Adaptive figure size in rmarkdown - r

I have built an automatic report in RMarkdown. The problem is that images in this report can have varying size and therefore the relative size of the element inside changes based on the number of items in the axis:
(ok in this case the two images are totally different but it is just to show what I mean)
Is there a way to fix only some parameters, like resolution, or just one dimension, let the other dimension to vary according to the elements in order to keep the element size fixed?
Thanks

I have problems setting height for the chart, I want to set the plot height of all charts equally, how to do it?

pls check link. I want to set the plot height of all charts equally, how to do it?

You can find the highest value of the height among all charts and based on the found value, modify the rest. I have modified your example a little bit by adding a function (look for the updatePlotHeights function between script tags, HTML tab) that performs a simple calculation that makes all charts' heights equal. Also I have decreased charts' widths in order for you to display them horizontally to compare them.

How to handle Orientation (Landscape or Portrait ) in ListView using Xamarin Forms

I am using ItemTemplate ( that is ViewCell ). I got know about the Orientation article in Xamarin documentation but there is no point about handling ListView orientation.
Hope to get the answer

As you can see from your screenshots, this is not an orientation problem, your listview IS the full width in both cases, what is quite possibly wrong are your layout options.
Can you show us your item template definition?
You are using a grid inside the ViewCell?
In that case, first make sure the grid's horizontal options are set to FillAndExpand, then check the grid column size definition.
Can you also show us the grid's column size definitions?
If they all have fixed sizes assigned, then they will always be that size, no matter how much unsued space there is.
There are 2 ways to make them use more space.
If possible, you should use the "star" sizes. This is where you give your columns sizes as portions of the available space.
If you give your first column the size 1*
and the second column size 1*
they will both take exactly half of the available width.
You can use any other numbers to select portions, such as three columns with sizes 5* 3* 1*
Which would make your first column 5 times as big as the third, and the second column would be 3 times as big as the third.
Again, in total, they will take the entire available width.
The second column sizing option is to use "Auto" sized columns, which will size the columns according to the elements inside them. Whatever size the largest element inside that column (in any of the rows) takes, that is the size that column will have.
To take the whole screen width in this case, at least one of the columns content should have "AndExpand" on it's horizontal options.
This is somewhat easier as it will automatically size the columns and you just take care of populating them properly with content, but be wary as this approach is significantly slower.
Finally, if you experience performance issues, consider implementing the ViewCell with an AbsoluteLayout. It can be a bit more pain to set up, but should work faster than grid if you have a bunch of rows inside the list view and a bunch of data in each row.

Layout fails to adjust screen size in Qt

I am trying to make a GUI similar to the layout in Image attached.
The problem starts when I add the three frames besides the stacked widget.
Frame one contains some labels for status.
Frame two contains some buttons and two sliders.
Frame three contains a tab widget.
I am adding suitable layouts at every stage. The layout fails to adjust to screen size and the window goes outside the limited size. I tried setting maximum size for the frames and stacked widget but the problem stays.
Can some one tell me if I am missing out on something.
Thank You
You should to understand, what is Layout is. And especially Layout stretching. Have you seen it?

Flex: Auto-resize contents of a group to fit a printed page

I have a large Group which contains two rulers and labels for distances, and a varied amount of smaller groups consisting of images and labels. Now my task is to print the large group on a page with a header and a footer. The large group extends outside the edge of the page and pushes the footer off the page. If I was printing just the Group, I could use
printJob.addObject(myView, FlexPrintJobScaleType.SHOW_ALL);
to fit it all on one page, but that would scale the header and footer as well, which I don't want - I'll be printing more pages and want the header and footer sizes to stay the same.
Is there a way to scale only the group and its contents automatically before printing?
arkward... you'd probably have to scale the group before adding it to your print job, which means you are doing to have to do lots of calculations about resolutions, DPIs, etc
The property to change is http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform//reference/actionscript/3/mx/core/UIComponent.html#scaleY
but working out what to scale by is a much harder job.

Problems when printing a SWF in browser

I'm trying to print a SWF and have come across some problems.
When using the Print function in the browser, the SWF will be distorted, and not scaled correctly. So I've tried to implement a Print function using Actionscript instead.
The different approaches I've taken are:
Printing using the right click context menu of the Flash Player and choose Print. This works almost as expected, but It flattens transparent PNGs and isn't scaled correctly.
Creating a FlexPrintJob and adding the component to the job. Will not scale the component to fit the page, even though I've set FlexPrintJobScaleType.SHOW_ALL on the print job.
Creating a PrintView containing an Image. Then taking a screenshot of the component and set this as the Image in the PrintView. When this is done, I create a new FlexPrintJob and send it. This seems to work most of the times, but the scaling will distort and make small elements (like text) look really bad.
The code for printing looks like this:
var pj:FlexPrintJob = new FlexPrintJob();
if (pj.start())
{
pj.addObject(componentToBePrinted, FlexPrintJobScaleType.SHOW_ALL);
pj.send();
}
What I would like to do is to get the right click context menu to work, and by that I mean setting the scaling of the SWF. Is this possible? Are there any other alternatives when printing a SWF? What am I doing wrong?
When testing, I'm printing to a PDF, but I don't think that will change the results.
You need to scale your Print Job for what you want in FlexPrintJobScaleType:
MATCH_WIDTH
(Default) Scales the object to fill
the available page width. If the
resulting object height exceeds the
page height, the output spans multiple
pages.
MATCH_HEIGHT
Scales the object to fill the
available page height. If the
resulting object width exceeds the
page width, the output spans multiple
pages.
SHOW_ALL
Scales the object to fit on a single
page, filling one dimension; that is,
it selects the smaller of the
MATCH_WIDTH or MATCH_HEIGHT scale
types.
FILL_PAGE
Scales the object to fill at least one
page completely; that is, it selects
the larger of the MATCH_WIDTH or
MATCH_HEIGHT scale types.
NONE
Does not scale the output. The printed
page has the same dimensions as the
object on the screen. If the object
height, width, or both dimensions
exceed the page width or height, the
output spans multiple pages.
