Images as buttons google app maker - google-app-maker

I'm building a Backoffice and want the 1st page to resemble the google Apps dashboard (see image). Any idea how I can create large buttons that include a title, image and sub text?
Google Apps Dashboard
Behaviour on mouseOver

It looks like the best option from the layout perspective will be Grid widget with onClick handler for GridCell(select Cards style variant for mot prominent hover effect):
// Cell onClick handler
app.showPage(app.pages.SomePage);
But the datasource for this thing will be the whole different story...

Sign In With Google Button Padding in iframe

I'm using the Sign In With Google Button using this library (https://www.npmjs.com/package/#react-oauth/google).
The button is being rendered in an iframe.
How do I get rid of the padding (green portion in the picture) in one of the divs (in the iframe)?
Unfortunately you can't, Google controls the render of the iframe
you can use useGoogleLogin and create your custom login button if you want to have dark theme

Editing the navigation controller from push segue

So i have a static tableview with 4 rows, i'm connecting them to different viewcontrollers without using any code instead i'm simply dragging the cell and setting up the segue.
The issue i'm having is that when this segue is performed a navigation controller is automatically generated and embed at the top so i get the following result below.
How could i edit the text and the icon? I want to remove the settings text and use my own custom icon.
It's also worth noting that i have embed other navigation controllers throughout my app. So i'd like to target this view specifically rather than all of my views.
I suspect the accepted answer on this question may help: how to replace/customize back button image in storyboard navigationcontroller
You'll need to do it in your prepareForSegue I believe.

Bootstrap : trigger dropdown from toggled button

I have a responsive layout where the desktop view shows search, logo, login. In the xs/mobile view I would like the search and login to collapse into buttons. I can get this layout working just fine. The issue is that in the desktop view, I have a Search Options link that opens a popover with tabbed search forms. I'd like to still have that once you click the collapsed search button. My issue is that the popover is being created inside the tag instead of after it.
How can I set it up so that there is one div holding the search options that can be displayed from either the desktop view (search bar, Go button, search options link) as well as the mobile view (just a button with a search icon).
I am not tied to the popover- I just liked the look of it and I am not sure how to deal with the data-toggle as it currently is set to "collapse" and it seems I might need it to be able to also somehow be set to "dropdown."
Hopefully there is an easier/better way to do this!

How do create this gmail app effect on Honeycomb

Attached is the screenshot of the UI that I would like to have in my app. When I click on the listitems on the fragment on the left side I see a arrow pointing(question mark in red) on the list item which was clicked, I would like to know how can we achieve this in UI layout. Any special settings to be set?
I was looking at the same feature.
To implement similar, I'd suggest showing an image on the selected item in the list, this would require code rather than Layout XML, It would be controlled by the list fragment when an item is selected. That way you get the visual effect that the two fragments are related via the arrow image.
Did you end up giving it a go for yourself?

Detecting out-of-view flex controls

In my flex app I have custom tooltips on buttons that hide and show based on user context.
The problem that I dealing with is that when I call my showTips() function I only want to show tooltips on the buttons that visible in the view. So buttons that on a un-selected tab (tabNavigator) should not show the tooltips.
For some reason all tooltips are showing.
Is there a way to detect if a button is not in current view, like on a un-selected tab?
If you gave us some code I could check this out, but would this work?
if(button.parent.visible) { showTip(button);}
Instead of custom coding for each button, make use your tabnavigator's creation policy is set to "auto".
