I was looking for an answer to my problem, but I couldn't find any answer which solves my case.
I have created a custom field via Pods in Wordpress , in which I insert through TinyMCE editor html code . When the generated code contains the word "style" (eg. <span style="text-align:center">) I get 403 forbidden error status after update . When the generated code doesn't contains style, but other html attributes (e.g just <strong> or <center> ) everything works fine. This started to happens since few last days . I have tried to deactivate the plug and use the default WYSIWYG but nothing changed.
Any idea ?

I don't know why my site is not showing 404 page instead giving this output
Warning: include(none): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /thefundu/public_html/friedcoffee/wp-includes/template-loader.php on line 75
the warning comes from PHP's settings to show warnings. ( its the default instalation setting)
you dont get a (apache) 404 becouse with wp the page you requested was index.php. So for apache you got your page (index.php). and its not a 404, its the index.php.
normaly u get a 404 from wp. but in this case u got a error and the wp own 404 was not handled.
your wp is not working right and fails to load the file. The end result is a empty page becouse it could not load anything else. ( the warning is a diferent way of output not part of your page )
i am no wp expert but include(none) says to me that you have no templated selected... maybe u need a template.
( the wp 404 error uses the template to make the wp 404 look shiny :D... the apache 404 just says "Not found" in ugly letters. ( and then there are browsers that also handle 404 to make it look beter ) )
edit :
considering u want to figure this out. Open the Template-loader.php and add echo's around what u want to know.
echo the $template before the include. its usefull to know what u put into the include.
echo the result of get_404_template(); (before the big if statement )
echo some text before the $template = get_index_template();
this will give u some information on where it goes wrong. I think its a problem in the settings or template but thats always hard to find.
edit 2:
i wonder where the 'none' comes from. it comes from one of those get_ fucntions. but u have to find out witch one. If u know it it also might help in the search on where the 'none' comes from. It lookd like a setting.
I am currently using wordpress for the website development and i want to change this page's formatting which is having url
http://www.selfmadesounds.com/dev3/?catid=featured&slg=featured3
I need to change this page's formatting such that i can exclude out the extra things from this page.
you are probably looking for category.php.
If you are a beginner with templating / themes / wp in general, you can simply search for class="category" and add a small string INSIDE the div in all of the template files where the search hit, one by one , and see which one is the one you look for .
You can insert <? php echo 'This is my page'; > or simply insert XXXXXX.
but just make sure you are not doing so in header.php, sidebar.php or footer.php - those will in all likelihood will appear on ALL your pages . ( also functions.php is to be excluded , but not in all cases ..)
but like others said, you should read the codex page about template hierarchy. it can also be any other filename (custom-loops.php file, custom-category-filename.php etc. depending on theme.
Edit I
I think you are mixing a bit of concepts here .
this line :
http://www.selfmadesounds.com/dev3/?catid=featured&slg=featured3
Is not a page, it is a URL with get parameters , and it represents a query for category : Featured with Slug : featured3 .
As for itself , it is NOT a page , it is a Query ( and i suspect that it is a plugin or theme related ). The query later produces , or renders a page .
At any rate , my advice still stands , Put a dummy code inside all the template pages and see which ones is your page .
For the rest - if you will supply more info or code , people could help more .
You have to check the Wordpress Template Hierarchy, a quick guess would be single.php from the active theme, but there is no way to be sure other than actually searching in the theme
Here's my issue. My company needs a vendor database added to our wordpress website. None of the existing plugins will even come close to what we need, and we already have a mysql database with all of our information, so we need to create a plugin or something to do what we need.
These urls need to be direct-accessible and have SEF urls. So, for example:
mysite.com/vendors/
mysite.com/vendors/pipe-manufacturers/
mysite.com/vendor/bobs-pipes/
And, the custom content needs to appear inside the wordpress template.
There are really 2 options:
1) Find a way to write our application outside of wordpress, but find a way to bootstrap wordpress to show the header, footer, and sidebar.
2) Run the app from inside wordpress.
So I went for option #2. I created a new template file named "vendor.php", and began working. I added this code to my functions.php of my theme:
add_filter( 'template_include', 'xyz_template_check' );
function xyz_template_check() {
global $template;
$rqst = $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'];
$ra = split("/", $rqst);
if ($ra[1] == "vendors") {
$template_file = get_stylesheet_directory() . '/vendors.php';
return $template_file;
}
return $template;
}
So what the above code does, if it sees the word "vendors" as the first part of the url after the site name, it sends you to vendor.php. This works PERFECTLY....
except...
Wordpress believes that the page is not found. It returns a 404 header, and NOT FOUND into the page title and breadcrumb.
Adding a PAGE called "Vendor Database" with the permalink "/vendors/" fixes the main page. But there will be literally hundreds of vendors and different categories. I cant be creating a custom page for each one. This needs to be dynamic.
So, how do I make wordpress give a 200, and supply an acceptable page title, breadcrumb, etc.
Don't even get me started on the danged wp_title filter. This did NOT work as documented. Although, it just occurred to me that this might be an issue with Wordpress SEO (the wp_title filter issue).
Anyone got an idea on this?
Ok got this. The solution was to use the rewrite api, as mentioned above, to look for the pattern /vendors/, letting it know that it was a valid URL. Coupled with my existing template override, this is what I needed.
I've installed Contact Form 7 (v 3.1.1) into Wordpress (v 3.3.1). It works fine on the homepage (which is a static Page called 'Home') but on any other page it does nothing and the console says:
POST http://trademarkshop.ca/contact/ 404 (Not Found)
I'm using do_shortcode to call it from both theme files:
<?php echo do_shortcode('[contact-form-7 id="212" title="Contact form"]'); ?>
I have wp_footer() in the footer and wp_head() in the header. I have no other plugins installed. I've even checked for if(is_home()) restrictions. I also tried re-directing other pages to use the Home page template file, but still gives a 404 error.
I've never had this problem before. Any ideas would be very appreciated!
have you tried changing your permalinks to something else,
then save,
then change it back to /%postname%/
could be its not creating the htaccess file in the wp root,
hence your permalinks arent working,
Marty
use this code
<?php echo do_shortcode( '[contact-form-7 id="7" title="Contact"]' ); ?>
His problem is caused by a combination of two misconfigurations. First, AJAX JavaScript is not functioning on your contact form. Due to this problem, your contact form needlessly redirects after submission. Second, your contact form uses unavailable words in the names of input fields. This issue confuses WordPress, resulting in the 404 (“Not Found”) error.
https://contactform7.com/faq/my-contact-form-always-redirects-to-404-error-page-after-submission/
Change your Contact form 7 field names. Because some names already using by wordpress may be is conflicting.
Example:
name to username
Sometime that happen cause the code (id) in de form (When you try editing the error message on the left side there is a short html like code on witch there is an id) is not the same as the one when you go to dashboard>contact and the short code entry of the table. You need to change the first one to match the second one
So out of no where after clicking the publish button the page just goes blank...
The url at the top is:
http://www.brightboxstudios.com/sociabulls/wp-admin/post.php
What's good news is it still posts the content :)
Not great at coding so details rock :)
I was getting same error, when I update the site content and press update it goes to /wp-admin/post.php and this appears as blank page.
It is solved by:
I removed all the spaces at the end of functions.php file, I had included a widget and there were some spaces in between older content and new widget function, when I removed the spaces everything is working fine.
if that don't work then
- go into wp-config.php and find this "define('WP_DEBUG', false);"
change its value, if it is flase, make it true or if it is true change it to false.
And everything must work Good.
Thanks
A blank page usually means Apache failed. Check your error logs. You'll probably find a line that starts with:
PHP Fatal error:
You can also display your errors on the screen instead of looking at the log.
There will be many reasons for blank page, you have not mention version for wp, php etc.
To solve wordpress blank page issue follow the steps
disable all plugin and try (if there is an error in plugins then enable 1 by 1)
switch to default theme and try (if there is an error in theme)
rename .htaccess and param-link to default (page/post id)
