The rails in the command rails server is ruby executable. Is there a source code repository for this file? And which program installs it in my load path?

Is the bin\rails copied from the railties into your new project when you've run rails new (ie. the app generator). Source is here. It simply invokes rails/cli

I guess you double-clicked in exe file that provides after building in release mode :
For Deploy and create Exe output with QT in windows you should follow this way:
put your compiler path in your system path. now you use mingw81_64 you should set it. something like Qt/tools/mingw81_64/bin
copy exe file that provides after building in release mode in one folder and run mingw81_64 cmd (it has separate cmd)
and cd to that folder path
windeployqt app.exe
This command will get all dll needs for your app and your exe will work .
if you use qml
windeployqt --qmldir (the path of its directory ) app.exe

I have some Clojurescript source files that output messages to the browser console on a timer. Eventually I would like to make a Clojars library from these files. So far I have created an uberjar using lein. All the user of this library would need to do is :require a namespace from the library, and messages should be emitted to the browser console. Seeing these messages is the "all working fine" test I want to perform.
In other words how do I check that the jar file I have created works? Can I start off with a fresh lein project and just put the jar file in some special 'un-managed' directory and :require the namespace? Actually I don't think you can do such a thing with lein, hence the question.
Assuming you have a project.clj file already with the line
(defproject bigco/biglib "0.1.0-SNAPSHOT”
...
run
lein install
This will build the JAR and install it in your local Maven repo.
Then in your new project, add that dependency and run it.
If your jar (definition of jar includes uberjar of course) does not come neatly from a lein project then an alternative is to use Maven 2 directly:
mvn install:install-file -Dfile=./my-deps.jar -DgroupId=my-deps -DartifactId=my-deps -Dversion=1.0.0 -Dpackaging=jar
Here mvn will store the jar in your local .m2 maven repository. Once stored you can use this jar in any lein project on your machine by referring to it in the dependencies section:
[my-deps "1.0.0"]

I'm trying to package compass/sass into a self-contained jar so that I can use compass without installing jruby.
I installed jruby and warbler on a Windows7 machine, running Java 1.6.0_37
I created a folder, named it jrcompass, then installed compass into it, i.e.
jruby -S gem install compass -i .
then I ran in it:
jruby -S warble
which created a file named jrcompass.jar of about ~20MB in size. so far so good.
problem is that when I try to execute the jar I get an error message (below). it seemed from the error that jruby.home was not set, so I passed it as a property in the command line and that worked, but it defeats the purpose of having a self-contained jar.
if I try to pass . as jruby.home then I get an error that it can't find rubygems
any help would be appreciated. TIA.

I have a grails application and an installer for it. Everything is working with no problem. But, I recently updated the version of the HttpClient. The problem happens when a customer installs the new version of the application (without uninstalling the older version). The IzPack just copies all the files, replacing the ones with the same name. So, it creates conflicts with the older version of HttpClient (4.0.1) and the newer version (4.2). To be more specific, there are httpclient-xxx-4.2.jar files and httpclient-xxx-4.2.jar files. The application stops working because of this conflict.
I'd like to know if there's any way to remove the jar files of the lib directory BEFORE the IzPack copies the new ones.

So, I configured the IzPack to extract the jar files in a templib directory and created a script to delete the jar files of lib and move the new jars from templib to lib.
I am trying to use compass with Drupal 7, Basic theme and Compass module on my local hosting on Windows. It is already installed on my computer. Should i install it to my local webserver again, how can i know the path of existing Compass exutable?
Some more details would help get to the root of the problem:
Are you running compass from the command line, or using a GUI utility?
Did you install compass via gem install compass ?
What version of Windows are you running?
If you have properly installed ruby and compass, you should be able to cd into your drupal theme's directory and run compass watch to compile.
You can use the where command from the windows command prompt (where compass or, if that doesn't work where ruby) which will search your current directory and $PATH. If you cannot find compass, then you may need to reinstall compass/ruby.
