OpenMDAO installation - openmdao

I need openmdao on windows 8 to run an aerostructutal optimization code that uses it but I’m having issues in the installation process. I installed numpy and scipy through pip in the cmd and then also openmdao using pip install openmdao but when I try to run a .py with copied inside the code at the bottom of this page, I get an error about “Component” not being found to import. What am I doing wrong ?

Some codes are written for a specific version of OpenMDAO. If you are using OpenAeroStruct, it requires OpenMDAO 1.7.4, not OpenMDAO 2.2.x.
To obtain the correct version, you would need to use the command pip install openmdao==1.7.4 or to download and install the source directly from here: https://github.com/OpenMDAO/openmdao1, following the instructions on the README, not on readthedocs.

The scipy.sparse.*_array functions were introduced with v1.8. The networkx package started requiring scipy >=1.8 with v2.7. So, either upgrade SciPy
conda install 'scipy>=1.8'
or downgrade NetworkX:
conda install 'networkx<2.7'
Part of the issue here is that, at the recommendation of a networkx developer, Conda Forge stopped explicitly requiring scipy as a dependency of networkx, and therefore there is no longer any constraint. I opened an issue on the feedstock to revisit coinstallation constraints (run_constrained specifications).
As mentioned in this Github comment, I was trying to calculate the page rank (networkx.pagerank) of a graph on Google Colab when I encountered the same error. After executing the following code, the issue was resolved for me:
!pip install --upgrade scipy networkx
A Side Note: pip install refers to installing packages and leave the package as-is if it is already installed. But the --upgrade flag instructs pip to uninstall anything which is being upgraded/replaced. For more info on this, refer this official doc.

No module named 'charset_normalizer.md__mypyc'

I'm using PyInstaller to compile a program and keep coming across the error "No module named 'charset_normalizer.md__mypyc.'" The Charset-Normalizer package is installed.
As a test, I tried re-compiling a program that I had previously created in early September without issue, but now receive the same error. I thought that maybe there is an issue with the versions of either PyInstaller or Charset-Normalizer so I've experimented with different versions, but cannot get it to work.
You are probably missing the "chardet" library
I installed it and it worked.
pip install chardet
I had the EXACT problem. Scripts that I was able to make into executables using Pyinstaller before I could no longer do so again. In my script I used the pdfplumber package, which when you install it also installs other packages like pillow, wand, charset-normalizer, etc.
Since the error was regarding charset-normalizer for me as well, I tried different versions of it. For me it was version 2.1.0 that made the executable work again. Install it with the "pip install charset-normalizer==2.1.0" command: https://pypi.org/project/charset-normalizer/2.1.0/.
If it does not work, go to "Release history" on that link and try another version. Try to remember when was the last time you created a working executable and get the version you think will work for you.

If you don't have the charset-normalizer library installed, then you should install it using the following command:
pip install charset-normalizer
I got it to work by installing older versions of PyInstaller and Charest-Normalizer. Anytime this messages pops-up, consider installing an older version of the package.
Pyinstaller may sometimes miss your dependency. In such a case run pyinstaller with the --collect-all option.
In this case --collect-all charset_normalizer should force pyinstaller to include the dependency.

How to install Tensorflow for R

I had Tensorflow installed with Anaconda. Now I want use it in R and I need to reinstall Tensorflow, because the note here
NOTE: You should NOT install TensorFlow with Anaconda as there are
issues with the way Anaconda builds the python shared library that
prevent dynamic linking from R.
I already tried to uninstall from Anaconda and install with pip but its came to the same place in anaconda directory. Tesorflow is working from terminal but in R shows Error: Command failed (1)
Anybody can help me to how I can solve the problem? Should I uninstall anaconda and install Tensorflow using pip?
You have several options on what to do. Probably the cleanest one is to install a system-wide python (if not installed yet) and then create a virtual environment. This basically takes your system python binaries and moves them to its own compartment where everythign is isolated from the rest, incl. anaconda. Once you are inside an activated virtual environment you can install all the necessary Python appendages for TensorFlow. Once that is done, make sure you set up a correct environmental PATH for TensorFlow from where R can reach it:
Sys.setenv(TENSORFLOW_PYTHON="/path/to/virtualenv/python/binary")
devtools::install_github("rstudio/tensorflow")
Example of the path to where you installed the virtual environment project would be, I think, something like ~/minion/medvedi/venv_medvedi/bin/python.

my suggestion is to install anaconda and create an environment called "r-reticulate".
you can do it using anaconda navigator or
reticulate::conda_create(envname = "r-reticulate")
then to check that env detected by reticulate, use reticulate::conda_python().it must return directory of python.exe for your env.
after that you can install tensorflow by install_tensorflow(). [not working in my case]
so I install the tesnorflow from CMD.
follow these steps:
open the cmd :]
activate the r-reticulate env using conda activate r-reticulate (you may need your directory to conda directory if you did not add conda to your PATH)
use : conda install -c anaconda tensorflow
now in R, you can use TensorFlow.
for installing Keras, you can use pip install Keras. [i tried install_keras() function after the installation of tensorflow, but it ruined my TensorFlow installation also]
Eventually I found the best and fast method to do it in R:

Installing R on Apache Zeppelin

I'm trying to install Apache Zeppelin on my old computer that runs Ubuntu. So far, I'm able to install Zeppelin very easily by cloning the latest 0.6.0 snapshot release using
git clone https://github.com/apache/incubator-zeppelin.git
cd incubator-zeppelin
mvn clean package -DskipTests
but I want to have R on Zeppelin. Supposedly, the 0.6.0 snapshot has two R interpreters, but when I run the R tutorial (the pre-made note that uses %r), I get this list of errors.
I followed several guides to try and install R as an interpreter, but each one resulted in some kind of error. I tried this instructional:
http://www.r-bloggers.com/interactive-data-science-with-r-in-apache-zeppelin-notebook/, and got a build failure on "R Interpreter". The error message was
"dependency 'evaluate' is not available for package 'rzeppelin'
* removing '/home/rebecca/Zeppelin-With-R/R/lib/rzeppelin'"
and then a bit lower down

I also tried this Stack Overflow guide: Anyone tried to add R interpreter onto Apache Zeppelin?, and while I was able to run incubator-zeppelin, I received an error when I used either the %spark.r or %r interpreter tags, saying both "interpreter not found" and "prefix not found". Spark doesn't work either after following the first solution, getting the same error mentioned in the second solution (the jar file not being there), and then trying the second solution.
Does anyone have a guide for installing R onto the newest version of Zeppelin? I'm very flexible in the way I can install it. I can run other operating systems onto my computer, and I also have Virtual Box installed on my other computer, which is a mac.
There is currently a bug in the latest HEAD of zeppelin that was recently introduced and prevents the R interpreter from launching cleanly

build Zeppelin with r profile: -DskipTests -Prthis will...
create a directory 'R' in git repo root
copy the 'zeppelin-rinterpreter*.jar' into git_repo_root/interpreter/spark
build Zeppelin with build distro profile: e.g. -DskipTests -Pbuild-distr -Pspark-1.6 -Phadoop-2.6
use zeppelin-distribution/target/zeppelin*.tar.gz for installation
ensure both 1.1 and 1.2 are present in your zeppelin installation
The error you're getting is that you need to have the R package evaluate installed. You can install this simply by launching R and typing install.packages('evaluate').
That said, your excerpt mentions the directory Zeppelin-with-R. That's my repo, which is the R interpreter in the form when it was accepted into Zeppelin. That is version 0.5.6, not 0.6.0. There is currently a bug in the latest HEAD of zeppelin that was recently introduced and prevents the R interpreter from launching cleanly. Your best bet for now is to use the one from my repo and install clean, without trying to pull-in from Zeppelin HEAD.

How do I install pyQt on MacOs, Python 3.5.1?

I already tried installing it with 'brew install pyqt' and the command did it's thing, but I still get an importing error.
