I have a navbar with a few elements inside it and a button that escapes the navbar when i resize it. What CSS property should I style to keep the button in CSS to stop the button from escaping the navbar?
Attached is a JFiddle of an example of what happens:
https://jsfiddle.net/6Lx0hkfa/
.green-button {
font-size: 13px;
display: inline-block;
height: 50px;
width: 170px;
float: left;
margin-left: 235px;
padding: 6px 10px;
background-color: rgb(185, 233, 137);
color: rgb(43, 150, 190);
text-transform: uppercase;
border-radius: 0px;
border-width: 0px;
border-style: initial;
border-color: initial;
box-sizing: border-box;
}

I don't know what you are trying to achieve, but this one worked for me:
.green-button {
position: absolute;
}
This is a case where I would use float for simplicity. Note that this requires to put the link element on top of the rest of the wrapper's contents within the markup, but it's the most direct solution.
.green-button-link {
float: left;
}
.green-button {
font-size: 13px;
display: inline-block;
height: 50px;
width: 170px;
margin-right: 20px;
padding: 6px 10px;
background-color: rgb(185, 233, 137);
color: rgb(43, 150, 190);
text-transform: uppercase;
border-radius: 0px;
border-width: 0px;
border-style: initial;
border-color: initial;
box-sizing: border-box;
}

I tried searching the web for various answers and tried everything that solved other people problem, but my CSS just doesn't want to cooperate.
Here you can find a JSFiddle where I recreated the issue: I would like the side navigation to be visible on the black sections too.

As you can see i goes straight to the middle instead of the starting point of the div. I have set a margin and width for my div and when I do input an <H1> tag, the text just floats to the middle of the div instead of the far left where the div begins. I have set the width so it can start at that starting point not 45px to the left.

You can align your text like this,
h1 {
text-align: center;
}
h2 {
text-align: left;
}
h3 {
text-align: right;
}
If the text is in a div that is floating right or margin right, you could change it to
float: left;
I'm trying to align several DIVS, Images and text and I can't figure this out..
Here's what I'm trying to achieve:
Heres' my HTML
<div class="section5">
<div class="outer">
<div class="container1">
<img src="icon.png" width="85">
<div class="title1">Text</div>
<div class="subtitle1">Text</div>
</div>
<div class="container2">
<img src="iphone.png" width="375">
<div class="subtitle2">Text</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Here is my CSS:
.section5{ height: 525px; background-color: #5e6172; text-align: center; position: relative;}
.outer{ width: 80%; background-color: #45da45; height: 100%; margin: 0 auto; position: relative;}
.title1{color: #ffffff; font-size: 2.6em; font-family: h35; }
.subtitle1{color: #ffffff; font-size: 1.5em; font-family: h35; margin-top: 0.25em; }
.subtitle2{color: #ffffff; font-size: 1.5em; font-family: h35; margin-top: 0.25em; }
.container1{display: block; background-color: #ccc; }
.container2{display: block; background-color: #fffc1e; }
Here is the JSFIDDLE:
http://jsfiddle.net/mib92/hogwohf8/
My current problems:
1) My text at the bottom needs to be on the right side of the image.. center like in my example image.
2) the bottom of my bottom picture must be align to the bottom of container2 AND the bottom of section5
3) While doing this, the container 1 must remain in the vertical middle of the remaining space of the section5.
Thank you
I hops it's help you.

I want to crate a search bar similar to that of https://www.zomato.com/ Exactly the same layout.
I am able create a floating search box on top of my background image. Not sure how to join various input fields and button side by side. This is the css I have as of now.
.search {
background:rgba(0,0,0,0.6);
border: 2px solid #414141;
border-radius: 5px;
padding: 10px;
}
header {
text-align: center;
color: #fff;
background-attachment: scroll;
background-image: url(../img/header-bg.jpg);
background-position: center center;
background-repeat: none;
-webkit-background-size: cover;
-moz-background-size: cover;
background-size: cover;
-o-background-size: cover;
}
header .intro-text {
padding-top: 100px;
padding-bottom: 50px;
}
header .intro-text .intro-lead-in {
margin-bottom: 25px;
font-family: "Droid Serif","Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
font-size: 22px;
font-style: italic;
line-height: 22px;
}
As for the HTML:
<body id="page-top" class="index">
<!-- I have a navbar here -->
<!-- Header -->
<header>
<div class="intro-text">
<div class="intro-lead-in">Welcome To Our Studio!</div>
<div class="intro-heading">It's Nice To Meet You</div>
</div>
</header>
</body>
this is a fiddle which containes the style of the bar. I think it may help you.Main interest css is:

<!-- end header-navigation -->

The code seems to be based on bootstrap.css rebuild. Hope it helps.
