not enable the openssl extension, you can disable this error, at your own risk, by setting the 'disable-tls' option to true.
You may need to activate openssl in your php.ini.
To find your current php.ini file execute this command php --ini
Then add this line
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; Dynamic Extensions ;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
...
extension=openssl <---
Restart php services (task manager > CGI / FastCGI > End task) to be sure to apply modification.
Also, be sure that the php_openssl.dll is inside of your php/installation/path/ext/ directory.

ssh://git#github.com/lagom/lagom-scala.g8.git: Auth fail
I've verified authentication with
GitHub:
$ ssh -T git#github.com
Hi agam! You've successfully authenticated, but GitHub does not provide shell access.
Also verified that I can access the repo in question (i.e. I can do the following, in a separate location):
git clone ssh://git#github.com/lagom/lagom-scala.g8.git
Edit: fwiw I'm able to work around whatever the root cause is here:
git clone ssh://git#github.com/lagom/lagom-scala.g8.git
g8 file:///Users/abrahma/tmp/lagom-scala.g8
I ran into this problem as well, and solved it by removing the following from my ~/.gitconfig:
[url "git#github.com:"]
insteadOf = https://github.com/
Are you using OpenSSH 7.8 or newer, and have you recently created your private key?
If so you might be running into the issue described in “Invalid privatekey” when using JSch aka jsch#129.
The root cause was discovered to be the ssh private key mismatch.
The question has a workaround to convert the key file to an older format if that's the error you're seeing.
You need to add your SSH key to the agent:
ssh-add ~/.ssh/id_rsa
I'm trying to send multiple nginx logs to loggly...
Config file: /etc/rsyslog.d/21-nginx.conf
$ModLoad imfile
#$InputFilePollInterval 10
$InputFileMode inotify
$WorkDirectory /var/spool/rsyslog
$PrivDropToGroup adm
# nginx access file:
$InputFileName /var/log/nginx/*access.log
$InputFileTag nginx-access:
$InputFileStateFile stat-nginx-access
$InputFileSeverity info
$InputFilePersistStateInterval 20000
$InputRunFileMonitor
# other stuff continues......
after restart i get this error in log syslog:
imfile: The to-be-monitored file "/var/log/nginx/*access.log" contains wildcards. This is not supported in polling mode. [v8.16.0 try http://www.rsyslog.com/e/2420 ]
activation of module imfile failed [v8.16.0 try http://www.rsyslog.com/e/-3 ]
did i make something wrong?
Are there other places in your rsyslog configuration where the file mode is changed to pulling or the file poll interval is active? The problem with using this kind of legacy syntax is that all the configuration is loaded globally, so things in other configuration files can interact. You might consider using the new action syntax so that the inotify mode is applied to the specific source. You can see an example of it here http://www.rsyslog.com/doc/v8-stable/configuration/modules/imfile.html
I'm trying to set up Symfony 2.5 via Composer.
First I am calling:
php5.3.8-cli /kunden/81425/composer.phar create-project symfony/framework-standard-edition hhcadm/ "2.5.*"
This works until at some point it is internally not calling php5.3.8-cli anymore but somehow uses php. The problem is that php is version 4.4.9 and this causes following effect:
Nothing to install or update
Generating autoload files
Updating the "app/config/parameters.yml" file
X-Powered-By: PHP/4.4.9
Content-type: text/html
<br />
<b>Parse error</b>: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING or '(' in <b>/kunden/81425/hhcadm/vendor/sensio/distribution-bundle/Sensio/Bundle/DistributionBundle/Resources/bin/build_bootstrap.php</b> on line <b>13</b><br />
Script Sensio\Bundle\DistributionBundle\Composer\ScriptHandler::buildBootstrap handling the post-install-cmd event terminated with an exception
[RuntimeException]
An error occurred when generating the bootstrap file.
The error makes sense as 4.4.9 is too old. How can I tell Composer/Symfony installer which php installation to use during the install routine?
Same happens for me when I call:
php5.3.8-cli /kunden/81425/composer.phar install
I am pretty shure there must be a config / param for that but I can't find it for hours now.
Thank you very much.
'php' must be the PHP5 executable.
The only solution i see is to modify the PATH, launch the composer command (and eventually restore the old path)
For example :
OLDPATH=$PATH
PATH=/usr/local/php5/bin:$PATH
php /kunden/81425/composer.phar install
PATH=$OLDPATH
To help you, you can also create a small script 'composer.sh' :
#!/bin/sh
OLDPATH=$PATH
PATH=/usr/local/php5/bin:$PATH
php /kunden/81425/composer.phar $*
PATH=$OLDPATH
And you call 'composer.sh install'
Edit : if all php binaries are in the same, you can create symbolic links
For example :
mkdir /usr/local/bin/php5
ln -s /usr/local/bin/php53-cli /usr/local/bin/php5/php
And so PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin/php5:$PATH
Edit: If you are not allowed to create /usr/local/bin/php5 then just use any other folder like:
#!/bin/sh
OLDPATH=$PATH
PATH=/kunden/81425/php5:$PATH
php /kunden/81425/composer.phar $*
PATH=$OLDPATH
I have researched all the answers I can find for this and have had no luck getting it to work.
I am getting the following error when I try to run symfony.
Warning: date_default_timezone_get(): It is not safe to rely on the
system's timezone settings. You are required to use the
date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In
case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this
warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We
selected the timezone 'UTC' for now, but please set date.timezone to
select your timezone. in /symfony_project/app/cache/dev/classes.php
line 5229
I have checked the following :
php --ini
Configuration File (php.ini) Path: /etc Loaded Configuration File:
/etc/php.ini
I have changed the ini file to date.timezone = "Europe/Dublin"
restarted apache
Cleared the cli cache
cleared the browser cache
Ran phpinfo and confirmed the
loaded config file is etc/php.ini
Additional .ini files parsed (none)
date.timezone = "Europe/Dublin"
I also ran echo date_default_timezone_get() in the browser and I get Europe/Dublin
I am running PHP v 5.4.24 (for what its worth)
I ran echo date_default_timezone_get() inside
which returns UTC ... so it looks like symfony is not reading the php.ini file properly.
Not sure what else I can do.
find your php.ini file path
php -i | grep php.ini
edit php.ini date_timezone set it is your timezone
time_zone = "Asia/Shanghai"
restart your nginx and php-fpm
I'm using Symfony 2 and have this row in my parameters.ini:
database_driver = pdo_pgsql
When I was creating database structure with Doctrine everything was good. But if I want to add some doctrine object to my darabase (insert row), I catch an exception:
What I have to do with this?
Are you sure you're using pdo_pgsql? Are you running on localhost? It might be very certain that you are using pdo_mysql driver instead.
However you have to check the following:
php.ini
extension=pdo.so
extension=pdo_mysql.so
or in your case
extension=pdo.so
extension=pdo_pgsql.so
You can check the phpinfo(); to find out the configured database driver.
In your symfony project you have to check the parameters.ini file in config folder. E.g.
[parameters]
database_driver="pdo_mysql"
database_host="localhost"
Besides try to avoid this error
'stty' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
https://github.com/symfony/symfony/issues/4974
First of all, verify your php.ini file: the extensions php_pdo_pgsql and php_pdo must be enabled. Make sure you apply this changes on php.ini file that your symfony project is using, check this on localhost/path_to_your_project/web/config.php. You know if this extensions are enabled executing the function phpinfo().
This command is also helpfull: php -m. It lists on console all the php modules that are loaded.
Tip: check out you Apache error log, there could be something wrong with the load of your extensions. This file is located according to your server configuration.
