I'm on step 6 database setup on the installation tutorial and I've been encountering this error.
Error 1045 (28000): Access Denied for user 'acore'#'localhost (using password: YES)
Insert mysql user:
So this happens after I run bash apps/db_assembler/db_assembler.sh in the root of my folder as per told to. I've checked over everything to make sure the mysql user is acore and password to acore by default. I'm not changing it as this is only gonna be a LAN server, therefore there is no need to.
However I get this error so I enter
insert mysql user:acore
then it asks for my pass
insert mysql pass:
I try to enter it but it won't let me as shown in pic 1, I then press enter getting the error shown in pic 2
Command Ran: bash apps/db_assembler/db_assembler.sh
Important Info: OS: Windows 10 Home Edition, MySQL version 5.6.

Your SQL server must have user "acore" and you must grant access to "auth", "characters" and "wold" tadabases for this user.
If it is correct, check access to SQL servrer's port at firewall.

I upgraded my mariadb from 10.1 to 10.9 pointing to same data directory (checked ownership of files also). But when I try to access the mysql instance with existing users from different hosts (which used to work before upgrade), I get:
mysql --host <hostname> --port <port> -uusername -p<pwd>
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'username'#'ip' (using password: YES)
I tried flushing privileges & reloading mysql but nothing worked.
When I see the user * db information in mysql.user & mysql.db tables, everything is same pre & post upgrade.
Though I am able to remotely access mysql using root user. But other user don't work.
Also there are some users which are created as a part of init script (used in --init-file={} while starting up mariadb), I am not able to access using those users also. Only root user is working.
Please help what can be the problem.
Thanks In advance.
I want to do a remote shutdown using a batch file and access is always denied (5) using just the shutdown command.
If I type:
Net Use \wtp-iba password /user:user
CMD always returns the user name or password that is incorrect.
However, if I type:
Net Use \wtp-iba
and hit enter CMD prompts me for the user name and then password the connection is successful and I can use the shutdown command.
I have tried many things I have read and none has worked.
Help, please!
I have tried for hours to get around this.
I can confirm the database is running, the tables are there, the user 'acore' is created, the password is set correctly and the user has permissions to the acore_auth, world and characters tables, yet no matter what I do, the db_assembler.sh script refuses to run, claiming that the user acore has been denied access.

Resolved:
A prior step in the instructions refers to copying the config.sh file from /azerothcore/conf/dist to /azerothcore/conf and amending it as needed for any SQL information different from the default (I was using port 3308 instead of port 3306). I did that and amended the new config.sh file however the db_assembler.sh script was still looking at the config.sh file in the /azerothcore/conf/dist directory (which had the default settings of 3306).
When I amended THAT file, the import worked perfectly.
I'm hoping that someone can help me here. With Centos 7 all the install docs I have found said to use MariaDB instead of mysql which is fine, but I can't seem to enable remote access.I have used the "GRANT ALL ON . to user#'address' IDENTIFIED BY 'your-root-password';" and flushed privileges and restarted the service. I still am not able to connect via remote terminal I get ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user username.
So I found another article that said I should go to my my.cnf file and make sure my bind settings are set correctly and such.
https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb/documentation/getting-started/configuring-mariadb-for-remote-client-access/
Based on what this article shows my my.cnf file is completely different than what it should be. Doesn't contain bind-address or skip-networking or port or anything. It looks like the below.
[mysqld]
datadir=/var/lib/mysql
socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
# Disabling symbolic-links is recommended to prevent assorted security risks
symbolic-links=0
# Settings user and group are ignored when systemd is used.
# If you need to run mysqld under a different user or group,
# customize your systemd unit file for mariadb according to the
# instructions in http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Systemd
[mysqld_safe]
log-error=/var/log/mariadb/mariadb.log
pid-file=/var/run/mariadb/mariadb.pid
#
# include all files from the config directory
#
!includedir /etc/my.cnf.d
I was wondering if anyone else might know what's going on with this. Thanks.
You may want to investigate this link:
http://www.versatilewebsolutions.com/blog/2015/05/dealing-with-mariadb-plugin-unixsocket-is-not-loaded.html
Essentially, MariaDB switched to unix_socket authentication as a default authentication plugin. To get around it, connect to your MariaDB server and execute these queries:
USE mysql;
UPDATE user SET plugin='' WHERE User = 'root';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
exit
This will disable socket authentication and switch back to standard authentication. I do not think this is recommended for production.
I have set Data Source(ODBC) for running ASP Site in my local Computer selected Microsoft Access Driver.
Now I can run the whole site with out error.But If i apply leave then it will show an error.

Thank you very much for your support.
It is solved..
4 possible causes are highlighted here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/175168
I am guessing it's #1:
The most common reason is that the Internet Guest account (IUSR_MACHINE), which is by default part of the "Everyone" group, does not have Write permissions on the database file (.mdb). To fix this problem, use the Security tab in Explorer to adjust the properties for this file so that the Internet Guest account has the correct permissions.
First error (which seems like you solved) has to do with write permissions on the database..
The updated question ,though, seem to be completely unrelated..
You seem to be trying to send an email, right ? and it says it failed..
Perhaps the SMTP service is not running and so it cannot send the email ? could it be a wrong IP address defined somewhere ? wrong credentials for the email accounts ? (read http://host.cdesystems.com/faq/jmail_faq.asp for possible problem)
give some code about the configuration you do to the jmail ..
