I have been trying to read the official docs and guides about how to send message from one device to another. I have saved registration token of both devices in the Real Time Database, thus I have the registration token of another device.
I have tried the following way to send the message

Update:
My question was to ask whether device to device messaging without using any separate server other than firebase could messaging is possible or not, if yes than how, since there's no documentation about it. I do not understand what is left to explain here? Anyways I got the answer and will update it as an answer once the question gets reopened.
Firebase has two features to send messages to devices:
the Notifications panel in your Firebase Console allows you to send notifications to specific devices, groups of users, or topics that users subscribed to.
by calling Firebase Cloud Messaging API, you can send messages with whatever targeting strategy you prefer. Calling the FCM API requires access to your Server key, which you should never expose on client devices. That's why you should always run such code on an app server.
The Firebase documentation shows this visually:
Sending messages from one device directly to another device is not supported through the Firebase Cloud Messaging client-side SDKs.

Ok, so the answer by Frank was correct that Firebase does not natively support device to device messaging. However there's one loophole in that. The Firebase server doesn't identify whether you have send the request from an actual server or are you doing it from your device.
So all you have to do is send a Post Request to Firebase's messaging server along with the Server Key. Just keep this in mind that the server key is not supposed to be on the device, but there's no other option if you want device-to-device messaging using Firebase Messaging.

I hope Firebase will come with a better solution in future. But till then, I think this is the only way. The other way would be to send topic message or group messaging. But that was not in the scope of the question.

The JSONArray is defined like this -

regIds is a String array of registration ids, you want to send this message to. Keep in mind that the registration ids must always be in an array, even if you want it to send to a single recipient.
I have also been using direct device to device gcm messaging in my prototype. It has been working very well. We dont have any server. We exchange GCM reg id using sms/text and then communicate using GCM after that. I am putting here code related to GCM handling

If you want to send message to topics so you can change parameter instanceIdToken to something like /topics/topicName.
For groups implementation is the same but you just need to take care of parameters. checkout Firebase documentation and you can pass those parameters.

I have this scenario: Xamarin.Forms App connected with Web Api 2. I make all requests and get the data i want. Now when the session token expires, i need to refresh the token but don't logout the user. The user don't need to know when token is refreshed. How to organize this, add in every request if statement when i send it and check if token expires.

It really depends on what libraries are you using on your project.
But let's say you're using plain c# to handled your HTTP calls.

I can recommend you looking at Polly
It's a great library with a lot of features. You can use the Retry policy to handled expired tokens:

What this does is that Polly will try to execute your normal HTTP call and in case it fails and the cause is specified in Handle, then a retry mechanism is fired that will try to refresh the token and then retry your request. In the end, in case the token cannot be refreshed, you sign out the user. Of course, all this can be customized, check Polly's documentation is pretty well written.
Please note that inside Handle<T> you must put the right exception. I just used Exception as a placeholder since I'm not sure what Exception is thrown in your case.
Then you would call your method with this policy:

How to Refresh a token using IHttpClientFactory
Basically you can intercept every HTTP call made via a HttpClient and refresh/add a token to your requests.
Note that that answer does not obligate you to use IHttpClientFactory, it also works for a simple HttpClient.
Also a little bit off-topic. You might want to look up for libraries to handle htt calls such as Retrofit. It will really reduce the amount of boilerplate code.
I am trying to build a client side of making requests. So i do not know how i pass parameters on GetAsync method. The same problem on PostAsJsonAsync method.

GetAsync without parameters works fine. When i run the project i get the error "JsonReaderException: Input string '100.0' is not a valid integer"
Is there another option to pass arguments on url?
I changed the int type of that integer property to float and the problem solved.
I am facing a rather simple situation but I cannot wrap my head around it. Maybe the OkHttp gurus could light my path.
I am using Picasso, Retrofit and OkHttp for multiple purposes on my android app. yay!. As I read properly, the developer should make an effort in keeping on OkHttpClient (as read here ).
With the approach in mind, I want any of my HTTP calls (be it an API call, an Image loading, a resource download) to :
Send the request
If HTTP401 is received, then Send another HTTP Request that sends a token back
When that token is received, the call is re-emitted with that token included in the headers
Any subsequent call (be it an API, a resource or image call) should use that token until the next HTTP401 is received (invalid token).
Of course, I would reuse the same client for Retrofit and Picasso.
One route I am considering is to use a mix of Authenticator and an application Interceptor. Authenticator should catch HTTP401, but can I make it make another sync request in the meantime, store the token and activate the new interceptor ?
Looks like I found the solution myself to that problem so let's share the knowledge to everyone.
In order to this, OkHttp already gives all the necessary hooks.
Make sure to use Authenticator
Install an interceptor once the authenticator succeed
Return a request with the good token.
This also imply that the Authenticator handles an HTTP to set your token back (done in another android service).

I'm using Web API to stream large files to clients, but I'd like to log if the download was successful or not. That is, if the server sent the entire content of the file.
Is there some way to get a a callback or event when the HttpResponseMessage completes sending data?

I am not sure if there is direct signaling that all is ok, but you can use a trick to find out that the connection is exist just before you end it up, and right after you fully send the file.
For example the Response.IsClientConnected is return true if the client is still connected, so you can check something like:

This might sound very simplistic but you will know if an exception is raised - if you care about server delivering and not client cancelling halfway. IsClientConnected is based on ASP.NET HttpResponse not the WebApi.
