Can Not Open Google or Google Capthcas - networking

I can't enter "www.google.com" from my desktop on any browser. It always says "Error code 118 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT)".
But I can enter if I write www.google.com.tr (I'm from Turkey) or if I use VPN. Due to this reason, I can't open gmail too.
This also causes google captchas not opening too. Because of that I can't login into some web sites.
This isn't happening on my phone or tablet, they are all normal. So it's not a problem of my modem.
I have tried flushing dns with outher command prompt commands, uninstalling virus protection, turning off windows defender completely, using other dns etc.
I have tried pinging "google.com" and it works. But I can't ping "www.google.com". It again throws timeout error.
I don't want to reset my windows just for this.
Any ideas?

Found the fix. If anyone having similar issue, check this out:
My hosts file was containing "216.58.208.164 www.google.com" line. I deleted it and reset my ethernet adapter. After that, I'm able to enter google and open captchas.

Have you tried clearing cache and cookies? or closing every tab except the one you are using and uninstalling extensions that aren't needed, maybe it's a memory issue as it is simply timing out
edit: found this from google support that may help

How do I resolve an "Arg_NullReferenceException" error when trying to connect through CheckPoint VPN?

I use CheckPoint VPN to log in to my place of work's servers to work remotely. The VPN has been working (mostly) fine all year, and I haven't changed any of the settings, but this morning, when I tried to log in, it's giving me the "Arg_NullReferenceException." I can't seem to find anything on this particular error on google.
I have tried restarting my computer, because it's not the first issue I've had with CheckPoint VPN (though it is the first time I've seen that error message), and a restart usually resolves whatever issue I'm having. I've also tried creating a new connection with the same settings, but I'm getting the same error with that one, too.
I'm not entirely sure what other information I would need to provide. I'm also not sure if it's a problem on my end, or on the company servers. I have already emailed tech support, but I thought I should be thorough.
This is a known issue. I have been jumping through hoops trying to get the capsule client to work. Raise a ticket with TAC if you have support. If not then you can download the E86 Endpoint connect client and run it. That has been my work around for this issue.
They just issued an update to the Capsule via the Microsoft Store. It seems one of the recent Windows Security Update broke the L2TP protocol within windows.

400 Bad Request - Network Specific

I get a 400 Bad Request error when trying to load medium.com. This only happens on my home network (if I take my laptop outside my network on turn off wifi on my phone, the site loads). I have cleared my cache, cookies, and browsing history on every device, restarted every device, and restarted my modem, to no avail. I searched this site for answers, but all the questions asked seem to be related to development, and at the moment, I'm just trying to load a page. How can I fix this? Thanks!

I Cannot Connect to my NAS

Our home network consists of two laptops, two tablets, two mobile phones, a printer and a NAS for backups. All running off a wireless router that provides the IP addresses.
Suddenly, about three days ago, I can no longer connect to the NAS. The message I get says "Error code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found." This happens on my laptop only; my wife's laptop doesn't have a problem. I've also checked and the printer works from my laptop.
The probable cause (but unproven) was when I made some changes to protect me from the Wannacry ransomware. I received messages from both Malwarebytes and Avast telling me to do the same thing. That was to go into the advanced settings of Windows Firewall and add two inbound rules. I don't remember the exact details but one rule affected TCP and one affected UDP (I'm somewhat out of my depth here.)
It was after this that I first saw the problem, so first I disabled the rules and then deleted them, but that made no difference. I've tried switching off Windows Firewall but that makes no difference either. I've researched the problem via Google and found some advice to reset TCP/IP settings. I did that via the command prompt, but that didn't work either.
Any other suggestions that don't involve a hard re-install or throwing the whole damn thing out the window?
"error code 0x80070035 network path was not found"
it can be on Windows Vista and Windows 7 Computers.
You can solve your problem like this:
"START" > "CONTROL PANEL" > "DEVICE MANAGER" > "NETWORK ADAPTERS"
Then click on "VIEW", and select "SHOW HIDDEN DEVICES".
In the expanded view you will see a long list of numbered "MICROSOFT 6to4 ADAPTER". Right click "DELETE" on all but 1 of them. When you have only 1 left, restart computer.
"error code 0x80070035 network path was not found"
I had the same error with several PCs in my network. I could not open shared folders of these PCs with the computer name. It was ok when I write the IP address.
Finally I just deselected TCP/IPv6 checkbox on the connection properties and its all ok.

Chrome/Firefox extension to kill network communication?

So I'm building a web app, and I want to emulate a network failure in browser to see if the client side javascript handles it gracefully. I know I can just disconnect my network connection, but that also disconnects my email, pandora, skype, all things that are marginally vital to my non-productivity. Is there an easy way to kill network communication for just one tab in either of these browser? Or (I'm in linux) can I block a single pid from network communication while still allowing the rest (even if it's the same program) through?
Edit: Shoot, I just realized that I'm working on localhost, and that may not apply for what I'm asking for.
Does menu file -> work without connection works for you? It should be in the firefox menu.
You could always use invalid proxy settings! I recall some plugins that let you easily change proxy profiles so you could even have a profile for "dead proxy" and enable ot whenever you want no Internet.
Turns out there are more sophisticated options: a dedicated site blocker for Chrome. That way you could still use other sites that help your non-productivity while still blocking the desired one!

How to find where a connection is failing

I have a website running a basic ASP.NET application that is mostly used from a single location, which is my client's office. The server is at a high-class datacenter.
Whenever I've been testing or using my application from outside their office I have consistently good connections but from their office the connection seems inconsistent. Sometimes requests just don't seem to make it to the server from the browser. I'm not familiar with the network hardware in the office, but they do have a T1 connection which should always be on.
I've tried ping and tracert and everything looks normal. When running Firebug during a failed request the request shows up in the log, then just sits there without showing it is sending any data, eventually it times out.
My question is, what tools can I use to diagnose this connection problem and start to narrow it down to a specific cause so I can fix it? Its an intermittent problem so a long running tool would probably make more sense, if there is any available.
Thanks for any help.
All of your standard ping and traceroute tools are probably your best bet. I'm not understanding though, where is the site located?
If you open command prompt, run ping -t aspwebsiteurl.domain <- will show if there is packet loss.
From command prompt again, tracert aspwebsiteurl.domain <- will show you what route the packet is taking to get the site. May also show you if there is one particular hop that is giving you the hickup.
Is there a proxy between the office and the datacenter that could be causing issues?
Also you could try Wireshark to try to debug the problem in more detail.
Speed Test - Internet Network Connection Speed may be of some help with some links to test out the connection at the client's office to see how well it works.
Another question is how far away is the client and the datacenter? If one is in New York and the other in Los Angeles then the distance apart may be a factor. Also, have you examined any possible DNS issues?
