I am working for a client and cannot seem to find the solution to this issue. When changing the file path for the root directory of the WP File Manager we can "lockdown" and specify that we want the /home/site_name/files folder for the users to see when logged in. The default file path is /home/site_name/ and I can view the PDF's in the files folder by navigating and opening them up.
But once I specify that I want only the contents in the /home/site_name/file to be viewed I can no longer open the PDF's, it will give me a 404 this page cannot be found. If I take this URL and add in the /files/file_name then it loads... there is some disconnect between the link and the file path and I cannot figure it out.
Let me know if anyone has seen this before while using Wordpress File Manager!
Thanks!!
Update: After contacting the developers of the plugin there was a known issue with it, now with the new version the bug is fixed
I am trying to upload the html file and aspx file in teams. once it is loaded then get the copy of files address
and i am going to load that copied path url in browser but it is not showing web content which i design like web page.
in browser (html/aspx) files are downloading. If i am trying to load apsx file in browser it was showing like error(Something went wrong File Not Found),
so want i like is that is there any feature to load in browser?
Thanks for your detailed explanation.
First of all, Teams does not host any html or aspx file itself. So you can not upload a file and use the URL to render web page in browser. The file URL is a link to that uploaded file location. That's the reason the file is getting downloaded in browser.
Secondly, it is other way round. You can run your website in any other server and use that URL to configure a tab in MS Teams.
Please go through these links

My .css file was working fine but today I noticed the website is not acting based on CSS rules so I tried to inspect the rues on browser and surprisingly I noticed the CSS file is empty!
I tried to open the style.css file in Notepad++ and this is how it looks like
I also tried to open the file in Bracket editor which I got this message
Can you please let me know if there is a way to fix this issue and retrieve the CSS rules from these NULs?
If your file is indeed corrupted, and you have site backups as part of your hosting plan, restore your website to a point where your file worked. (Many web hosts that offer backups will store 30 days' worth, depending on your hosting plan.)
If you don't have such a hosting plan, go to Wayback Machine and search for your URL. Pick a snapshot date when your site was working. Look in your source code and find a link to Wayback's cached version of your CSS file. Copy your CSS from there.
Alternatively, try searching for your website in Google. Unless you have noarchive tags on your site, there should be a link right in your search results to access a cached version of your site. If Google last crawled your site before your file got corrupted, you should be able to access your cached CSS file through the source code (or a link in Dev Tools).

You may be able to open the file in a third code editor and save it as UTF-8.
just putting this out there to see if anyone has any good off-the-cuff suggestions.
I have a web page with a button that triggers the download of a PDF file. When I run this page up in development from within VS I get the file coming back for download as expected, however since moving my web site to a staaging environment it is now yielding a very different result: When I click the download button I instead get an error and a message which seems to indicate that the call actually attempted to download the raw ASPX page rather than any ZIP file.
As this works so painlessly in my development environment, I'm assuming this must be down to environmental/configurational differences. Has anybody come across this before and if so could you inform me of the error of my ways?
Many thanks in advance
Ian
Could the aspx file be the actual zipfile ? Have you tried downloading it and open as zip?
Does the server allow for aspx to execute, eg mime-settings ?
Maybe this helps Filename and mime problems - ASP.NET Download file (C#)
Or look here How to retrieve and download server files (File.Exists and URL)
I have a XDP file that Acrobat can open. It contains a PDF plus some data to fill in the form fields in the PDF.
In my HTTP request header I set
content-type to "application/vnd.adobe.xdp+xml" and
Content-Disposition to "in-line"
still my browser downloads the file and asks me if I want to Open it or save it. When I click on Open it loads the PDF form and data inside Acrobat, not in the web browser.
Do you have any idea?
UPDATE:
I reinstalled the Adobe plugin and now browser(FireFox) attempts to open the PDF but I get the following error:
that is very strange as the file is created by Acrobat it self. On the same page that throw this error, if I press OK and go to File > Save as.. and save the XDP file on desktop then drag and drop it into a new browser window, it opens it! and the address bar shows a very similar file name and location as was shown in the error (temp directory of FireFox cache).
It looks like an administration problem. Your file is being downloaded but Adobe doesn't have the access rights to that folder.
Contact your network administrator is my only answer.
I wonder if this open source project will solve your web display problem: pdf.js If not immediately, perhaps you can help it along.
