Where I am doing wrong. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Try using prefixfree, this will help you to put the right prefix for css properties that needs specific prefix for a specific borwser. Just load the js file in the head tag

I've installed a module from https://desislavsd.gitbook.io and used it for my custom modal. However I have trouble the dropdown is not overlapping and stuck in here even adjusting z-index:999 does not do anything.
I also tried to make adjustments to the height but upon clicking the custom component but doesn't work because if I already make the height of the modal higher before the dropdown list is shown it would leave a big space below they dropdown which is not friendly looking.
Custom module https://jsfiddle.net/desislavsd/es2n6py0/
Either adjusting the height of the modal onclick will do or overlapping the dropdown as long as the lists are shown.

Btw I also have used some bootstrap classes in here mixed with custom styles
Awkward design but another possible solution if overlap does not work
Everything is going great, but I don't see this right and left arrors in my slide show. What should I do to fix it? I did the exactly what is in bootstrap documentation. I tried to look at on google, but couldn't find anything related to this issue. I need your help with this issue, please.

Background colour and button colour are white.
Either add a background color, like this:
#comments {
background-color: #ff0000;
}
Codepen: https://codepen.io/manaskhandelwal1/pen/yLaxyyV
or change the colour of the buttons, like this:
.carousel-control-prev-icon {
background-image: url("data:image/svg+xml;charset=utf8,%3Csvg xmlns='http://www.w3.org/2000/svg' fill='%23ff0000' viewBox='0 0 8 8'%3E%3Cpath d='M5.25 0l-4 4 4 4 1.5-1.5-2.5-2.5 2.5-2.5-1.5-1.5z'/%3E%3C/svg%3E") !important;

I wrote the media queries for smaller screens ,but i can not seem to make them work for ipads. I have a problem with the width of the header and the navbar. They don't seem to take up the full width even though I wrote margin and padding 0 (as an asterisk). The max-width of the html is 1600px. Here is a Print screen.

I can't figure where this space is coming from (marked in red in attached image)? Any pointers?
This is a 'Coming soon' page with mainly a masthead and a mastfoot, and some social links positioned differently if on mobile or desktop. I'm having problems with the mobile view.
This is the relevant HTML:
<div class="masthead">
<div class="masthead-bg"></div>
<div class="container h-100">
<div class="row h-100">
<div class="col-12 my-auto">

So far as I can tell - in this case, on desktop by resizing my window to be as thin as a mobile screen - it's because your content isn't tall enough to fill the screen.

Your mystery space is just the height of the <body>, unfilled by content.
I've set relative position for my row and then I tried to align my social buttons to the bottom right corner but failed ;(
I've also set absolute position for my social buttons class and it doesn't seem to align properly. Why is this so?
JsFiddle
HTML
<div class="container">
<div class="jumbotron">
<div class="row fixed-height">
<div class="col-xs-4">
<button class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-ok"></span>
Some button!
</button>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-8">
<div class="social-buttons">
<div class="btn-group-xs">
<button class="btn btn-default">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-thumbs-up"></span>
</button>
<button class="btn btn-default">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-thumbs-down"></span>
</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
CSS
.jumbotron {
margin: 10px;
}
.row {
margin: 8px 0;
border: solid;
}
.fixed-height {
height: 100%;
}
.social-buttons{
position: absolute;
bottom: 0;
right: 0;
}
Here is a possible solution:http://jsfiddle.net/cpveg8Lo/5/
CSS
Add position as relative in row css
.row {
margin: 2px 0;
border: solid;
position: relative;
}
and make the following change in social button css
.social-buttons{
position:absolute;
right: 0;
padding-right:0px;
bottom:0;
}
HTML
Update your html as shown below,
<div class="container">
<div class="jumbotron">
<div class="row fixed-height">
<div class="col-xs-4">
<button class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-ok"></span>
Some button!
</button>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-8 social-buttons">
<div class="pull-right">
<div class="btn-group-xs">
<button class="btn btn-default">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-thumbs-up"></span>
</button>
<button class="btn btn-default">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-thumbs-down"></span>
</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Here check this snippet. This will keep those button vertically centered as well. Try this -
.jumbotron {
margin: 10px;
}
.row {
margin-top: 8px;
margin-bottom: 8px;
border: solid;
}
.fixed-height {
height: 100%;
position:relative;
}
.social-buttons{
position:absolute;
right:15px;
top: 50%;
-moz-transform: translatey(-50%);
-ms-transform: translatey(-50%);
-o-transform: translatey(-50%);
-webkit-transform: translatey(-50%);
transform: translatey(-50%);
}
<link href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet"/>

<div class="jumbotron">
<div class="row fixed-height">
<div class="col-xs-4">
<button class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-ok"></span>
Some button!
</button>
</div>
<div class="social-buttons">
<div class="btn-group-xs">
<button class="btn btn-default">

</div>
</div>
</div>
