Can My Employer Track Incognito Searches on My Own Laptop When Logged into Their VPN? - vpn

So I'm freaking out a little bit. I logged into my work computer through the company VPN to check in on a project. I ran a script and I was tooling around outside of the remote desktop on my own browser. I had an incognito window open and did a search for a NSFW site. The search came up empty. I thought "that's weird" and entered in a URL. I got a "not safe to advance" alert and then I realized what was happening. All of my traffic was now going through the work VPN. I logged off immediately.
I know incognito searches don't protect me from higher level admins from viewing my browsing history. My question is, will they think I made these searches from my work computer, or will the IT people be able to see what happened? I just started this job a month ago, so I'm a little worried.

Firebase sign in with email link Suspicious/Dangerous

I have decided to switch my customer base over to email link sign in with Firebase rather than Google/Email/Apple that I was previously doing.
I got everything set up, tested, and all was working well. Since I have now released customer wide I am starting to run into issues.
Some customers, including gmail users are getting a Suspicious email alert due to having a firebaseapp.com link in it. Today, I created a brand new project for a customer and went to log in for the first time, Gmail as all good, but now Chrome is giving me a "Deceptive site ahead" error page saying this website does phishing (the subdomain is about 6 hours old).
Can anyone think of an appropriate solution for this, or will I have to do some URL rewriting?
It is frustrating the firebase URLs are so blacklisted across the internet(I have had to omit storage url links for pictures and make custom emails altogether since the domain is banned by Exchange), I would think this should be much easier than it is being made out to be.
When I first ran into the Gmail issue the only thing Firebase support gave me as a solution is to build my own custom email handler. In following that, I assume I would either need to rewrite the domain after generating the sign in link, which I am a bit hesitant to do in case there are domain changes in the future or I wondered if updating my email template domain will solve the problem. When I started this process I realized I needed to update my DNS records for this. The problem here is that I whitelabel apps and have 150 projects or so and each customer gets their own project. The management of this is really not feasible.
I have dynamic links enabled for all projects and use the projectid.page.link domain for them if there is some way I can get that to work as well.

temporary dns error inet_e_resource_not_found

I wondered if I can pick your brains with a project we have and see if you have maybe experienced this issue?
Basically we have a new site which is on...
https://securetronics.co.uk
temporary dns error inet_e_resource_not_found
http://prntscr.com/kjss65
But for some reason sometimes on chrome and edge it comes up with this error and I have no clue as to what is happening! It is a new one for me and can’t fathom out what could be the cause! I don’t think it is the website and everything I Google is coming up with it saying it’s a browser issue.
It comes on but then vanishes if refreshed and won’t appear for ages, but say like day after etc it comes back?
The problem is that my clients site is an eCommerce site so if any of his potential customers go to the site from the browser and it comes up with that error they are going to be put off instantly!
Any help would be appreciated as I am at a loss here!
Thank you
Chris

Charboost unable to set campaign priorities in admin portal

Recently I was trying to add and configure campaign and its priorities in Charboost admin portal. I created static and video interstitials and navigated to campaign priorities section, As expected, both static and video interstitials showed up. But if I select low to static and high to video placements, after screen reload, both placement priority automatically reset to highest.
It was working fine a month ago..
But recently I saw this bug in all browsers. ..
I just got reply from Chartboost support. They are saying that they fixed this issue.
mail from cb support
Good to hear from you again. Are you still seeing this today? Our
engineers had solved a similar problem yesterday (not exactly what
you're describing), though I'm wondering if you could've possibly been
affected by this.
Are you familiar with the chrome console? If so, could you please open
up the chrome console and click the network tab? With this open, go
ahead and try making the change (make sure to click save), and the
network tab will record the calls that are made or attempted to be
made. A screenshot of this would be incredibly helpful.
I look forward to hearing from you and getting this resolved. Thanks
for the follow-up, and take care.

Wordpress maintenance mode

I'm currently working with a charity who have built a new site in Wordpress. My wordpress knowledge is somewhat lacking. We have a volunteer, who apparently works with wrodpress a lot, doing some SEO work on the site who has installed a number of plugins. We have been receiving a number of complaints from visitors saying to the site that it seems to be in maintenance mode a lot. I don't fully understand how maintenance mode works. Is this something could only be triggered by someone making changes? Is this activity logged in any way? We need to establish if the maintenance mode is being triggered by the volunteer, although he insists it's not him, or by a problem with the site.
Any advice would appreciated?
Wordpress Maintenance
Sometimes, you may have the need to put your website into maintenance mode for upgrades. This would make your website temporarily unavailable to public access. You wouldn’t want errors to pop up when you are running important updates in the background, right?
It is not that only developers can cause this even authors or the people posting posts can cause this issue.

He must have been triggered it unknowingly!
This is not logged in anywhere.

Connection refused and then an autorefresh when accessing site

I have a website that is registered at GoDaddy and is hosted in Dropbox that blinks a Connection refused before connecting to the site (in Chrome) and I cannot figure it out.
I am aware that the site is not accessible by https due to the fact that I had to commit to either http or https in the forwarding with masking (GoDaddy has a dropdown menu, so I cannot simply use the unspecified src=//dl.dropbox.com/blablabla trick and I cannot drop the masking as .htcaccess does not work on Dropbox folders I think —I have asked elsewhere—). But I think this issue is unrelated to that as it should not affect a regular http connection. The problem is, I cannot figure it out.
The paper I submitted for publication got declined at the editorial first step as "the website didn't load" —no unusual browser opened the website that day—, so it is a worse problem that I thought.
I really want to both avoid paying a subscription and avoid ads courtesy of a free webhost, but I am open to suggestions.
This problem was a problem with the GoDaddy redirect and Dropbox when it was unspecified that it was http. https would not work.
However, it seems to have resolved itself, but it is still slow. I have another site on google drive and that runs much faster. So I would recommend that in the first place.
