I'm trying to make an application with Xamarin.Forms, in which I need to access to OneDrive files.
When I try to create PublicClientApplication object in my app.cs file with the line
PublicClientApplication myApp = new PublicClientApplication(CLIENT_ID);
I obtain this error :
"System.NullReferenceException : 'Object reference not set to an
instance of an object.'"
The Microsoft.Identity.Client 1.1.0.0 package is well installed. I reference it in my app.cd file and I have registred my application on the Azure AD v2.0 portal and have obtained an ID.
Can someone explain me where my mistake is?

I am trying to use Intents Extension in my existing Obj-C project for conversational shortcuts in iOS 13. I have followed all the steps and the procedures work fine in a sample app.
But when I try it out in my existing application the intents fail to launch and it is automatically redirected to my parent app.
The console error is as follows
[Intents] -[INCache cacheableObjectForIdentifier:] Unable to find cacheable object with identifier intents-remote-image-proxy:?proxyIdentifier=2A439A9B-6D95-BFB2-FCE4-31408D1E677F.png&storageServiceIdentifier=com.apple.Intents.INImageServiceConnection in cache.
Has anyone faced such an issue with intents? Please share your thoughts on this.
Additional Info:
The intent is registered. Have implemented the 'handle' 'resolve' methods and have also declared them in the interface.
Have the extension's min deployment target same as the parent (which created an issue that I had missed previously).
The issue was created due to setting up 'Copy only when installing' boolean as 'true' in 'Embed App Extensions' under 'Build Phases'. It was resolved once the check was made 'false'.
I am trying trying to deploy a very simple asp.net MVC5 application to AppHarbor and the any page that requires a DB query produces the following error:
Invalid object name 'dbo.AspNetUsers'.
Referencing what this guy has to say:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCXWVHwHVqk
I added the following to my start_appliation() method in the Global.asax.cs file:
Database.SetInitializer<ApplicationDbContext>(
new CreateDatabaseIfNotExists<ApplicationDbContext>());
This rewarded me with a new error:
Migrations is enabled for context 'ApplicationDbContext' but the database does not exist or contains no mapped tables. Use Migrations to create the database and its tables, for example by running the 'Update-Database' command from the Package Manager Console.
This is the connection string in my web.config file:
In the AppHarbor dashboard I set the connection string alias to "DefaultConnection" as well.
What on earth should I be putting in the start_application() method? Or is there something else completely screwed up?
I'm fairly new to Flex\AS3
I'm using flash builder 4.5 for php and I'm trying to connect to my DB via remote objects.
I'm following adobes instructions as listed here:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flex/accessingdata/WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-668f02f4120d422cf08-7ffe.html#WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-668f02f4120d422cf08-7ffa
I've created the php service, and successfully finished the wizard.
I've tested my service with the Test tool and it is indeed returning my results.
My problem is that it seems that flash builder didn't create the service's files(super+base) at all. For example, when I drag the service into a dropdown component I get an error saying that the service component can't be found.
Does anyone know this issue happens? how can the test tool work if the service classes don't exist?
Thanks in advance,
Ravid
The problem was that I didn't checkout the files before using the wizard so flash builder didn't have write permissions on the files and therefore didn't create the necessary files.
once he had the write permissions - everything worked just fine
from an ASP.Net 3.5 web application, I'm trying to log messages to the Windows EventLog.
I first tried with the EntLib Logginh block, but when this failed I tried with the EventLog class directly. It failed too. They do not throw any exception... the just don't write the message. EntLib did write the message to a file, but not to the Windows EventLog.
Here is my code:
public static void LogMessage(string title, string message){
//EventLog log = new EventLog();
//log.Source = LOG_SOURCE;
//log.WriteEntry(message, EventLogEntryType.Error);
//EventLog.WriteEntry(LOG_SOURCE, message);
LogWriter writer = EnterpriseLibraryContainer.Current.GetInstance<LogWriter>();
writer.Write(message);
}
I create the log & source in an installer class. Let me know if I should place that code here. The log is created correctly, since I can see it in the EventViewer. The source is created correctly, since I can see it in the "EventLog\MyLog" folder at the regedit.
I've been reading and there is an article stating following line could help:
EventLogPermission perm = new EventLogPermission(EventLogPermissionAccess.Administer, ".");
perm.PermitOnly();
but it didn't.
If it helps, my code structure is as follows:
Class library project (here is the LogMessage method)
Class Library project (here are the methods which catch exceptions and call LogMessage)
ASP Net web application project (web pages. This layer calls layer #2. Here is my installer class too)
Web setup project (this has custom actions pointing to web setup project output)
Could you please help to figure out what's happening???
Thanks
I found the following resource: "http://www.netframeworkdev.com/net-base-class-library/trouble-writing-to-eventlog-16723.shtml", so it seems it is not possibly to create custom logs from ASP... still investigating
Try giving the Network Service account the appropriate permissions
I am refactoring a hugh action script solution in Flash builder (beta 2) using the flex 4 sdk.
The project does NOT use the mx framework.
What i want to have is:
A big 'MAIN' project
several small 'MODULE' projects. each 'MODULE' class refrences the 'MAIN' project as an External reference (doesnt compile into swf) - this is done by setting link type = external in the 'MODULE' project properties -> library path.
'MAIN' loads a 'MODULE' project on runtime using the 'loader' class.
the problem:
I recieve an error from the MODULE project:
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class [some class in MAIN] could not be found.
PLEASE HELP!
Check which application domain you are loading your module into. The app domain needs to be able to access the class you have externalised or you'll get that error.
It might just be a bug with the beta version of the sdk. It seems like the import of a class in a module created in another project doesn't force it's inclusion in the main swf.
try putting a dummy dependency in you main application class, like:
private var forcedImports:Array = [MyClass];
It fixed some of my problems before.
