JetBrains Toolbox recent project not updated - jetbrains-toolbox

I'm using the JetBrains Toolbox App. I do not see that the recent projects tab is updated.
I open PyCharm everyday but it only shows project opened 1 week ago! But if I open PyCharm, it can show recent projects correctly.
How can I solve this problem? Where does Toolbox search for recent projects?

I was having the same problem as well.
The recent projects for IntelliJ are stored under:
mac: ~/Library/Preferences/IntelliJIdea2018.3/options/recentProjects.xml
linux: ~/.IntelliJIdea2018.3/config/options/recentProjects.xml
The recent projects for CLion they are stored under:
mac: ~/Library/Preferences/CLion2018.3/options/recentProjectDirectories.xml
linux: ~/.CLion2018.3/config/options/recentProjectDirectories.xml
After looking at the xml in the recentProjects.xml file, I noticed that only one of the projects from the xml list options was actually shown in the Toolbox App project tab. The reason in my case was because I had set a custom path variable in the IntelliJ settings under Appearance & Behavior -> Path Variable to point to my desktop directory.
The xml for the one project that actually appeared in the Toolbox App was listed as <option value="$USER_HOME$/path/to/project" />. All my other recently opened projects that were not showing up in the Toolbox projects tab were listed as <option value="$desktop$/path/to/file" />.
After removing the desktop variable in IntelliJ's Path Variable settings window all my recent projects showed up in the Toolbox App.
So not sure if you have added any path variables but if you have that is probably what is causing the problem. Either way I would recommend looking at the recentProjects.xml or recentProjectDirectories.xml file. Not sure which one PyCharm uses.

have anyone tried to install prism template pack in Xamarin studio on Mac?

I have tried to install same, but no success. Getting below error.
Could not get information from repository: http://addins.monodevelop.com/Alpha/Mac/6.1.5/main.mrep.
Xamarin studio Version (On Mac )
Version: 6.1.5 (Build 0)
Try manually downloading the .mpack file and add it. You can grab the file from here: http://addins.monodevelop.com/Project/Index/226
Once you have the .mpack downloaded, follow these steps to install it from Xamarin Studio.
Go to the Xamarin Studio -> Add-ins menu
Click the "Install from file..." button on the lower left.
Select the .mpack file you downloaded
Press "Open" to select it
I installed it using the method therealjohn outlined. However, the XS version is not as good as the Visual Studio one (Windows version). In XS, when you create a new PrismContentPage, it only adds the page and wires it up for you. On Windows, it creates the page, wires it up for you, and creates the associated ViewModel in the correct location with the correct base class. In some cases it might register your view and viewmodels with your DI container automatically.

Atom Editor - Open File and treeview works not as expected

I am using ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Atom Editor 1.5.3
If I and click on Open File I want that the dialog window shows the directory of the current file I am working on. However, it always shows the directory Recently Used and I have to click through the folders to get to my project folder. Where can I change this so that the dialog window starts in my project folder?
Also I noticed that the treeview doesnt change if I work on a specific file. So if I have two projects folders called Project 1 and Project 2 and I start with a file from folder Project 1 then I see the treeview of this folder. However, if I open a file from Project 2 and work on this file, the treeview of folder Project 1 remains. How can I make that the treeview always corresponds to the current file I am working on?
As for the first part of your question, this is a bug in atom for the linux version. Someone has suggested a patch but it seems it has not been accepted yet in the main atom version, even if it seems to work (see the discussion). The two commits are here, if you want to try something with them (what would imply something like recompiling atom yourself of course...).
About the second part of the question: I don't think it's possible to let atom switch automatically from a project to another when clicking on a file. But you can use the project manager package, what will allow you to define projects, and to set a root directory for each project and then switch from a project to another manually. The treeview will then fit with the current project.

Can't find web application template in Visual Studio 2015 Community

I have installed Visual Studio Community 2015 (DreamSpark program) on my Windows 10 N 64 bit machine.
But when I want to create a new web project, I can't see anything related to this.
So I launched the setup and watched if the "Web development tools" was checked or not and it was.
I unchecked it, then clicked next so VS Setup uninstalled these tools.
Then I re-launched the setup and checked it to install the "Web development tools" but it does not solve my problem.
I tried uninstalling, clearing all caches, install VS 2015 with another ISO re-downloaded in case that a file was corrupted or whatever, but I still have got this issue.
I tried to install manually Web Application templates using devenv /installVSTemplates -> does not work neither.
I tried to follow this article : http://blogs.msdn.com/b/heaths/archive/2015/07/17/removing-visual-studio-components-left-behind-after-an-uninstall.aspx
in order to remove all components related to VS left after a classic uninstallation but the setup encounters a fatal error..
I really need to work for my studies and I don't know what to do to make it work. I tried everything I've found on the web, tried to clean with CCleaner + manually delete cache folder ect..
But I still can't create a new web project because it just does not appear.
In Nugget Package Manager (inside VS), I can see that the ASP.NET package is installed (forgot the exact name but, this is the package related to what I am looking for) and I can't uninstall it to try a re-installation.
I'm trying to solve my probleme since 2 weeks ago but I still have got this issue.
Sorry for english mistakes.
Best regards,
Just to double check
Go to control panel "Add / remove programs" -> "Visual 2015" -> "Modify" , check that "Web developer tools" checked.
After reinstalling everything should reappear.
If you have already done this try..
(1) Please make sure that it is the latest windows 10 run windows update
(2) Run the command line:
Please check this folder in your system:
/Common7/IDE
You will find projecttemplate and itemtemplate, and you will also find projecttemplatecache and itemtemplatecache which are related to this templates issue, maybe you could remove them, and then run the following commands and see whether it can help you create the item/project templates.
devenv /installvstemplates.
devenv /ResetSettings.
Hopefully this fixes the issues

Please also make sure that you are trying to add this item under a directory which can hold this type of file.
Go to Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE. Rename ProjectTemplatesCache folder and restart Visual Studio

Could not find SDK "SQLite.WinRT" - Add Reference shows "Missing value for TargetPlatformWinMDLocation property"

I'm trying to create a Multi-device hybrid app that uses Typescript, WinJS, and a persistent local database. I've got it working to the point of rendering WinJS controls.
However, when I attempt to add WebSQL functionality according to the instructions for adding a Cordova plugin (go to config.xml file--> under plugins tab, check WebSQL Polyfill), it will no longer compile.
The compiler error is C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\12.0\bin\amd64\Microsoft.Common.CurrentVersion.targets(1886,5): error MSB3774: Could not find SDK "SQLite.WinRT, Version=3.8.2". [C:\Users\Lee\Documents\JSApps\TurnstileTS\TurnstileTS\bld\Debug\platforms\windows8\CordovaApp.jsproj]
I have all the latest versions of the SQLite binaries (both Win8 and Win8.1). I realize that the plugin seems to depend on v3.8.2, so I tried to add the NuGet package using the command line:
install-package SQLitePCL -Version 3.8.2
This installed successfully, but the next set of messages was:
Unable to find a reference to the extension SDK SQLite for Windows Runtime.
Verify that the reference to the extension SDK SQLite for Windows Runtime has already been removed.
Uninstalling 'SQLitePCL 3.8.2.0'.
Successfully uninstalled 'SQLitePCL 3.8.2.0'.
Install failed. Rolling back...
This is driving me crazy. I'm normally a C# person, so I realize this might be something simple... but I can't even add a reference to a dll like some other stackoverflow suggestions state. When I right-click on the project and try to "Add Reference..." I get the error message:
Missing value for TargetPlatformWinMDLocation property.
...then nothing.
Any ideas?
[edit] I have Win8, Win8.1, WP8, WP8.1 version of SQLite 3.8.6 installed. I just tried building a Windows Phone version of the app and it works! However, Windows 8 won't build. I set it to x86 instead of AnyCPU and it doesn't change anything.
There's a very simple fix to this. For Windows 8, you need to have the VSIX packages for SQLite already installed. Please, note which version number you have installed! As of 10/26/14, I have 3.8.7 installed.
From your solution's folder in explorer, navigate to:
{solution folder}\JavaScript\{project name}\bld\Debug\platforms\windows8
Edit the project's jsproj file in a text editor and scroll down until you see the entries for SQLite.
<ItemGroup>
<SDKReference Include="SQLite.WinRT, Version=3.8.7" />
</ItemGroup>
Change the version number in your file to the actual version on your computer. The project will build with the WebSQL plugin enabled and will actually work. (I verified the database file created in local storage.)
NOTE - You must already have enabled the WebSQL plugin in the config.xml menu.

How to map and opening ASP.NET solution file in TFS?

What I"m trying to accomplish is to get the latest solution from TFS Team System Foundation, build and debug it. I can map the solution to my local folder but when I try to open it I have an issue where I can't build and debug it. Here are the steps I"m taking:
Open Visual Studio 2010; Open Team Explorer (using TFS2010) window; Open Source Control Explorer window
Navigate to solution directory example: $/WebSites/English/Development/Source/WebApp
Right Click Map to Local folder
Select folder; click yes to get files and wait for file to be moved to local folder
Open Windows Explorer, navigate to folder with sln file
Double Click sln file to open it
• What I would like to occur is to have solution open; build and debug it
• 7. What occurs is another Get Progress that gets all files again and alters the file structure in Windows Explorer
Then when I attempt to run and debug the solution it doesn’t have all the files. For example in the browser when viewing the site a lot is missing, it’s not rendering correctly.
On a co-workers machine it works just fine.
Why doesn’t the sln file open correctly?
How can I open the solution to build and debug it?
Thank you in advance,
Catto
Ill assume you are doing a get latest version before you do this.
here are some things to check.
First expand the references for all the projects in the solution and make sure they are all correct, the icon will be different for anything missing.
Make sure the web settings are correct, they can be saved in the solution file or not, its an option.
Make sure there are no pre or post build events that are screwing things up
make sure someone didn't flat out forget to add the files to TFS or maybe they didn't check things in yet
if all that doesnt help make sure the versions of your referenced dlls are the same as your coworkers ... and the GAC if its being used
