Is there a video size limitation for local files in the Google Cloud Video Intelligence API? - video-intelligence-api

I am thinking about integrating the Google Video Intelligence API for automatic labeling of my videos. If possible I do not want to use Google Cloud Storage for this issue.
Is there a limitation of video file size when making requests for locally stored files?
I already found the page metioning the limit size of 10GB (see https://cloud.google.com/video-intelligence/quotas). Yet, I am wondering if this holds for local files or if there is a difference like e.g. in the Google Speech-to-Text API where longer audio durations are possible if the file is stored on Cloud Storage (see https://cloud.google.com/speech-to-text/quotas).

High Google Firebase Storage Cost for saving and downloading .mp4 files?

I'm saving videos to Firebase Storage and creating a URL for it which I saving into Cloud Firestore. So when ever someone watch a video I call the URL and Firebase downloads it. That increased my project costs enormously.
The question that I have is, is there a way to save the mp4 files cheaper?
And maybe also make it faster to download?
The best solution will be if I can like I used before. So in the new solution, also use the download URL which I saved in cloud Firestore. So that I don't need change too much. My Project is using Flutter in client side.
I created a mobile app, where user can upload videos for example like Instagram or TikTok.
I'm willing to pay if you freelancer and can help.
You can use Youtube or Vimeo to store your videos for free (Vimeo is limited to 500mb).
Then you can use a package from pub.dev to display these videos.
YouTube package (does not support to download the file, only playback)
Vimeo package (max 500mb, then you have to pay)
So both have their advantages and disadvantages.
It is possible to upload videos to YouTube using Google API. There is an example done using flutter which can be ideal for your use-case. Have a look at this video on youtube.

Is it weird idea to use youtube instead of firebase storage service for my app's video cloud storage?

I'm now using Spark Plan of Firebase which is totally free. And recently getting my app involved with videos, I found that bandwidth is getting too high near my free plan's limitation, which means I need to pay for larger plan when i release my app to market. Then this idea popped up. I know that paying for cloud storage is normal and good idea for the service, but using youtube and embedding that youtube link into app ui doesn't sound impossible. Then it would be free..! Additionally, i found weird official presentation by Google: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2OG1w6bGFo&feature=youtu.be&t=2060
How do you think of using youtube as free cloud storage for our app? Is it just weird and semi-wrong idea?
It's not very efficient storage and bandwidth wise, and it’s possible there might be a number of issues with the video quality messing up the data. It’s also possible that Youtube will flag you for unusual upload patterns.

Downloading files from Firebase (like FTP)

I've essentially been using firebase for storage and my last computer got wiped, and I'm trying to download all the sites files that I've been hosting on firebase. I can't figure out how to do this and the answers I've found seem overcomplicated.
There is no built-in FTP console for Google Cloud Storage. But you can use the Firebase API to get your files from it.
Also see FTP to Google Storage for an example FTP server that a developer made on top of Google Cloud Storage.

Does firebase storage automatically scan for infected files?

I tried googling but I can only find information about Google drive scanning files with file size less than 25MB. Does firebase storage do the same? I'm planning to build an app and want to ensure that users don't upload infected files. I'm checking if I have to implement virus scanning myself.
Cloud Storage isn't concerned with, and will not change the contents of, the data you put in it. You do, however, have an obligation to honor the Google Cloud terms of service.
If you want to scan the files for whatever reason, you have to do that yourself.

Is it possible to stream large video files on any internet speed while using the media library of wordpress

I'm currently building my portfolio with wordpress, and I have large video files (each between 2.5gb and 5gb) to display. Youtube and vimeo compress quite a lot the videos, and I'm trying to find an alternative to these website.
I want to use the media library to display the projects, but I wonder if the files will be watchable. Because of their size, I have the fear that the videos will load every 10sec. Am I right, or videos that weight 5gb will run without issue ?
Most good quality internet video delivery services, including YouTube and Vimeo will actually create multiple different bit rate versions of your video and then server the highest quality they can depending on the device watching the video and the current network conditions - you can see more info and how to see it in action here:
https://stackoverflow.com/a/42365034/334402
At the moment this is the 'state of the art' in the industry for delivery best quality video reliably - you don't have to use YouTube or Vimeo as other hosting services exist or you can even run your own streaming server using something like Wowza or GStreamer. It is worth being aware that this domain is complex and ever changing so you may find it easier to use some hosting service.
