LinkedIn Access Token Being Used - web-scraping

I've successfully secured my access token for the LinkedIn API. However, when I try to use it to gather user information (currently just my own so I know that the profile has all public settings) using this code:
requestURL = 'https://api.linkedin.com/v2/people/(id:{my_linkedin_id})'
headers = {'Authorization': 'Bearer' + ' ' + access_token}
a = requests.get(requestURL,headers=headers)
could someone elaborate on any steps I might be messing?
When I run this code I keep getting a
<Response [404]>

You have 404 as response and in LinkedIn documentation you can see that:
404 Resource Not Found
This error occurs when your application tries to call an API or fetch
an entity that does not exist. For example, the API to get a friend’s
profile is /v2/people/id={personId}, not /v2/person/id={personId}. In
some cases (Ads, for example), a 404 error is returned when attempting
to access a restricted API. See 403 Access Denied and contact your
partner technical support channel if you continue to see the error.
I think you need too check if your link to resource is good.

Getting different errors when try to run report for GA4 with regular account

I am trying to run a simple report on GA4 by using Google Analytics Data API Python client with a regular user credentials:
request = RunReportRequest(
property=f"properties/11111",
dimensions=[Dimension(name=f['name']) for f in report_definition['dimensions']],
metrics=[Metric(name=f['expression']) for f in report_definition['metrics']],
date_ranges=[DateRange(start_date=date, end_date=date)],
)
response = client.run_report(request)
And the client is BetaAnalyticsDataClient as also mentioned in the documentation:
credentials = Credentials(
token=None,
refresh_token=config['refresh_token'],
client_id=config['client_id'],
client_secret=config['client_secret'],
token_uri="https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/token",
scopes=["https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly"]
)
client = BetaAnalyticsDataClient(credentials=credentials)
It is not a Service Account so I am using google.oauth2.credentials.Credentials class as same in other Google APIs.
However, this operation is throwing an exception during the run_report function:
grpc._channel._InactiveRpcError: <_InactiveRpcError of RPC that terminated with:
status = StatusCode.UNAVAILABLE
details = "Getting metadata from plugin failed with error: ('invalid_grant: Bad Request', {'error': 'invalid_grant', 'error_description': 'Bad Request'})"
debug_error_string = "UNKNOWN:Error received from peer analyticsdata.googleapis.com:443 {created_time:"2023-01-14T14:12:10.907813+03:00", grpc_status:14, grpc_message:"Getting metadata from plugin failed with error: (\'invalid_grant: Bad Request\', {\'error\': \'invalid_grant\', \'error_description\': \'Bad Request\'})"}"
>
And when I try to use my access token in the credentials:
credentials = Credentials(
token=config["token"],
refresh_token=config['refresh_token'],
client_id=config['client_id'],
client_secret=config['client_secret'],
token_uri="https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/token",
scopes=["https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly"]
)
This time I am getting following error:
google.api_core.exceptions.Unauthenticated: 401 Request had invalid authentication credentials. Expected OAuth 2 access token, login cookie or other valid authentication credential. See https://developers.google.com/identity/sign-in/web/devconsole-project.
I am sure that my credentials is correct since I am using same account in my other repos.
Also, note that, I tried same operation with a service account and it does not give any error. However, for this purpose, I need to use a regular developer account since the OAuth flow is on a frontend project.
What are the suggestions on that issue? Is it possible to use a developer account in here and if yes, how?
I was able to fix the issue. The app just needs a sign-out sign-in (or refreshing the access token).

Got These credentials do not authorize access from nokia here api getlinkinfo

I'm performing the following call:
http://route.st.nlp.nokia.com/routing/7.2/getlinkinfo.json?app_id=APP_ID&waypoint=LATITUDE%2CLONGITUDE&app_code=APP_CODE
it always worked until yesterday, when I started getting http 403 error with the following json error message:
{
"response":{
"_type":"ns2:RoutingServiceErrorType",
"type":"SystemError",
"subtype":"SystemError",
"details":"These credentials do not authorize access. Please contact your customer representative or submit a request here https://developer.here.com/contact-us to upgrade your account. You can also get valid credentials by registering for a free trial license on https://developer.here.com.",
"metaInfo":{
"timestamp":"2017-11-08T10:48:02Z",
"mapVersion":"8.30.76.154",
"moduleVersion":"7.2.201744-2851",
"interfaceVersion":"2.6.34"
}
}
}
I checked my account but it's a Public Basic Plan one so there is no expiration or restriction on the api I'm calling.
Domains with nokia.com aren't supported anymore. You need to change the domain name to the actual one.

RStudio & RGoogleAnalytics giving Error: redirect_uri_mismatch

I am trying to connect to google analytics from R through Analytics API. Following is my code.
library(RGoogleAnalytics)
oauth_token <- Auth(client.id = "clientID", client.secret = "clientSecret")
When I run above command it gives me following error in browser
Error: redirect_uri_mismatch
The redirect URI in the request, http://localhost:1410/, does not match the ones authorized for the OAuth client.
I have following settings in google developer console
Authorised JavaScript origins : http://localhost:1410
Authorised redirect URIs: http://localhost:8080/oauth2callback
Please help.
You will need to update your redirect URIs to the same port.
http://localhost:1410/oauth2callback
If that does not work, create a new client secret json file. Use "other" as the application type;

I have registered app_id and app_key giving me this "error"Unauthorized","error_description":"Unauthorized. Th

for HERE REST api I have registered app_id and app_key and appended them in url but it is giving me this "error"Unauthorized","error_description":"Unauthorized. The request is not from an authorized source "
Also, the FAQs page mentions the following:
How do I generate an app_id and app_code for my application?
To generate an app_id and app_code for an application, you need to
sign in then go to https://developer.here.com/plans to select and
register for the appropriate plan.
At the final step in the registration process, an app_id and app_code
is automatically generated for your application.
Please note, it can take up to an hour for a new app_id to be whitelisted against all services.
So if you had just created your credentials when you got this error, you may want to try again.
Looking back at the error I received when I attempted to access the API, however, I got the following response:
{"details":"invalid credentials for I5zJljd5cZyOx5SyROKT","additionalData":[],"type":"PermissionError","subtype":"InvalidCredentials"}
So it may be that Jason's comment above is more appropriate but I'll leave this answer for other users who may come searching after creating new credentials.
A good way to check your credentials would be to make a valid URL call to any of the REST APIs - e.g. the Geocoder API: https://geocoder.cit.api.here.com/6.2/geocode.json?searchtext=London&app_id={YO‌UR_APP_ID}&app_code={YOUR_APP_CODE} - it gives an error response for an invalid pair.
As mentioned in the answer : Need separate credentials for WSE API? - you may need to request additional access for the HERE Platform extensions
selfservesupport#here.com here is the support. Describe ur problem and attach an snapshot where you get error at what request. (URL)

Get refresh token google api

I can't get my refresh token with my code. I can only get my access token, token type etc.,
I have followed some tutorials like putting access_type=offline on my login URL:
echo "<a href='https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/auth?"
. "access_type=offline&client_id=123345555.apps.googleusercontent.com& "
. "scope=https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar+https://www.googleapis.com/auth/plus.me&response_type=code& "
. "redirect_uri=http://www.sample.com/sample.php&state=/profile'>Google</a>";
and my fields in getting the access token:
$fields=array(
'code'=> urlencode($authcode),
'client_id'=> urlencode($clientid),
'client_secret'=> urlencode($clientsecret),
'redirect_uri'=> urlencode($redirecturi),
'grant_type'=> 'authorization_code',
);
but I can't get refresh_token, just the access_token, token_type, id_token and expires_in.
Found out by adding this to your url parameters
approval_prompt=force
Update:
Use access_type=offline&prompt=consent instead.
approval_prompt=force no longer works
https://github.com/googleapis/oauth2client/issues/453
If I may expand on user987361's answer:
From the offline access portion of the OAuth2.0 docs:
When your application receives a refresh token, it is
important to store that refresh token for future use. If your
application loses the refresh token, it will have to re-prompt the
user for consent before obtaining another refresh token. If you need
to re-prompt the user for consent, include the approval_prompt
parameter in the authorization code request, and set the value to
force.
So, when you have already granted access, subsequent requests for a grant_type of authorization_code will not return the refresh_token, even if access_type was set to offline in the query string of the consent page.
As stated in the quote above, in order to obtain a new refresh_token after already receiving one, you will need to send your user back through the prompt, which you can do by setting approval_prompt to force.
Cheers,
PS This change was announced in a blog post as well.
It is access_type=offline that you want.
This will return the refresh token the first time the user authorises the app. Subsequent calls do not force you to re-approve the app (approval_prompt=force).
See further detail:
https://developers.google.com/accounts/docs/OAuth2WebServer#offline
This is complete code in PHP using google official SDK
$client = new Google_Client();
## some need parameter
$client->setApplicationName('your application name');
$client->setClientId('****************');
$client->setClientSecret('************');
$client->setRedirectUri('http://your.website.tld/complete/url2redirect');
$client->setScopes('https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email');
## these two lines is important to get refresh token from google api
$client->setAccessType('offline');
$client->setApprovalPrompt('force'); # this line is important when you revoke permission from your app, it will prompt google approval dialogue box forcefully to user to grant offline access
For our app we had to use both these parameters access_type=offline&prompt=consent.
approval_prompt=force did not work for us
Hi I followed following steps and I had been able to get the refresh token.
Authorization flow has two steps.
Is to obtain the authorization code using https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/auth? URL.
For that a post request is sent providing following parameters. 'scope=' + SCOPE + '&client_id=' + CLIENTID + '&redirect_uri=' + REDIRECT + '&response_type=' + TYPE + '&access_type=offline' Providing above will receive a authorization code.
Retrieving AcessToken and RefreshToken using https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/token? URL.
For that a post request is sent providing following parameters.
"code" : code,
"client_id" : CID,
"client_secret" : CSECRET,
"redirect_uri" : REDIRECT,
"grant_type" : "authorization_code",
So in your first attempt once you authorize the permissions you will be able to get the Refresh token. Subsequent attempts will not provide the refresh token. If you want the token again the revoke the access in you application.
Hope this will help someone cheers :)
OAuth has two scenarios in real mode.
The normal and default style of access is called online.
In some cases, your application may need to access a Google API when the user is not present,It's offline scenarios .
a refresh token is obtained in offline scenarios during the first authorization code exchange.
So you can get refersh_token is some scenarios ,not all.
you can have the content in https://developers.google.com/identity/protocols/OAuth2WebServer#offline
.
Since March 2016, use prompt=consent to regenerate Google API refresh token.
As mentioned in https://github.com/googleapis/oauth2client/issues/453,
approval_prompt=force has been replaced with prompt=none|consent|select_account
For those using the Google API Client Library for PHP and seeking offline access and refresh tokens beware as of the time of this writing the docs are showing incorrect examples.
currently it's showing:
$client = new Google_Client();
$client->setAuthConfig('client_secret.json');
$client->addScope(Google_Service_Drive::DRIVE_METADATA_READONLY);
$client->setRedirectUri('http://' . $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] . '/oauth2callback.php');
// offline access will give you both an access and refresh token so that
// your app can refresh the access token without user interaction.
$client->setAccessType('offline');
// Using "consent" ensures that your application always receives a refresh token.
// If you are not using offline access, you can omit this.
$client->setApprovalPrompt("consent");
$client->setIncludeGrantedScopes(true); // incremental auth
source: https://developers.google.com/identity/protocols/OAuth2WebServer#offline
All of this works great - except ONE piece
$client->setApprovalPrompt("consent");
After a bit of reasoning I changed this line to the following and EVERYTHING WORKED
$client->setPrompt("consent");
It makes sense since using the HTTP requests it was changed from approval_prompt=force to prompt=consent. So changing the setter method from setApprovalPrompt to setPrompt follows natural convention - BUT IT'S NOT IN THE DOCS!!! That I found at least.
