I am running cinder client and trying to consume openstack endpoint but when i run cinder show the request are getting redirected to http endpoint and getting aborted
#cinder --version

#cinder show 3988928-79b0-4e2e-90a9-38089af5b46e
ERROR: Unable to establish connection to http://mydomain:8776/v3/35f4380e80074591a9fd746c09e39d5c/volumes/detail?all_tenants=1&marker=6088358b-2905-42a1-aa50-a014c1dc8147: ('Connection aborted.', BadStatusLine("''",))
any idea why this request getting redirected
"cinder" CLI is been depreciated, instead use "openstack" CLI:
openstack volume show 3988928-79b0-4e2e-90a9-38089af5b46e"
If you still want to use "cinder show" for whatever reason, set OS_VOLUME_API_VERSION to 3.50.
export OS_VOLUME_API_VERSION=3.50
cinder show 3988928-79b0-4e2e-90a9-38089af5b46e

Based on the yaml file, I am trying to publish a sample app that has already been launched in Pod via Ingress.
$kubectl apply -f ./overlays/stg/bookinfo-ingress.yaml

Currently, we are trying to setup neutron for our cloud server. Since everyone is new to this, we are struggling a bit. When we entered this command:
openstack network create --share --external \
--provider-physical-network provider \
--provider-network-type flat provider
And it throws this error:
Error while executing command: HttpException: 503, The Keystone service is temporarily unavailable.: 503 Service Unavailable: The server is currently unavailable. Please try again at a later time.
We are following openstack docs guide to a T.
Does anyone know what causes this error and how to fix it?
Thanks.
I fixed it, it was a problem with MariaDB. When we updated it from 10.1 to 10.3, I couldn't access my DB, so when I fixed that error it works now.
We have setup OpenStack using conjure-up on a (Ubuntu LTS server 16.04.3) single machine. All are services are up and running, and successfully I am able to upload images to the glance.
We wanted to save these glance images created by "glance image-create" in remote machine which have nfs server. So we have configured glance-api.conf file as below.
My glance-api.conf looks like this:
[glance_store]
filesystem_store_datadir = /var/lib/glance/images
default_store = file
And in glance controller node, I have mounted
remote machine Ip/home/glance/images/ in this directory path
/var/lib/glance/images
and have mentioned the same mounted directory path inside the glance-api.conf file.
I have created the two sample private network with some ip (192.168.1.0 and 10.221.50.0) but have not created a public network as at this moment I don't want to access this VM instance from outside.
When I am trying to launch the instance from dashboard UI as well as through CLI, I am getting below error.
Error: Failed to perform requested operation on instance "Ubuntu_Hawkbit", the instance has an error status: Please try again later [Error: No valid host was found. There are not enough hosts available.].
Note: I have tried by associating Instance with different private network ,thinking that it may be network IP address issue but facing the same error.
When I check /var/log/nova/nova-compute.log logs, I see below error.

I followed https://www.theurbanpenguin.com/installing-devstack-on-ubuntu-16-04/ tutorial to install devstack(queens release) on my Ubuntu 16.04 server.
After the installation was done I ran the following commands
export OS_USERNAME=admin
export OS_TENANT_NAME=admin
export OS_PASSWORD=<password>
export OS_AUTH_URL=http://server-ip:5000/v2.0
openstack image create --public --disk-format qcow2 --container-format bare --file /home/cse3/ubuntu_images/ubuntu-14.04-server-cloudimg-amd64-disk1.img ubuntu
But whenever I open http://server-ip:5000/v2.0 in my browser I am getting unable to connect error.
When I create an image from the command line I get the following message
Failed to discover available identity versions when contacting http://server-ip:5000/v2.0. Attempting to parse version from URL.
Unable to establish connection to http://server-ip:5000/v2.0/tokens: HTTPConnectionPool(host='server-ip', port=5000): Max retries exceeded with url: /v2.0/tokens (Caused by NewConnectionError('<urllib3.connection.HTTPConnection object at 0x7f84ebecabd0>: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 111] Connection refused',))
Can anyone suggest what steps need to be followed to remove this error?
After installing the Devstack, you should be able to view the OpenStack dashboard at http://server-ip if the server-ip is a public IP. The AUTH_URL is for you to authorize the API when you are using the SDK or the client library. And this is actually how the dashboard (Horizon) works with the Keystone identity service.
If the server_ip is not a public IP, you need to set up a proxy port in your server and your browser.
It's because the identity API changed from
export OS_AUTH_URL=http://server-ip:5000/v2.0
to
export OS_AUTH_URL=http://server-ip/identity
You can get more from the OpenStack Doc
Check your httpd is running
systemctl status httpd
If it is exited or not started .
Enable the httpd
systemctk s
I have previously been able to successfully deploy my static site. Now it hangs and tells me I need to re-authenticate, even though I appear to be authenticated.
$ firebase -V
3.9.0
$ firebase login
Already logged in as <>
$ firebase deploy
⚠ Your CLI authentication needs to be updated to take advantage of new features.
⚠ Please run firebase login --reauth
Other firebase commands just hang. I tried
$ firebase list --debug
and it hangs on
>>> HTTP REQUEST GET https://admin.firebase.com/v1/projects
Until eventually I get

Any ideas?
Turns out it was a networking/firewall issue blocking access on port 443.
