I'm trying to debug a display problem shown below:
Here is the HTML:
<span class="pw_brand_product_list"><div class="wb-posted_in">Brand:</div>My First Brand</span>
and here is the CSS:
.wb-posted_in {display:inline-block; margin:5px}
When I put all this into JSFiddle, it shows properly "Brand: My First Brand" however, when I actually implement this onto my website, it doesn't seem to display properly it still shows as:
Brand:
My First Brand
Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm assuming it's some very beginners mistake? I even tried to use !important and it still doesn't apply correctly.
I took a look at the page you linked. It seems that .wb-posted_in has a width: 100%. Changing this with width: auto seems to have fixed the issue.

Can anyone help me on how to remove the white line around the jquery mobile button
, i have added background image to it and want to remove that line.
Demo: http://jsfiddle.net/fepT4/2/
Like others said, it is hard to help you out if you don't have an example code or screenshot to show us what you want to achieve. In general, to remove the border, use css border-style: none; If this is not what you want, please provide more info.

this is the example, the left Nav div can float on the top once hitting to a point when scrolling down
http://www.codecademy.com/glossary/html#attributes_class
Look into WayPoints jQuery plugin... I use it, and it does very nice things!
http://imakewebthings.com/jquery-waypoints/
Once you hit the div that reflects the glossary, you could make jquery search for the 'selected' link, remove the link class from it, and set the class to the new link. It would take a little time to make it work perfectly, but would do great.

Please take a look at the snapshot of the page
I have no idea what's wrong. Why can't the drop down from the navigation simply display on top of the elements in the side bar.
Thanks for the help. And oh, I'm a beginner in CSS.
set that element to::
#nav{
z-index:9999;
}
since you are learning about it, check this out:::, this will help you to understand the z-index position of a div(element) in a page.

I want to create some kind of different vertical dividers than usual ones. Instead of using the classic css border properties, how may I implement something like the dividers at the bottom(blue footer) in the following page: https://www.ote.gr/en/web/guest/consumer. I think this must be a picture. If so,any idea where to find some similar pictures?
Thank you very much
The website you gave does indeed use a picture, which is probably the easiest way for this effect.
I would strongly advise you to learn to work with Chrome Inspector or Firebug. This would show you the following:
And this would even learn you the image can be found at https://www.ote.gr/ote-corporate-theme/images/divider.png
I would advise you to create your own image though. Shouldn't be that hard...

i am using some buttons
and i want to list them in one line. i tried this
.myclass{
position:relative;
float:left;
}
but i didnt work..
Give the buttons a float: left; after your float you have to set the next element clear: both; now you buttons should be in one line.
If the animation destroys your layout give the buttons a with.
You can use a table with a single row. See link for an example.
