In BizTalk application we are configuring a WCF-ORACLEDB send port adapter to call Stored proc. In the portbinding file we have set useAmbientTransaction” = False but in the sendport this value in the binding coming as true. This is happening one specific environment. Other environment its coming as false as mentioned in the port binding file.

Because this value coming as true we are getting some oracle connection error.
Please advise why this value override to true only one specific environment.
I could name numerous things that could be wrong, but for issues like this it's best to start all over again, so:
Remove the ports on all the servers you are trying to deploy to.
Create the send port again from scratch on your dev machine.
Export the bindings.
Remove the send port on the dev machine.
Test it on your dev machine by importing the bindings.
Now test it on the machine where you had issues.
If the issue still persists, try setting the value manually in the Admin console, does the value stay on True? (this is the default value i think) Maybe there aren't enough permissions for you to change the value.

I’m trying to set up a very simple BAM scenario within BizTalk Server 2013R2 upon which to build, involving tracking just the time of all incoming messages processed by a port.
To this end I have :
Within Excel, created an Activity Definition (called
SimpleReceiveTest) containing a single Item called ReceiveTime of
type milestone (date/time), and a View Definition (also called
SimpleReceiveTest) containing just this Activity Definition and Item.
Imported this BAM definition spreadsheet using bm.exe
Added view rights to SimpleReceiveTest again using bm.exe
Launched the Tracking Profile Editor, imported the BAM Activity
Definition, and mapped ActivityID = MessageID and ReceiveTime =
PortStartTime by drag and drop from the Messaging Property Schema, as
shown below :
Set the Port Mappings for MessageID and PortStartTime to relate to a
test Receive Port ReceivePort1 that I am using for testing. This is
using a pass-through pipeline.
Saved and applied the above Tracking Profile
It is my understanding that for any messages received on port ReceivePort1 I should now get a tracking activity created. However this is not happening – there are no records in any of the BAM tables/views and no data is available within the BAM Portal.
I have tried restarting the hosts, and have verified that the TDDS_FailedTrackingData table is empty, there is nothing relevant in the event log, a Tracking host is running and the SQL Agent Jobs are running. I have also tried running these jobs manually.
Have I missed something, and am I correct in my expectation that this simple scenario should create tracked activities for any messages passing through the Receive Port? If so what can I try to further diagnose this?
Now fixed - it's actually a bug in vanilla BizTalk 2013R2 when using a standard pipeline that has been fixed in CU2.

I've gotten pretty far into a deployment of my Meteor application on Distelli. Like, almost there. I've done everything as far as setting up the EC2 box, creating a user group [which didn't even seem necessary as I was able to SSH into the box with full rights without specifying my machine's IP], creating an elastic IP, successful build, and deployment to that box. But, I can't seem to check if Meteor is actually running (note: when I ssh in, there are active instances of Mongo and Node, so SOMETHING is running).
The problem has something to do with associating the elastic IP with my ROOT_URL and domain. I'm just not sure what to do at this step and can't seem to find any directions that are Meteor specific. Been using these guides:

Recap: Distelli deployment is a success, but I get the follow error just before finishing:

I've set my ROOT_URL to my domain, and associated according to the previous guide. I can run traceroute on the IP, but like port 3000, so my inclination is the Meteor build is silently failing.

I've noticed that when I point the CNAME record to my ec2 public DNS, NameCheap (aptly named) adds a . to the end of the record. Beyond that, I'm pretty much stumped.
On a RedHat 6 server, a third party application requires to be root to run and needs access to sqlplus. I have a running database, I can run sqlplus as user 'oracle'. When logged in as user root, 'sqlplus usr/pwd#dbname' works as expected. The trouble is that this agent needs to run sqlplus with no parameters and it always returns ORA-12546: TNS:permission denied.
I've read a dozen times that enabling root to launch Oracle is a security issue but I really have no other choice.
Running Oracle 11.2.0.1.0.
Any help will be much appreciated as I've googled for 2 days with no success.
From the documentation, ORA_12546 is:
ORA-12546: TNS:permission denied
Cause: User has insufficient privileges to perform the requested operation.
Action: Acquire necessary privileges and try again.
Which isn't entirely helpful, but various forum and blog posts (way too many to link to, Googling for the error shows a lot of similar advice) mention permissions on a particular part of the installation, $ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle, which is a crucial and central part of most of the services.
Normally the permissions on that file would be -rws-r-s--x, with the file owned by oracle:dba, and this error can occur when the word-writable flag - the final x in that pattern - is not set. Anyone in the dba group will still be able to execute it, but those outside will not.
Your listener seems to be fine as you can connect remotely, by specifying #dbname in the connect string. The listener runs as oracle (usually, could be grid with HA, RAC or ASM) so it is in the dba group and can happily hand-off connections to an instance of the oracle executable.
When you connect without going via the listener, you have to be able to execute that file yourself. It appears that root cannot execute it (or possibly some other file, but this is usually the culprit, apparently), which implies the world-writable bit is indeed not set.
As far as I can see you have three options:
set the world-writable bit, with chmod o+x $ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle; but that opens up the permissions for everyone, and presumably they've been restricted for a reason;
add root to the dba group, via usermod or in the /etc/group; which potentially weakens security as well;
use SQL*Net even when you don't specify #dbname in the connect string, by adding export TWO_TASK=dbname to the root environment.
You said you don't have this problem on another server, and that the file permissions are the same; in which case root might be in the dba group on that box. But I think the third option seems the simplest and safest. There is a fourth option I suppose, to install a separate instant client, but you'd have to set TWO_TASK anyway and go over SQL*Net, and you've already ruled that out.
I won't dwell on whether it's a good idea to run sqlplus (or indeed the application that needs it) as root, but will just mention that you'd could potentially have a script or function called sqlplus that switches to a less privileged account via su to run the real executable, and that might be transparent to the application. Unless you switch to the oracle account though, which is also not a good idea, you'd have the same permission issue and options.
I am trying to deploy Biztalk project to my local Biztalk Server using Biztalk Deployment Framework and i am getting the following error:

I've already had host named 'ReceiveHost', so i decided that theres something wrong with Trust level. I tried to deploy with trust level 'Trusted' and recieved the same error.
Can't figure out what is causing the problem.

According to the error, in your binding file, the ApprovedRequestsDb receive location is configured to use a host (receive handler) called ReceiveHost, which is untrusted, which BizTalk cannot find.
Double-check the spelling of the host on the local BizTalk server into which you are importing the binding file. Also make sure that it is untrusted.
Finally, the host must be configured as a handler for the adapter used by your receive location. So if your receive location should use the WCF-SQL adapter, then go to the adapter configuration in the BizTalk Administration Console and ensure that the ReceiveHost is configured as a receive handler for that adapter.
Check you have a host for this install, in your case called "ReceiveHost". You can create hosts and host instances in BizTalk Server Admin Console.
Check for each adapter (especially the adapter used for "ApprovedRequestsDb") that your bindings use, that "ReceiveHost" host is set up in direction Send/Receive, this will at first likely be only BizTalkServerApplication which is the default. Under Platform Settings -> Adapters look through these and make new ones where needed to use the "SQL" host.
This error will only ocur if your HostName does not exist or incorrectly spelt. Also check the Trust level is set to Untrusted. Once you have verified the following you can re-create your binding file as ther might be some typo that is causing it not to import properly.
Our site is currently having this problem. Basically it only happen when we click some particular links where it will pop-up a new window.

I have set the registry stated in the error message to 1, but still not working.
Start–> Administrative Tools –> Services
Right-click on the ASP.NET State Service and click “start”
Additionally you could set the service to automatic so that it will work after a reboot
If you need to change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\aspnet_state\Parameters\AllowRemoteConnection to 1, remember to restart the ASP.net state service after you change the parameter.
Check that:
stateConnectionString="tcpip=server:port"
is correct. Also please check that default port (42424) is available and your system does not have a firewall that is blocking the port on your system
Type Services.msc in run panel of windows run window. It will list all the windows services in our system. Now we need to start Asp .net State service as show in the image.
Your issue will get resolved.
One of my clients was facing the same issue. Following steps are taken to fix this.
(1) Open Run.
(2) Type Services.msc
(3) Select ASP.NET State Service
(4) Right Click and Start it.
Another thing to check is whether you have Windows Firewall enabled, since that might be blocking port 42424.
I've had the same issue when some ASP.NET installation was corrupted. In that case they suggest running aspnet_regiis -i -enable
I've found that some developers will for some reason define the server's private IP outside of IIS in an unexpected location, like a nonstandard config file (i.e. not web.config) or a text file. This can cause internal operation to fail even when the service is started, ports aren't being blocked, reg keys are correct, etc.
Kaseya, in particular, places a file called serveripinternal.txt in the root IIS directory of the VSA server. I've seen the text of your error when somebody running their own Kaseya instance changed the server's internal IP. The server will be reachable, IIS will respond, and the login page will come up - but login will fail with the cited message.

I recently ran into this issue and none of the solutions proposed fixed it. The issue turned out to be an excessive use of datasets stored in the session. There was a flaw in the code that results in the session size to increase 10x.
