error 404 tomcat server:The requested resource is not available - spring-mvc

I'm using tomcat server version 9.0 in IntelliJ Idea IDE. When I run the application, the server cannot show jsp pages, I don't know what the problem is.
I'm trying to create simple spring MVC project. My war file builds successfully, and it started on tomcat without errors.
But, when I do call some service, for example http://localhost:8086/appWeb/, it gives the give error:
type Status report message description The requested resource is not available.

Application is not able to find out the requested resource basically tells that you do not have any mapping which matches the requested URL.
Try to put slash in request mapping url like below.

I am trying to deploy a web app developped with spring mvc, hibernate and MySQL, I am trying to deploy it to tomcat 8. I copied the war file (bureau.war) of the app in the folder webapps when the tomcat started, the folder "bureau" is created, but, once i try to connect to the app URL : http://localhost/bureau/index, I get this error : The requested URL /bureau/index was not found on this server.

Spring web fragments and java config

I created a simple spring-mvc web app (one controller), and simple spring jar (containing one controller).
I utilized servlet 3 spec using web fragments, what I came across was that, if I was using spring xml configuration (as per the example spring-mvc project created in STS), the controller in the jar was not being called or hit when I entered the url, but if I used java config it worked fine.
And all my java config did was import the xml and set the scanning... I'm really curious as to why this was, anyone got any ideas?
Java config:
#EnableWebMvc
#Configuration
#ComponentScan(basePackages = { "com.webapp.test" })
#ImportResource({"classpath:webapp-context.xml"})
public class TestConfig extends WebMvcConfigurerAdapter
{

Action url not calling method action name in Spring MVC

Dear friends,
I tried to execute Spring MVC form Example web project.
When I was try to hit the url with action name corresponding view is not calling
but If try to call url with view name(/viewname.html) its getting displayed.
I have seen lot of example and am wonder why my code is not calling based on
action name.
My Sample code:
Controller:
#Controller
#RequestMapping("/test")
public class TestController {
#RequestMapping(value="/login",method = RequestMethod.GET)
public String login(ModelMap model){
model.addAttribute("message","Welcome Jagan");
return "login";
}
}
spring-servlet.xml:
my servlet config file
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:p="http://www.springframework.org/schema/p"

<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>spring</servlet-name>

</servlet-mapping>
</web-app>
login.jsp:
having some welcome content
If I try to hit the following url
http://localhost:8082/SpringMVCWithJSP/test/login => not invoking login page.
ttp://localhost:8082/SpringMVCWithJSP/test/login.html => successfully invoking login page .
My question is why the login action name not invoking directly login.jsp and instead it calling only with .../test/login.html and not by .../test/login
Any idea to resolve this friends?
In you web.xml you have this Servlet Mapping
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>spring</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>*.html</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
which means the servlet will respond only to those URL calls that end in .html. So there is nothing to resolve. It is working as expected
Note that if you simply leave the mapping as * you will be forcing the servlet to handle all requests (which may or may not be what you want). This is not recommended as you typically would have static files (such as CSS, JS, PNG, etc) that you do not want to have to process by the servlet (it will slow your server
down)
