this is the situation:
We have a series of tabs, which have card-like elements inside. The designer choose to push a "change display" feature which hides part of the content of the cards (image, description) to increase the displayed number per time.
The problem:
The designer choose to put this change display button, in the tabs section. Like (Tab - Tab - Button).
After a couple hours of research, I couldn't find a way to place a button inside the <b-tabs> component (which has X number of <b-tab>). I had to use float, position absolute and use coordinates to place the button, but obviously this is not a desirable solution.
Is there a better approach to this problem? Or it's possible to place the button inside the component itself?

I have a group box or the like containing a combobox and some more widgets that shall not all be visible at the same time. Depending on the selection I want at the same place to be displayed a button or a line edit or a (second) combobox. So if combobox entry one is selected it shows the button, if entry two is selected it shows the line edit, if entry three is selected it shows the second combobox, while not showing the other two.
I know that I can do it all dynamically but this results in a lot of code lines. I want to use QT Designer and a grid layout and I can't see how to put two widgets at the same place and then make only one visible programmatically.
I hope I could explain properly.
I played with Qt Designer but could not place two widgets over one another in a grid layout.

Yes, I was looking for QStackedWidget. I wasn't aware of this at all. I tried it and it works easily out of the box.
I have reached an impass which means I have to spend many hours doing something in a very tedious way because I can't work out a way to do it quickly, here is my problem.
In flash if I make a button that consists of a rectangle and a text field then make it all a button symbol, if I then copy the symbol to multiple instances on screen and change the text in one of them, it changes in all of them because I am changing the symbol.
How can I overcome this, perhaps with actionscript? I tried writing.
button1.text1.text = "test change button text"; on the main canvas (and giving one button a name of button one and the text field within it text1) but it doesn't work.
The only thing I found that works was to make multiple symbol copies of the button but then if I want to change the colour or dimensions of all the buttons it takes ages.
Is there a better way? Using actionscript 2 perhaps, or just some property of the button to allow individual text?
I attempted your situation... and I didn't run into your problem. Text boxes are individual values, provided that the text box is dynamic or input
I think that what may solve your problem is checking what kind of text boxes you are working with. Look in the properties panel; does it say "dynamic"?
I apologize if the title was not clear enough. I am working on a project where a user can design a page (something like Wix). I am continuing on a project left in-complete by some developer. The sequence of action is.
The user clicks on a link which adds an element on the page (e.g. textElement, picture, slider...)
There is an edit button for each element. Clicking which opens a dialog box.
On the dialog box there are sliders and color picker drawn using Kendo-UI. Using them the user can change the style settings for the element (e.g Font-Color, BG-Color, Font Size...)
What I want now is to apply/show the changes live on that element. I have the id available for each element. I can bind each of the style selectors and apply the changes live to the text element. But that does not seem the right choice as in future we might add another style selector in the dialog box, and that would mean adding the code for binding this new selector.
What I wanted to know was that is there an alternate or preferably easy way to do this?

Share some code with the basic idea that you follow, cause it's not getting clear what you did. It sounds like you can use the MVVM framework feature to help you for that.
when user clicks on Add button, then a pop up button will be opened with certain form elements (like textinput, date field, text area).. When i used 'TAB' inside this form,it is not working. I found in couple of Questions / forums that we need to create an instance of FocusManager and then bring/activate focus for the pop up. But still i didn't see the tab working inside the form. In order to tab order working inside a pop up, what steps we need to follow.
I tried using focusmanager and property like tabfocusenabled, tabenabled and also added taborder inside each form element. But no luck.
Iam using Flash Builder 4.5 and using spark components for development.
Is there any workaround for this problem?

Finally the issue has been solved by one of my colleague. Problem is , the form has been loaded inside Horizontal accordion (flexlib HACCORDION). So inorder to draw focus inside the accordion to child elements, we need to add 'hasFocusableChildren="true"' for the HAccordion (horizontal accordion component). Adding this property solves the tab order problem.

Attached is the screenshot of the UI that I would like to have in my app. When I click on the listitems on the fragment on the left side I see a arrow pointing(question mark in red) on the list item which was clicked, I would like to know how can we achieve this in UI layout. Any special settings to be set?
I was looking at the same feature.
To implement similar, I'd suggest showing an image on the selected item in the list, this would require code rather than Layout XML, It would be controlled by the list fragment when an item is selected. That way you get the visual effect that the two fragments are related via the arrow image.
Did you end up giving it a go for yourself?
