I have one game built using cocos2dx game engine, and I want to use Firebase features (Authentication using Google and Facebook), can you help me to select the best way to integrate with Firebase.
I tried using C++ sdk, but I had many issues. Then I tried to integrate it using Java code in the Android version, and it was working, but in the iOS version, I have issues.
Please your help to do it in iOS or use C++ sdk
Thanks

I'm developing a cross platform app: Web, PWA, iOS (Cordova) & Android (Cordova).
I use the same code base, and Firestore & Auth are working well on all the platforms using only the Web SDK.
However, when I add the Firebase Analytic plugin, it works as expected on the Web / PWA, but the iOS / Android apps do not seem to send back anything.
Is there a way to make Analytic works using only the Web SDK? Or is it mandatory to use a Cordova Plugin?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Note: I'm using Framework7 & VueJS
Edit 1
It seems that cordova is officially supported for analytic with the web SDK.
So the question becomes: do you have any idea why the implementation is working for "normal" app and break when on cordova?
https://firebase.google.com/support/guides/environments_js-sdk#other_environments
Edit 2
Now that I know that it should work, I'm trying harder to find solutions.
First, I observed in the Safari Console that on y web app, I can observe calls to https://www.google-analytics.com/g/collect every time I'm logging an event.
I do not observe those calls on the Cordova app, which is most probably the reason why I do not receive anything in my Firebase Analytics.
The question becomes: why are those call not made in cordova, considering the js the same?
Edit 3
Ok, I think I found the explanation:
Google Analytics from a file:// url
The question becomes: since Analytic is loaded automatically with firebase, how can I make this configuration?
Ideally, I would like a way to set the client id using a hash of my user uuid (as I said in my post, I'm using Firebase Auth).
How can I dynamically change the value each time a user connect to the app? Can Firebase directly take care of this?
I'm building a VR/AR calendar in Unity, and looking for the easiest way to read calendar event data from Google and Facebook (let's just start with Google). I've tried using the Google Calendar C# API, but Unity doesn't support .NET 4.0 or above (Google Calendar API only works with .NET 4.0 and above). Unity does have a .NET 4.6 Experimental version, but in Visual Studio after installing Google.Apis.Auth etc and other packages needed in PuTTY package manager the C# code would still not recognize the imported packages below:
using Google.Apis.Auth.OAuth2;
using Google.Apis.Calendar.v3;
using Google.Apis.Calendar.v3.Data;
using Google.Apis.Services;
using Google.Apis.Util.Store;
So next I tried a different approach: I tried installing the Unity Firebase plugin. It only works for iOS and Android for now, so I started a new project just to start clean. There are only a few YouTube videos about Firebase in Unity in general, and they don't get into Google Auth, just Google Analytics and regular plain email/password, so it's been trial and error for a few weeks now. I feel like this guy, except I'm not working with a FitBit, and I don't have it figured out. Does anybody have insight on how to go about this?
More important question: If I were to get Google Auth working through Firebase in Unity, how would I go about pulling the Google Calendar event data associated with that account? Would that be back through the C# script?
Is there another way all together that I'm probably missing? Thanks for any help!
To clarify your question. The Google Calendar API supports any language that can send HTTP POST and HTTP Gets. The Google .net client library currently requires a min of .net 4.5 to run. There is currently no support in the library for unity there is an issue here which states that we will probably not support it.
That being said you can still add google calendar to your project you will just have to code your own library for it.
I am building a dating app in xamarin forms. Everything is setup like login,peoples profiles ,payments etc. But now i got stuck on implementing voice call and chat functionality.
There are many library available of native IOS and android like Sinch,Twillio they are not available for xamarin forms. Is there any way of using these library (Specially sinch api).
I tried to achieve it using binding feature available in xamarin but end up with failure. As binding feature only useful in case AAR(Android archive) or Jar library. I was looking for some example or guidance where something like calling/chat/image editor (i.e. where UI and coding involve) has been implemented in xamarin by using native API.
You can use SendBird Messaging SDK and Chat API for Mobile Apps and Websites.
It has support for Xamarin officially and It has a nuget package NOT OFFICIAL for Xamarin.Forms It's works perfectly you can download here
Additionally, you can use this sample on Github that use this nuget package.
This answer is not spam. It's only a recommendation
You can use CometChat Xamarin SDK, It fits your above requirements perfectly. It has Audio/Video call functionalities builtin along with Audio/video broadcast & screen share. For more information you can check out the documentation at the following link:

I am building chat app and want to add voice chat feature. I came across webRTC protocol and there is package available for it in Meteor. But I found that it is developed for browsers. So if I used it in my application, I believe it will only work on the browser version.
Is there a way to implement audio calling feature that will work on IOS and Android as well?
For iOS and Android (Cordova), you need to use Cordova or PhoneGap package which implements WebRTC protocol and API.
You can easily google it, for reference take a look on phonertc package. I've used it in a few projects and can confirm what it works inside of Meteor app.
I am developing a mobile app with Robovm for ios.
I need to use Firebase in my app.
Is there any way to use Firebase in Robovm?
Update: we have added Firebase Analytics to our Robovm app and documented how to do that at https://www.squins.com/knowledge/adding-firebase-analytics-to-a-robovm-ios-app/
Original reply:
You will have to create bindings manually.
Some instructions to get started: https://github.com/MobiDevelop/robovm/wiki/How-are-bindings-to-existing-native-frameworks-generated%3F
On their Gitter chat-room, another libgdx developer is trying to achieve exactly that and he is being helped out by the maintainers of Robovm :-).
