I'm trying to run a web based application on an embedded hardware using QT Web browser using qws eglfs frame buffer. I'm trying to include tslib for the touchscreen to work properly but couldn't figure out how to add the tslib plugin in qt web browser. Facing an issue saying that no plugin detected. Any idea on how to solve this?
P.S: There is no X11 server. It's just on frame buffer.
First, make sure its installed.
You then can define
export QT_QPA_EGLFS_TSLIB=1
or start the app with
/path/to/app - plugin tslib

I developed a mobile app using CN1's BLE library. The BLE api did not work after I've added the library that I've downloaded from https://github.com/chen-fishbein/bluetoothle-codenameone, however, I solved this issue by adding the library using CN1's settings/extensions UI instead of manually copying the downloaded libs after I've found the EvSunWoodard's comment here Codenameone Bluetooth APIs not working on android.
CN1 recently updated and I'm stuck with the same problem after I've added the BLE extension using the new and old settings UI. When I try to call any bluetooth method, the app does not respond and does not catch any exeptions - it simply does nothing. I've noticed that the new settings UI adds a new java package to the impl/stubs library that did not use to be there before the update, I've tried removing this package, as the bluetooth.class file is still there, but this did not have any affect.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get the BLE library working again?

It is a couple of commits ahead of the fork you used. It should work for you.
However, it is the same version that you'll get by simply downloading it through Codename One preferences.
I have a reMarkable tablet , which I mostly love except for the lack of linux support (surprising given it is a linux-based OS). However, I've managed to find a version of a linux application that is now unofficial. This github is actually a Qt docker app, but if you look in the code for the 'Dockerfile' you can find where to download the app, which is apparently still on the server even though there's not a link from the main web page. Anyway, I downloaded it and got it mostly working, figuring out a few dependencies based on same Dockerfile code. But, I can't seem to get file dialogs to work, which is the main reason for using the app.
The error I get is:
ERROR: No native FileDialog implementation available.
Qt Labs Platform requires Qt Widgets on this setup.
Add 'QT += widgets' to .pro and create QApplication in main().
I'm not a Qt developer, so I'm lost. I'd love to get this to work. Thanks.
In the .pro file of you project you should add this line QT += widgets
or just add widgets to the line with QT += ...
Qt can use native file dialogs on some platforms, and will fall back to its own implementation if none is available. But that requires that the application is built including the QtWidgets module, and using a QApplication.
If you don't have the source code of the app and a possiblity to rebuild it, there's no chance to fix this from a binary
i installed Qt 5.4.1 x64 on LUbuntu and created an app which uses the new QtWebEngine.
I`m trying to display a html5 page with that component which is using the tag.
All works fine except if I try to playback a mp4 video. The video area remains black. It works if I use other video types like webm/ogg as source.
I know this is due to license restrictions, so that mp4 is deactivated by default in Ubuntu/Linux for Qt.
What is needed in Qt to activate it to allow mp4 playback and on what do I have pay attention in case of license terms (I read that statically linking the library is allowed?) ?
I`ve already tried to copy over the x64 distribution of libffmpegsuo.so which is included in Chrome (2,2Mb) over to the Qt directory to /plugins/webengine/ and replaced that one that was already there (1,1 Mb) but it had no effect.
In Chrome playback works fine btw.

You can explicitly enable proprietary codecs (H264, MP3) when compiling Qt WebEngine:
In /path-to-qt-src-dir/qtwebengine execute:
qmake WEBENGINE_CONFIG+=use_proprietary_codecs
You should be able to see in the output that H264 codec is enabled, which is not the default configuration.
I would like to create and app using Qt which will use custom files. The app will be available on Windows, OS X and Linux.
The idea is to have a custom icon for my file type (e.g. when you install Adobe's Master Collection, .as, .fla, .ps, etc. files have they own icons).
As far as I know Qt only helps you with app icon. I did not find any kind of support for this kind of problem.
This seems to be an OS problem. Do I need to create scripts to run on app install? (I will be using Bitrock's install builder to provide installers)
How can I achive this behaviour on all OSs?
I have a project which is using Qt 4.7.4 version (also I can't rebuild it using qt4.8 or qt5 – there are a lot of errors appears, project is big and not mine so fixing issues would be even harder than erasing the whole code and write new code). So I need to make this project, well, working on NativeClient.
Is it even possible? I use Windows and Visual Studio, I was trying to google instructions about qt+nacl on Windows but just can’t find nothing.
Also which pepper version should I use if it depends on it?
