I'm trying to install qml-material plugin from papyros in my Qt. I have completed these steps so far
Cloned qml-material repo from here
opened "qml-material.pro" file in repository's root directory in Qt Creator
Built the project in release. It created "libmaterial.so" and similar files in the build directory.
In the build directory executed "make install"
After this step I don't know what to do. Please correct me if I have done something wrong and guide me what do I do next in order to use this plugin in a project.

Using Qt Creator (latest released version, "Qt Creator 5.0.3 based on Qt 5.15.2"), the default build steps when creating a new project using meson are wrong.
My project configuration is the following: I have my source code, meson build files in a directory which also contains the build directory named "build".
Here are the default build steps:
Here is what it should be:
Is there a way I can change the default build settings for every project? Can someone explain why Qt Creator doesn't have good build steps by default?
Tools > Options > Meson > Enable "Autorun meson".
Yeah, that's an easy fix.
I have Qt project that want to create a .deb package. My project can be found here
I found 1 tutorial about it, it can compile but I need to activate some flag on pro file like CONFIG+=USE_LIBUSB, I don't know how to put those flag, because the tutorial is not fully explains.
Is there any tutorial how to build Qt project to .deb?
MMMMMM#unbuntu:~/QT/test4Qml$ qmlscene main.qml
qmlscene: could not exec '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/bin/qmlscene': No such file or directory
My Qt Development Environment does not have qmlscene. I googled it, and I only found *.deb. How should I do it?
As far as I know, Qt is not installed by default in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4. That directory is the default path when linux detects a dependency which requires Qt.
Where did you installed Qt? How did you installed it? Did you set the PATH environment variable to where Qt binaries are installed?
Usually, you have to follow the next steps:
1.- Install the the basic requirements for building Qt applications.
2.- Download Qt. I recommend Qt 5 using an offline installer. Otherwise, you'd need to compile from the source. Here you have a list of older versions of Qt.
3.- Set the environment variable PATH to the directory where you Qt bin directory is installed.
For a project i need Random Numbers in an OpenCL Kernel. I found the clRNG library which is exactly what i need.
https://github.com/clMathLibraries/clRNG
But i have some trouble with installing it. I follows the Installation intructions on Github for the install with VisualStudio. I comiled the files with Cmake and got a clRNG.sln File. I can open this file with visual studio but i dont know whats the next step.
It would be great if someone could give me a detaild step-by-step guide for installing the library.
Thanks a lot.
Maybe you figured this out by yourself already, but here is the guide anyhow:
Build the ALL_BUILD project, either by going to Build -> Build Solution or right-clicking ALL_BUILD in the Solution Explorer and selecting Build.
Build the INSTALL project under CMakePredefinedTargets in the Solution Explorer by right-clicking on it and selecting Build.
Now all the needed files should be in the package folder inside the solution folder.
To use the library in a VS project, you need to the project properties and adding the clRNG include folder in the project Include Directories and the lib/import folder in the project Library Directories. You can find the settings by going to the project properties and selecting Configuration Properties -> VC++ Directories.
I've got a problem when I am building my project. I uses the springsource tools (STS) version 3.1.0 on Linux platform. After I imported my project to the STS, the springsource tools told me that "No such file or directory" at the pom.xml file. The file is actually exist in the correct path. I think the project is working fine because I've tried to import the same project with the same procedure in the other computer.
When I use console to compile the project with maven, all of them are complied successfully.
I've also tried the following but still not work:
1. reinstall the STS.
2. re-import the project.
3. create a user profile and re-import project.
4. use older version of STS (3.0.0)
I want to import the project to my computer so that I can work with.
Please suggest to resolve the problem. Thanks!
Had "No such file or directory" error on pom.xml in Eclipse Luna SR1.
Tracked it down to be caused by faulty resolution of other projects within the workspace by M2E.
So there are 2 solutions:
Either close the other project in the workspace (a dependency of the project in error).
Or disable workspace resolution by M2E on the project in error (right-click on the project, Maven --> Disable Workspace Resolution).
Obviously, if you need both projects open then option 2. is the way to go. The dependent project then takes the dependency from the local Maven repo, so to refresh it, you have to build and install the dependency into the local repo (mvn install).
I have the same issue. Still didn't find any smart solution, but this sometimes works for me:
Close eclipse
Go to console and do a maven clean install with update flag "mvn clean install -U"
Reboot the computer (logging out and back in didn't help)
Start eclipse and refresh and rebuild your projects
