I have created a mlab database. But I am unable to export it to meteor application.Everytime I try to connect, it throws an error "mongoError: failed to connect to server [ds035693.mlab.com:35693] on first connect".Command I am using is
"export MONGO_URL= mongodb://<dbuser>:<dbpassword>#ds035693.mlab.com:35693/abcd"
i think you don't need " " around your export. just put this in your terminal
export MONGO_URL= mongodb://<dbuser>:<dbpassword>#ds035693.mlab.com:35693/abcd
replace with your id and password.
and console.log(process.env); in your startup function to check if MONGO_URL is set or not.
if this is set. this may be your network issue.
you may be forgot to add database user in user tab for your collection in mlab.
hope this will help
You need to create a database user in mLab, with an id and password.
Then your MONGO_URL should like:
mongodb://<id>:<password>#ds035693.mlab.com:35693/abcd
Note that it is NOT your account credentials.

I am trying to connect to mysql database using MySqlHook. Under Admin -> Connections I have defined a new connection of the type mysql with the name myappname_db. I have used this in my code as drupalHook = MySqlHook(conn_name_attr='myappname_db')
However, when I run the dag in local, I see that it picks up the built in default credential from Admin -> Credentials i.e. mysql_default instead of myappname_db
To rectify this do I need to update any setting in airflow.cfg or any other config.
Thanks.
The MySqlHook uses an attribute mysql_conn_id to store the connection id.
conn_name_attr refers to the name of the attribute (mysql_conn_id in this case), which is fetched dynamically in the MySqlHook.
I am following this document-https://is.docs.wso2.com/en/5.9.0/setup/changing-datasource-bpsds/
deployment.toml Configurations.
[bps_database.config]
url = "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/IAMtest?useSSL=false"
username = "root"
password = "root"
driver = "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"
Executing database scripts.
Navigate to <IS-HOME>/dbscripts. Execute the scripts in the following files, against the database created.
<IS-HOME>/dbscripts/bps/bpel/create/mysql.sql
<IS-HOME>/dbscripts/bps/bpel/drop/mysql-drop.sql
<IS-HOME>/dbscripts/bps/bpel/truncate/mysql-truncate.sql
Now create/mysql.sql creates table and the rest two file are responsible for deleting and trucating the same table..............what do i do?????????
Can anyone also tell the use case of BPS datasource??????
Please Help...........
You should only change your bps database if you have a requirement of using the workflow feature[1] in the wso2 identity server. It is mentioned in this documentation https://is.docs.wso2.com/en/5.9.0/setup/changing-to-mysql/
The document supposed to menstion the related db script. But it seems like mis leading. As it has requested to execute all three scripts. if you are using the workflow feature just use the
/dbscripts/bps/bpel/create/mysql.sql
script to create tables in you mysql database.

I've done a mysqldump from our Drupal6/CiviCRM4 Civi DB and am trying to import it into a Drupal7/Civi4 dev install, but keep getting "ERROR 1227 (42000) at line 369: Access denied; you need the SUPER privilege for this operation"
From what I can tell, user has correct permissions as indicated via site's cpanel, all appears correct in the import command. I've not come upon this error before doing similar proceedures on other installs. Help please?
It could be one of a couple of things.
First, if you have MySQL version before 5.1.6, you'll need the SUPER permission no matter what:
http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/CiviCRM+MySQL+Permission+Requirements
However, since it has been running fine and you're just trying to import the dump file, I think it's probably that your dump file has functions where the definer is set as the database user for the old site (let's say "foo#localhost"). You aren't allowed to set the definer as someone other than yourself without the SUPER privilege. If the new site has a different user (maybe "bar#localhost"), you're acting as "bar#localost" trying to set a function defined by "foo#localhost".
In your dump, you'll probably see something along the lines of
CREATE DEFINER=`foo`#`localhost` FUNCTION ...
You can do one of two things:
have both databases use the same database user account, or
edit the dump file to replace the old user name with the new user name everywhere it occurs.
You should also be aware that "foo#localhost" and "foo#%" are separate users, even if they have the same name and password.
A Drupal/CiviCrm database uses triggers. The SUPER privilege is needed to recreate the trigger when you import the database. If you've restricted your standard user's privileges to those needed while running Civi, you can create a new MySQL user just for the import and grant that user ALL privileges on the database(s). After the import is complete, remove the user with elevated privileges.
I've specified the user of my application pool to be SERVER4\IUSR_SERVER4. And then I added this user to the SQL Server. But when I try to connect to the database I get the following error:
Server Error in '/BSHHD' Application.
Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
Login failed for user 'SERVER4\Administrator'.
What's driving me mad is there's no user named SERVER4\Administrator. What do I have to do in order to be able to properly connect to this SQL Server database from my website?
P.S. I think this is related with Membership authentication. Now I need to find out how Membership accesses SQL Server and where the login credentials are specified
The thing is, the app pool user is not necessarily the user you use to connect to MSSQL (as a guy in the comments already stated). After seeing your connection string, this is probably the case, and maybe, just maybe, the problem is not the user but it's default database.
I've had this error in the past: Try setting the user you use in the connection string (clerk's) default database to something else. This error is common when you've set a default database for a user before and now the database doesn't exist anymore or is having some problems.
You can change the user's default database using something like this:
Exec sp_defaultdb #loginame='clerk', #defdb='dok'
You can also use something like this but I've never used it:
ALTER LOGIN SQLLogin WITH DEFAULT_DATABASE = AvailDBName
Also, there's no need to set the integrated security to false because it is the default value already. I hope this helps =)
I have an admin account for my website where I add new clients. When a new client is added, they get an account and their own database.
The problem is I can't create new databases on my server from my admin account. When running it locally, I can add a database locally. But, when I try adding to the server running my website off the server, I get
CREATE DATABASE permission denied in database 'master'.
I've been able to add the database (locally) a few ways. This is one of the simpler working versions:
tmpConn.ConnectionString = "Data Source=.\\SQLEXPRESS; DATABASE = master;Integrated Security=True;";
sqlCreateDBQuery = " CREATE DATABASE " + dbname;
SqlCommand myCommand = new SqlCommand(sqlCreateDBQuery, tmpConn);
try
{
tmpConn.Open();
myCommand.ExecuteNonQuery();
}
catch (System.Exception ex)
{}
I suspect that whatever account you're using to connect to Sql Server doesn't have permissions to CREATE DATABASE. You're probably using Integrated Security, which would use Network Service/ASP.NET to connect to MSSQL. You need to create a new connection string that uses Sql Authentication with sa (or another sysadmin) credentials.
Oh - and this would work locally because you're running it under Visual Studio's WebDev.exe which is run with your local user account - which is probably set up as a sysadmin in MSSQL.
You should contact your service provider. (Or the maintainer of the server).
You need create database and create database user permissions. Your service provider should be able to facilitate this.
Something else no one has suggested is what kind of validation you are doing on the dbname value. Are you sure there are no spaces in it? That it's not a reserved word? That it doesn't contain malicious code? At very least you should encase it in brackets:
sqlCreateDBQuery = String.Format(" CREATE DATABASE [{0}]", dbname);
I really hope you aren't allowing the user to type this name directly into a textbox somewhere. Even if you use property security on the initial input and this is pulled back from a common "clients" db of some kind, you might be setting yourself up for a 2nd order Sql Injection vulnerability.
After you've addressed that, we can look at the error message here. In this case, the problem is that your web user does not have appropriate CREATE permissions. You need to correct that and it should allow you to proceed. You probably want to reserve a special account for this that you switch to just at this time, so your application doesn't normally run in a context that would allow this kind of action.
Check the permissions for MySQL: Does your admin account have different settings for a local connection versus any host?
