What is the 'criticality' attribute in SimplePagedResultsControl in python-ldap? - python-ldap

I'm using python-ldap for pagination of LDAP search.
I found many similar references online and all of them set:
page_control = SimplePagedResultsControl(True, size={some_size}, cookie='')
For example: https://medium.com/#alpolishchuk/pagination-of-ldap-search-results-with-python-ldap-845de60b90d2
I checked python-ldap's documentation and couldn't find a useful explanation:
https://www.python-ldap.org/en/latest/reference/ldap-controls.html#ldap.controls.libldap.SimplePagedResultsControl

I found my answer: https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc2696
If the server does not support pagedResultsControl,
the server MUST return an error of unsupportedCriticalExtension if the client
requested it as critical, otherwise the server SHOULD ignore the control.

LocustIO: How to do batch request

I started to use LocustIO for load testing a 3rd party API which provides a way to do batch requests (http://docs.oasis-open.org/odata/odata/v4.01/odata-v4.01-part1-protocol.html#sec_BatchRequests).
How can this be done using LocustIO?
I tried with the following:
def batch(self):
response = self.client.request(method="POST", url="/$batch", auth=("ABC", "DEF"), headers={"ContentType": "multipart/mixed; boundary=batch_36522ad7-fc75-4b56-8c71-56071383e77b"}, data="Content-Type: application/http\nContent-Transfer-Encoding: binary\n\nGET putyoururlhere HTTP/1.1\nAccept: application/json\n\n\n")
Auth is something I need to have authentication to the API, but that's not the point of the question and "putyoururlhere" should be replaced with the actual url. Either way, it gives errors when executing the test, so I must be doing something wrong.
People with experience how to do this?
Kind regards!
The data parameter should be your POST body (only), you cant put additional headers in it the way you did. You probably just want to add them as additional entries in the dict you pass as headers
Se the documentation for python requests library for more details. https://requests.readthedocs.io/en/master/

Why the parameter TransitRadius in HERE Routing API with public transport do not change the response

Trying to use the parameter TransitRaduis in the routing API of HERE. It works well with 'car mode' but when using it with 'public transport' it seems to me that it changes nothing !
So setting one waypoint with the following three differents ways, gives the same result !
&waypoint0=geo!37.7914050,-122.3987030
&waypoint0=geo!37.7914050,-122.3987030;50
&waypoint0=geo!37.7914050,-122.3987030;500
To request a public transport route using the CalculateRoute service you need to specify a departure time as
https://route.api.here.com/routing/7.2/calculateroute.json?app_id={YOUR_APP_ID}&app_code={YOUR_APP_CODE}&waypoint0=geo!52.530,13.326&waypoint1=geo!52.513,13.407&departure=now&mode=fastest;publicTransport&combineChange=true
For further details kindly go through the documentation
https://developer.here.com/documentation/routing/topics/request-public-transport-routes.html
Good Luck !

Evernote IOS SDK fetchResourceByHashWith throws exception

Working with Evernote IOS SDK 3.0
I would like to retrieve a specific resource from note using
fetchResourceByHashWith
This is how I am using it. Just for this example, to be 100% sure about the hash being correct I first download the note with a single resource using fetchNote and then request this resource using its unique hash using fetchResourceByHashWith (hash looks correct when I print it)
ENSession.shared.primaryNoteStore()?.fetchNote(withGuid: guid, includingContent: true, resourceOptions: ENResourceFetchOption.includeData, completion: { note, error in
if error != nil {
print(error)
seal.reject(error!)
} else {
let hash = note?.resources[0].data.bodyHash
ENSession.shared.primaryNoteStore()?.fetchResourceByHashWith(guid: guid, contentHash: hash, options: ENResourceFetchOption.includeData, completion: { res, error in
if error != nil {
print(error)
seal.reject(error!)
} else {
print("works")
seal.fulfill(res!)
}})
}
})
Call to fetchResourceByHashWith fails with
Optional(Error Domain=ENErrorDomain Code=0 "Unknown error" UserInfo={EDAMErrorCode=0, NSLocalizedDescription=Unknown error})
The equivalent setup works on Android SDK.
Everything else works so far in IOS SDK (chunkSync, auth, getting notebooks etc.. so this is not an issue with auth tokens)
would be great to know if this is an sdk bug or I am still doing something wrong.
Thanks
This is a bug in the SDK's "EDAM" Thrift client stub code. First the analysis and then your workarounds.
Evernote's underlying API transport uses a Thrift protocol with a documented schema. The SDK framework includes a layer of autogenerated stub code that is supposed to marshal input and output params correctly for each request and response. You are invoking the underlying getResourceByHash API method on the note store, which is defined per the docs to accept a string type for the contentHash argument. But it turns out the client is sending the hash value as a purely binary field. The service is failing to parse the request, so you're seeing a generic error on the client. This could reflect evolution in the API definition, but more likely this has always been broken in the iOS SDK (getResourceByHash probably doesn't see a lot of usage). If you dig into the more recent Python version of the SDK, or indeed also the Java/Android version, you can see a different pattern for this method: it says it's going to write a string-type field, and then actually emits a binary one. Weirdly, this works. And if you hack up the iOS SDK to do the same thing, it will work, too.
Workarounds:
Best advice is to report the bug and just avoid this method on the note store. You can get resource data in different ways: First of all, you actually got all the data you needed in the response to your fetchNote call, i.e. let resourceData = note?.resources[0].data.body and you're good! You can also pull individual resources by their own guid (not their hash), using fetchResource (use note?.resources[0].guid as the param). Of course, you may really want to use the access-by-hash pattern. In that case...
You can hack in the correct protocol behavior. In the SDK files, which you'll need to build as part of your project, find the ObjC file called ENTProtocol.m. Find the method +sendMessage:toProtocol:withArguments.
It has one line like this:
[outProtocol writeFieldBeginWithName:field.name type:field.type fieldID:field.index];
Replace that line with:
[outProtocol writeFieldBeginWithName:field.name type:(field.type == TType_BINARY ? TType_STRING : field.type) fieldID:field.index];
Rebuild the project and you should find that your code snippet works as expected. This is a massive hack however and although I don't think any other note store methods will be impacted adversely by it, it's possible that other internal user store or other calls will suddenly start acting funny. Also you'd have to maintain the hack through updates. Probably better to report the bug and don't use the method until Evernote publishes a proper fix.

Log in to website using Jsoup

I'm trying to scrap a webpage for data but came across the problem of needing to log in.
Connection.Response loginForm = Jsoup.connect("http://www.rapidnyc.net/users/google_login")
.method(Connection.Method.GET)
.execute();
Document document = Jsoup.connect("http://www.rapidnyc.net/users/google_login")
.data("Email", "testEmail")
.data("Passwd", "testPass")
.... //other form data
.cookies(loginForm.cookies())
.post();
This gives me the org.jsoup.HttpStatusException: HTTP error fetching URL. Status=400
I used chrome developer tool to look at the Form data being posted but nothing I post works.
1. Have you submitted ALL input fields? Including HIDDEN ones.
2. I see the website requires "captcha-box" authentication, which is to prevent web crawlers from logging in. I highly doubt you will be able to log in with your program.
I say the 400 status is coming from your program not being able to provide the value for "captcha" authentication.

Meteor: Match error: Failed Match.OneOf or Match.Optional validation (websocket)

I have a website that uses Meteor 0.9. I have deployed this website on OpenShift (http://www.truthpecker.com).
The problem I'm experiencing is that when I go to a path on my site (/discover), then sometimes (though not always), the data needed are not fetched by Meteor. Instead I get the following errors:
On the client side:
WebSocket connection to 'ws://www.truthpecker.com/sockjs/796/3tfowlag/websocket' failed: Error during WebSocket handshake: Unexpected response code: 400
And on the server side:
Exception from sub rD8cj6FGa6bpTDivh Error: Match error: Failed Match.OneOf or Match.Optional validation

Can anyone help me to eliminate this error and get the site working? I'd be very grateful!
Tony
P.S.: I never got this error using localhost.
EDIT:
The line causing the problem the problem is this (line 41):
return Activities.find({user: id}, {sort: {timeStamp: -1}, limit:40});
One document in the activities collection looks like this:
{
"user" : "ZJrgYm34rR92zg6z7",
"type" : "editArg",
"debId" : "wtziFDS4bB3CCkNLo",
"argId" : "YAnjh2Pu6QESzHQLH",
"timeStamp" : ISODate("2014-09-12T22:10:29.586Z"),
"_id" : "sEDDreehonp67haDg"
}
When I run the query done in line 41 in mongo shell, I get the following error:
error: { "$err" : "Unsupported projection option: timeStamp", "code" : 13097 }
I don't really why this is though. Can you help me there as well? Thank you.
Make sure that you are passing an integer to skip and limit. Use parseInt() if need be.
You have a document on your website that does not match your check validation.
The validation you have is in app/server/publications.js:41
So the attribute in question exists in some way like Match.optional(Match.oneOf(xx)) but the document's attribute is neither of the values in Match.oneOf
You would have to go through your documents for the collection causing this and remove or correct the attribute causing this to match your check statement.
Update for your updated question.
You're running Meteor commands in the meteor mongo/mongo shell. The error you get is unrelated to the problem in Meteor, to sort in the mongo shell you would do activities.find(..).sort(), instead of activities.find(.., { sort : {..}). This is unrelated to the issue
The issue is most-likely that your id is not actually a string. Its supposed to be sEDDreehonp67haDg for the document you're looking for. You might want to use the debugger to see what it actually is.
I don't think you can use limit in client-side find queries. Removing limit from my query solves the problem. If you're looking for pagination, then you can either manually roll your own by passing a parameter to your Activities publication so that the limit is added to the server-side query along with an offset. There is also this pagination package.
