Only a hard refresh will display the updated WordPress site - wordpress

I cloned a website using the duplicator plugin and made changes to it. When logged in as admin I see the changes but when I use an incognito browser it still shows the cloned version (old version). I can see the changes when I do a hard refresh of the browser, but refreshing again reverts to the old copy. I tried emptying the cache, deleting cookies, deleting cache folder on wp-content but nothing seems to work?
I don't have any caching plugins installed.
The css changes seem to take effect, but the old pages are still loading.
It seems like the pages are somehow cached somewhere.
I had the hosting support check and they updated the A records but it still somehow doesn't fix the issue.

Though this question does not follow guidelines of this forum, but you seem to be freshie. Just check if you are using cache plugin, then disable that for time being unless you follow proper documentation of that plugin and complete know-how about clearing cache.

By any change are you using wp fastest cache or W3 Total Cache plugins.
Please double check you are not using any cache plugins
make sure you dint enabled the cache in wp_config file

Wordpress on Local very slow to see changes

I'm creating a new Wordpress theme on local (XAMPP). When I make changes in the theme folder in the wp-content folder, it takes a LONG time to be able to see these changes reflected on the localhost site. I cleared the cache, restarted xampp and even the computer. Still, sometimes, I can only see the changes the next day. The changes can be as simple as disable some jquery or changing the css. Is there some configuration issue at play? How do I resolve this issue?
If you use any caching plugins try and disable them or purge cache.
Try empty cache and hard reload on your browser.
Try disabling all plugins and see if problem still exists.
Try changing theme and see if problem still exists.

Wordpress: pages are not updating despite emptying caches

I have used the plugin All-in-One WP Migration to get the site from the development environment to the live site (you can export and import a complete website).
Some pages have updated correctly but not all of the pages (they remain in the old style and structure).
I have deleted my browser cache several times (tried several browsers on different computers even), deleted caches created by plugins several times (tried deactivating those plugins as well). However, despite trying to delete all the caches I can think of, some pages are just not updating. As the page templates for these pages do not exist anymore on the server, I am at a complete loss as to what's preventing all the pages from updating correctly.
What am I missing?
May I ask is your site already live? Cause I had the same issue as yours and I manage to get it updated by deleting the cache by "Flush Cache" on my WordPress admin page
Once you logged in to your WordPress admin site you'll find this and click that

I am not so sure why that happens but I am thinking it might be because from the server and might need sometime on updating any changes made. It happened to me also when I have some updates on my site then once I save everything and go to my site, still the old ones are being shown but when I Flush Cache then it shows up the new ones... I think the reason because it still shows up the old ones is probably of the cache from the old ones in the server and by flushing them is being able to show the updated ones.

Wordpress Dashboard broken, displays “flashbacks” of comments/plugins/updates

I’m using the latest version of Wordpress (4.7.4).
I have something very weird going on in my Dashboard. Not sure when this started.
Can’t say for sure it started with the latest version of Wordpress or not.
My Dashboard became completely useless.
It’s like it’s showing me a flashback of a Dashboard from a few days or hours ago:
Comments I’ve deleted in the Dashboard (hitting “trash”) are suddenly back there, awaiting my moderation.
Plugins I’ve deactivated or even deleted are all back there and according to Dashboard still running (while in my FTP folder they’re certainly gone).
The plugin page cannot be trusted anymore as it shows some plugins are activated that aren’t and vice versa. I have to check on my actual website to confirm which ones are running.
Updates aren’t shown correctly. Once I’ve updated a plugin, a few minutes later it shows me again that there’s a new update.
As you can tell it’s all pretty much the same phenomenon.
It’s as if I’m seeing an older version of my Dashboard.
Not sure what else is broken.
The only other thing I noticed is that even on my actual blog I still see a comment. Blog post says “1 comment”, but the actual comment doesn’t show up.
At first, this all sounds like a “cache problem”.
But I’ve already turned off all caching:
No caching plugin installed
Turned off server caching via htaccess
Disabled leverage browser caching
Emptied my own browser cache
Other things I tested:
Turn off all plugins.
Switch to the standard Wordpress theme “Twenty Twelve”
I tried WP_DEBUG, but nothing related shows up.
I researched the internet, but nobody has described a similar problem, so I suppose this is not a common Wordpress issue.
The issue remains.
Unfortunately I’m not a developer and don’t know too much about the Wordpress codex etc.
But to me it sounds that the mistake is definitely not in the plugin or theme folder.
The problem is that I’ve reached the point where I really cannot turn off plugins via Dashboard properly anymore. It’s so annyoing!
My questions are:
Is it safe to assume that this is related to the Wordpress core
files?
What files exactly are in “charge of” the Dashboard?
Should I just try to re-download the newest Wordpress version and replace a few files (if so which ones)?
Should I do a clean Wordpress re-install or would that be too drastic?
Any other suggestions?

Additionally I tried now:
I manually downloaded the newest version of Wordpress and did just as
described on the Wordpress.org website. I manually replaced wp-admin,
wp-include folders and all root files. The issue remains...
The way my Dashboard is right now, I really can’t use it.
Please advice!
I contacted my host service again.
They just gave me the same line to insert into my .htaccess file and I told them I already tried it and it didn't work.
I then showed them my .htaccess file and they deleted the whole part that concerned their server caching.
Now server caching is completely off and everything works again.
Still not sure why this previously never caused issues.
In the end, it had nothing to do with Wordpress.
I hope this answer will help people who run into similar problems.

wordpress wp-login.php?redirect_to wrong path

This is a weird one. I googled for hours but seems to me not a single person has this same issue.
I moved my website from http://www.domain1.com/wpfolder to http://www.domain2.com . Everything works fine except I cannot get the "wp-login.php?redirect_to" path to point to the correct url.
WordPress keeps setting it to:
"wp-login.php?redirect_to=http://www.domain2.com/wpfolder/wp-admin&reauth=1"
It should be setting it to:
"wp-login.php?redirect_to=http://www.domain2.com/wp-admin&reauth=1"
The "wpfolder" doesn't exist anymore..
I followed the instructions exactly on how to move a WordPress website, but the darn URL won't change...
Some forum mentioned changing the "site_url" and "home" from "http://www.domain2.com" to "http://domain2.com". Now I can finally get to the admin panel, but I don't get why it needs to be that way?
I cleaned my browser cookies and checked the wp-content folder for cache already. Nada..
Also the rest of the site is functional.
I would appreciate if anyone can help.
I moved the WordPress website from GoDaddy to Bluehost by copying the files and the database and the problem went away. I am not sure why this fixed it, but assuming it has something do with the cache.
If anybody has more information, I would love to read about it.

I was facing the same issue, with same redirection to one of the sub-directory in which wordpress was installed.
Resolved this issue, by clearing the cache, if some cache plugin is active.
Or by deleting the cache plugin if any present and is currently not yet active.
As some entries made by cache plugin inside wp-config.php file creates the above mentioned problem.
After removing the cache plugin, it resolves the WP-admin URL issues.

Updates to Wordpress theme template/stylesheet are not reflected when a file is edited

I am developing a theme in Wordpress. I have an issue where updates to my stylesheet (style.css) are not being reflected in the browser after FTPing a new version of the file to the server. Edits will only show up in the browser after waiting a long time, (15+ minutes). I have tried all the things mentioned here (edit: now updated to address the issue), which have not worked. These include:
Making sure no caching plugins are installed in Wordpress
Clearing the browser cache
Trying from a different browser
Making sure I am editing and accessing the correct file
Checking webhost configuration panel for a caching plugin
Something seems to be caching the stylesheet but I'm not sure how this might be so.
It turns out that my hosting company (Certified Hosting) uses a webpage caching plugin called Varnish on their shared servers. Unfortunately there is no mention of this in the configuration panel - the only way to disable it for the domain is to submit a support ticket. Once they fixed it on the backend, my changes are now correctly being reflected without having to wait a while as before.
