I need to edit a page on my wordpress site, but the page doesn't show on the "Pages" feature. This page is accessible over a top menu that I can edit over the themes/template editing. However I cannot find a way to edit it or even find it on my file manager.
This is the page URL: http://protector-canum.de/linkliste/
I just need to add some content to it.
Anyone aware of how I can get this done?
Thanks!
Check the css class of your body tag and look for post-id-XXXX
use that number in your admin url

I want to create a custom page template in WordPress which shows Image Slideshow and then a video below it and finally some text - till now what I am able to do is play with sidebar, footer, header.
I can either remove them or keep them in my custom page templates but what I want to do is play with the page contents.
The Admin user should be able to see these sections in the Page Editor (WYSIWYG) when they choose the Template from the drop-down, so that they can accordingly add the correct content in correct place holders
Something like the attached screen-shot is showing
Is this possible in WordPress
Yes! It's possible to implement this! you can use https://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431 or https://wordpress.org/plugins/siteorigin-panels/ plugin.
The first plugin allows you to create different page layout and save it. It also allows admin to choose page layout that admin has saved previously.
The second page builder plugin allows you to create template same way and allows admin to clone one page layout to another one.
Hope this will help you!
I feel kind of stupid asking this but... I have three pages on my website. There is one of them I want to edit. How do I access the code of this page? I need to change the size of a Google Maps I have embedded on the page.
Go edit this page, in the right sidebar look for Template in page attributes box. This page should be using a template, go to your theme folder and look for a php file with the similar name, when you open, it should have the exact template name in the header, that's where you can edit the code of this page assuming that it use a template.
I managed to solve the problem by playing around with some divs in the css.
I have update a page in my wordpress site using web admin back end, but what I see is that even if I update a page, it does not get updated online. Moreover, some of the content of the page which I see online /live are not actually texted in the area where we put the content.
On the right side navigator, in the page attribute area Parent has been set to No Parent, template --> Home Page.
Can you please let me know what could be the possible reason why the live content of the page is different from what I can see in the actual text area through web admin panel?
Also updating a page does not reflects on the page as well for that particular page.
First make sure you are editing the right page. Click in the frontend adminbar on edit instead of navigating in the backend through the pages list.
Secondly it can be any caching related issue. Check out if there are any plugins or settings for this.
Areas that are on the page but not editable via the content can be widgets or any kind of theme builder stuff. Check in the backend design->widgets.
The page hierarchy (parent: no parent) can be differ from the actually website navigation. Check out design->menus. It is possible to build other hierarchies in the menus.
I need to add a page to a wordpress site. However, for legal reasons, the page cannot be placed in/managed by wordpress as we are not allowed to make any changes to the page or it's content. How can I add this page to our site, but keep it outside wordpress management.
Odd request, but here's one idea:
Create a page template with no dynamic content from the post, load this content into it. The only way to edit the file would be through raw code. Anything entered into the post/page content area would not appear.
Does anyone know a way to implement an iframe on a WordPress website. Every time I place the code onto the correct page, wordpress strips my code and the iframe breaks.
I was wondering if there was a plugin that allows iframe code to stay intact or if there is some form of shortcode to use.
I have tried:
[iframe url="http://www.youtube.com/embed/X3kLPtVjjhA" width="579" height="360"]
[fixiframe url="http://www.youtube.com/embed/X3kLPtVjjhA" width="579" height="360"]
and installed the "embed iframe" plug-in on my site but none of them seem to work.
I appreciate the help.
You don't need an iframe to post a youtube video, but to answer your questions about iframes in wordpess..
I am not sure what those plugins do. You can create page templates and have iframes in your pages without using any plugins.
Create a new page template and add the iframe in the php code for that page template. More specifically, create a copy of page.php and rename it. In the comments at the beginning of the file, edit the line with the template file name to Template Name: MyPage. Edit the page code and add iframe code where you need it. And select this template (MyPage) as the template for your page in page edit section wp-admin.
You can also add the embed code as meta information to page in wp-admin, and fetch this meta information in the code to display the iframe. In this way, you can use different iframes for different pages with a single template.
Let me know if you need help with this. I will post a complete solution
Why are you using an iframe to load a Youtube video, you should use the embed tag that they show under the video...
I have iframes in my wordpress for all the Facebook/twitter buttons and they work great!
