What is the equivalent to UIAccessibilityIsVoiceOverRunning();
in xamarin forms ?
I am trying to hide a map if voice over is detected. is this possible?
or is there any way to hide any readable context that comes in the maps
so far, I tried AutomationProperties.IsInAccessibleTree="false" but the reader still identify items in the map that confuses the user.
workaround ->
on ios --
public bool IsVoiceOver()
{
var a = UIAccessibility.IsVoiceOverRunning;
if (!a)
{
Console.WriteLine("voice over is : " + a);
return false;
}
else
{
Console.WriteLine("voice over is : " + a);
return true;
}
}
on forms - >
public interface IVoiceOver
{
bool IsVoiceOver();
}
on the project ->
if (Device.RuntimePlatform == Device.iOS)
{
ShowingUser = true;
var a = Check.IsVoiceOver();
if(a == true)
{
DisplayMap=false;
}

I'm a user HERE sdk Lite edition for android, mainly using the autosuggest search place feature. My application is already running and functioning properly. To this day problems arise so that they don't work. After I checked it turns out that in the SuggestCallback class section it return PARSING_ERROR. Please help
here is SuggestCallback class:
private final SuggestCallback autosuggestCallback = new SuggestCallback() {
#Override
public void onSuggestCompleted(#Nullable SearchError searchError, #Nullable List<Suggestion> list) {
if (searchError != null) {
//Log.d(LOG_TAG, "Autosuggest Error: " + searchError.name());
Toast.makeText(HereMapsActivity.this, "" + searchError.name(), Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
return;
}
for (Suggestion autosuggestResult : list) {
String addressText = "Not a place.";
Place place = autosuggestResult.getPlace();
if (place != null) {
addressText = place.getAddress().addressText;
datatmp.add(new DataListLocation(
addressText,
place.getCoordinates().latitude,
place.getCoordinates().longitude
));
}else{
datatmp = new ArrayList<>();
}
adapterListLocation = new AdapterListLocation(HereMapsActivity.this, datatmp);
lstview.setAdapter(adapterListLocation);
}
progressDialog.dismiss();
}
};
I have app in xamarin form where i am accessing webview for video call. Everything is working fine just i need to know how i can switch back/front camera during call? as when video call start front camera open by default.
Code for initializing video call
function initializeLocalMedia(options, callback) {
if(options) {
options['audio'] = true;
if(options['video'])
options['video'] = true;
} else {
options['audio'] = true;
options['video'] = false;
}
// Get audio/video stream
navigator.getUserMedia(options, function(stream) {
// Set your video displays
window.localStream = stream;
myapp.setMyVideo(window.localStream)
if(callback)
callback();
}, function(err) {
console.log("The following error occurred: " + err.name);
alert('Unable to call ' + err.name)
});
}
Going straight to code then it should look like:
Camera.CameraInfo camInfo = new Camera.CameraInfo ();
for (int i = 0; i < Camera.NumberOfCameras; i++) {
Camera.GetCameraInfo (i, camInfo);
if (camInfo.Facing == CameraFacing.Front){
try {
return Camera.Open(i);
} catch (Exception e) {
// log or something
}
}
}
return null;
What we are doing is iterating over the hardware and then check to match the front camera, if it match then do the things. Same is true for back camera too
I've created a Xamarin app that checks the users current location every couple minutes. My problem is it doesn't work when I minimize the app or the screen locks. Is there a way for me to continue the process while minimized or when the phone is locked?
This function checks to see if the user is at the destination location.
public bool atLocation(decimal currentLat, decimal currentLong, decimal destLat, decimal destLong)
{
decimal GPSLatitudePadding = 0.001M;
decimal GPSLongitudePadding = 0.001M;
var totalLowerLatitude = Convert.ToDecimal((destLat - GPSLatitudePadding).ToString("#.####"));
var totalLowerLongitude = Convert.ToDecimal((destLong + GPSLongitudePadding).ToString("#.####"));
var totalUpperLatitude = Convert.ToDecimal((destLat + GPSLatitudePadding).ToString("#.####"));
var totalUpperLongitude = Convert.ToDecimal((destLong - GPSLongitudePadding).ToString("#.####"));
if ((Convert.ToDecimal(destLat) >= totalLowerLatitude) &&
(Convert.ToDecimal(destLat) <= totalUpperLatitude) &&
(Convert.ToDecimal(destLong) <= totalLowerLongitude) &&
(Convert.ToDecimal(destLong) >= totalUpperLongitude))
{
return true;
}
return false;
}
If the user is at the destination for 2 instances of 2 minutes the process is ended. This is where you could start a new process or update a database.
int intNumberOfTimesFoundAtLocation = 0;
void OnLocationResult(object sender, Android.Locations.Location location)
{
decimal currentLatitude = Convert.ToDecimal(location.Latitude);
decimal currentLongitude = Convert.ToDecimal(location.Longitude);
decimal destLatitude = Convert.ToDecimal(this.dblDestLatitude);
decimal destLongitude = Convert.ToDecimal(this.dblDestLongitude);
var atLocation = locationQ.atLocation(currentLatitude, currentLongitude, destLatitude, destLongitude);
if (ayLocation == true)
{
intNumberOfTimesFoundAtLocation = intNumberOfTimesFoundAtLocation + 1;
if(intNumberOfTimesFoundAtLocation == 2)
{
client.RemoveLocationUpdates(locationCallback);
}
}
}
I call this function to start the process
MyLocationCallback locationCallback;
FusedLocationProviderClient client;
public async void StartLocationUpdatesAsync()
{
// Create a callback that will get the location updates
if (locationCallback == null)
{
locationCallback = new MyLocationCallback();
locationCallback.LocationUpdated += OnLocationResult;
}
// Get the current client
if (client == null)
client = LocationServices.GetFusedLocationProviderClient(this);
try
{
locationRequest = new LocationRequest()
.SetInterval(120000)
.SetFastestInterval(120000)
.SetPriority(LocationRequest.PriorityHighAccuracy);
await client.RequestLocationUpdatesAsync(locationRequest, locationCallback);
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
//Handle exception here if failed to register
}
}
}
class MyLocationCallback : LocationCallback
{
public EventHandler<Android.Locations.Location> LocationUpdated;
public override void OnLocationResult(LocationResult result)
{
base.OnLocationResult(result);
LocationUpdated?.Invoke(this, result.LastLocation);
}
}
Create a foreground service.
Inside service call the following code to start the request updates.
locationLogger = new LocationLogger();
locationLogger.LogInterval = _currentInterval;
locationLogger.StopUpdates();
locationLogger.StartRequestionUpdates();
Check here for the code

We have implemented the QR detection functionality using ZXing.dll in Unity 5.3.4f1 with Vuforia Unity SDK 5.5.9. We have a QR detection script on GameObject which remains active throughout the app and using below mentioned (QRScanner.cs) code ( as mentioned on Unity Zxing QR code scanner integration ).
We are also using Vuforia for image detection (50 image targets) in the same scene where QR detection is expected. The Vuforia plugin is getting enabled / disabled multiple times as per our requirement. Both the image and QR detection is working perfectly for us on Android and iOS devices until the app is in focus. Whenever VuforiaBehaviour gets disabled and enabled, QR detection stops working after that. QRScanner script always receives null data after the app is resumed or AR camera is reloaded. We have tried keeping our QR detection script on AR camera prefab and also tried
qcarBehaviour.RegisterTrackablesUpdatedCallback(OnTrackablesUpdated);
qcarBehaviour.RegisterQCARStartedCallback(OnTrackablesUpdated);
callbacks every time AR camera starts but with no success. The QR detection stops working completely after pausing Vuforia plugin for any reason.
Does anybody have any idea how to fix this issue?

So how can i confirm that there is no issue in my implementation or there is issue from server end.
There are couple of steps you can take to debug this problem:-
There is broadcast and sending notification, using notification hub, option available on azure portal(you can do from VS also from left side server explorer). When you did this there is a log that will show you whether a notifications sent successfully or not.
First just delete all your registrations with notification hub and for very new registration check is your device getting registered with correct tags/channel uri or not(this you cad do from server explorer too)
Make sure you are sending/registering the correct templates that are corresponding to WNS service.
make sure you are using WNS service this different from what is for
WP8 silverlight one.
You can see the errors just at the bottom of this page if any.
There is option for device registrations from where you can alter the registrations.
